Well & Water Pump Repair reviews in Vienna

We chose Value Dry to wrap the unfinished portion of our basement, address a leak where our water line entered the house, and repair our sump pump. A colleague recommended them to us, and we liked their proposal the best among those we obtained. They did a nice job overall, stayed on schedule, and cleaned things up after they were done. We would use them again for this type of work.

I have 2 sump pumps in my basement with battery backups. H. R. Furr responded quickly and professionally. Curtis Duncan was the plumbing technician and he was very professional, courteous, and efficient. He explained everything he was doing and what the cost would be. Both sump pumps were replaced in time for pending hurricane threats this weekend. 5 stars!

Sherry was my plumber and she is the best.  I highly recommend her if you need a plumber.  She was very meticulous and thorough.  She came on time as scheduled.  When she was done, she showed me everything I needed to know and made sure to clean everything up afterwards.  If you need a plumber, ask for Sherry!  I will!

.From the sales process to the completion of the work All Aspects was extremely professional. There price was the best of the three quotes I received.  The salesman, Jeff, was very detailed in explaining the problem and the work required to correct it. He was very helpful with scheduling the work. They arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work. They helped me move a few items that were to heavy for me to move myself.  John, the foreman, was explained the work he would be doing and kept me up to date on the progress.  The work took 2 1/2 days.  They cleaned up every night before they left and at the end of the job.  The work was performed to perfection.  i would recommend All Aspects to anyone needing waterproofing work.

Grant and his team are awesome. First off, Grant is very responsive to both email and text (he responded to me via email one night past 11pm!). Also, Grant is the kind of guy that sells you what you need (not what makes the company the most money) and gives you straight answers. He doesn't use fear or high-pressure tactics to sell you on his work. One other thing - the guy is a real gentleman (plenty of yes sir/mam type stuff).
Originally, we had Grant come over to give us a proposal on a sump pump system for our basement (as we wanted an estimate for home expense budgeting purposes). He was very honest with us and said that our basement probably didn't need a sump pump after his assessment. We were also looking for window-well/regrading of soil near basement, which he provided right on the spot (this was back in January).
Called Grant back in early March and got the project scheduled for March 24. Miss Utility came out a week before (at Drainage LLC's direction) to ensure that no utility lines would be impacted by the work performed. As promised, Grant and his team came out and performed all work as agreed to. Lots of regrading work, digging out old nasty bushes, hauling stone, etc. His team even put down grass seed/hay for me (at no cost).
I would highly recommend Drainage Solutions, LLC.

The instillation team arrived on time and performed an outstanding job of replacing two air conditioning and heating systems.  The team (John, Travis, Carlos, Tony and Tim) were very professional and knowledgeable and efficient.  They placed tarps on the floor and cleaned everything before they left.  They also removed the old units.  I was very impressed with their work and can highly recommend them to anyone looking for service on home heating and air conditioning systems.

Before I had this work done, I purchased a 3-year service plan that included a whole house inspection. When they did the inspection, they came up with a litany of things that should be fixed. I think only some of them were really necessary, and I proceeded with the ones that I thought were (replace rubber washer hoses, sump pump) and proceeded with a few that I'm not really sure I needed (CPVC lines, dishwasher line). There were several others they suggested that i declined - reworking water heater valves, replacing gas line, replacing disposal. I gave them a B on price because they seem like their prices are pretty high (roughly $200) for some pretty routine stuff - fixing toilets, unclogging slow drains. I won't use them for these small projects like toilet flappers and sink drains but would use them again for any more substantial repairs.

They were very responsive. I called that day and they came out to replace a sump pump. It may be the time of the year but they kept their word when they could come and were very easy to work with. As I was not there, they called me to keep me informed of the issues and explained the work that they performed. I am very happy with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone! I would definitely use them again!

    • Misdiagnosed the problem of the filtration system, provided and recommended the wrong solutions meaning extra reserve tank that do not fix the problem and lied about previous work on the same house. Delay in services for 3 months leading to extra repairs and headaches.

Summary: Casco is the purveyor of a bait and switch Angie's List "deal" which ended up costing 3x the original, which itself wouldn't have met code or building standards.
Note I'm a pretty good amateur plumber so I know how much parts cost and how long plumbing work takes to complete.
The details: We had a leaky outside hose bibb on our recently purchased house that I knew to be neither anti-siphon or frost resistant and therefore a risk for the coming winter. After this project sat on my to do list for awhile, I saw and bought this "deal" on AL while feeling a bit guilty that I wasn't just doing the work myself especially given the easy crawl space access at that part of the house. But I figured $99 to get the faucet winterized sooner was likely money well spent.
The deal was described as "$99 Outdoor Hose Faucet Replacement" with no further description, a red flag I should have followed up on to verify my assumption that they'd be bringing the bibb up to code and standards (anti-siphon, frost free).
Scheduling was easy and communication was good. When the plumber showed up, we learned the deal involved unscrewing the old bibb (the "faucet") and replacing with a new one, not putting in the frost-free, anti-siphon faucet we expected. He then quoted an additional $76 to screw on the code-required bibb that's anti-siphon (which he eventually waived) and another $321 to change it to a frost-free model (which he discounted to $268 after our conversation). When I pointed out that I could buy a top end brass frost free faucet for $40 at Lowe's (and presumably he would be able to buy even cheaper wholesale), he suggested he was installing an even-better-than-brass version, a questionable conclusion on quality of parts. He did good work and was in and out in less than 2 hours.
The best part was how I assured this is how it is with contractors in northern Virginia. For all of our sake, I hope not.
Original Deal: $99. Final cost: $367.
    Let's make some further assumptions:
2 hours (was more like 1 hour on faucet replacement but we'll round up)
$40 faucet (probably cheaper for them to buy wholesale)
$10 in various teflon tape, copper components, torch gas, solder, etc. (seems high)
    $50 in parts
    $367 - $50 = $317 in labor / 2 hours = $158/hour. I'm in the wrong business.
