    Fairfax Yellow Cab
    We had made prior arrangements for this company to have a cab at our home at a specific time to take us the airport. My wife called several times to confirm, the last time being the day before our travel. Each time she was told that the appointment was confirmed. In fact, when we called the company we could hear the details of our appointment. When the morning of travel came there was no cab. We called and got no answer. The automated system confirmed our pick up yet again but there was no cab. We rushed out totally unexpectedly in our car and had to park at the airport which cost us $200. On the way to the airport I finally got through to a person at the company. She was totally unconcerned about our situation. She kept saying that the cab would call 25 minutes ahead despite that they were already 30 minutes past due by this point. I explained to her that when one is trying to catch a flight the pick up can't be more than a few minutes late, much less an hour. It was like talking to a wall. She was just so clueless. Could utterly care less. This company is a TOTALLY UNRELIABLE DISASTER!!! NEVER depend on them to pick you up at a specific time. They are just THE WORST!!!! I would avoid them at all cost.

    Scrub Pirates

    Very disappointed.  Poor job and even worse follow up.  I had 2 small boats (2012 18ft & 2013 19ft) that I wanted detailed.  They needed cleaning, minor oxidation work and waxing.  I called scrub pirates and asked for a quote.  The amount quoted was too expensive so I declined.  The next day Patrick called me with a better "deal".  Mind you I did not try to negotiate.  He called me!  He offered to do each boat for $300, $600 total that he said was for the complete package, (compounding to remove oxidation, washing, polishing, cleaning the seats, cleaning the carpets, etc.).  He said the boats would look like new.  His words not mine.  He also told me he would send out two crews. 





    So the day comes he is supposed to do the work and I call him to see if he is coming.  He said his wife had an appendix attack and had been in the hospital and could he come the next day?  I said yes.  They showed up at about 10:15am with three workers, worked until, 1:00, left for about :45 minutes, came back and worked until about 4:30 and let for the day.  This didn't seem like enough labor to do a decent job but figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt.  I inspected the job and sure enough it was lousy.  They didn't get all the grime off the bottom.  They didn't get all the oxidation out of the gel coat.  They didn't get the some paint transfer off the hull.  They didn't remove the seats and clean any under seat storage compartments.  They didn't clean the carpet.  I had to do all this work.  It took me several hours but I was able to clean what they couldn't/didn't.  They were either lazy, rushed or incompetent. 





    So again I contacted Patrick.  It took several days for him to get back to me.  He said his child had been in the hospital and could he get back to me soon?  I said yes.  Not wanting to bother him I waited over three weeks and I never got a call or text back.  I texted him and it's been several weeks and still no response.  My assumption is that I will never hear back. 





    I will never use the company again.  The combination of lack of quality and business etiquette is extremely disappointing.  Note, while Patrick was going through his issues I offered to allow his crew to contact me so he could deal with this drama but no one ever bothered to contact me.

    Lisa's Elite Sedans LLC
    We had arranged for Mike to pick us up at 6:00am to take us to Dulles airport. The evening before Mike called us to confirm the time and was actually in our driveway a few minutes early which was fine.  We asked how to find him upon our return to DCA. He said he would be waiting for us in the cell phone lot and to give him a all once we had our baggage. (He gave us his card with his information). Mike actually called us as we were on our way to the baggage carousel to let us know he was waiting in the lot. We called him as soon as we had our luggage and Mike was at the curb within a few minutes.  It was pouring out but Mike had an umbrella to keep us and the luggage dry.
    Mike is friendly and extremely professional. His rates are very reasonable and he takes charges. (He emails the receipt to you immediately. We also appreciated the mints that he keeps in the back seat for his passengers. We will use Mike from now on and happily recommend Mike and Lisa's Elite Sedan

    For Boating enthusiasts or those new to the world of boating, finding a reputable, honest and straight talking dealer is the beginning of an adventure in the world of water. An adventure that can be a life changing passion. I wish there were
    superlatives that could adequately convey the experience I had in purchasing my new boat, a 31��� Chaparral Cruiser thru Hoffmasters, a Bennington, Chaparral and Cobalt dealer in Northern Virgina. My purchase was an upgrade from a bow rider
    wake boarding Jet boat to a serious cabin cruiser, and for me a major financial undertaking. From the very outset, when I made the decision to upgrade, I did my research, identified the boat I wanted and then proceeded to look for a dealer. After meeting and talking with various dealers in a two state area, it was a no brainer that I went with Hoffmasters in Woodbridge, Virginia, based on the fantastic exchange of information--that was quite frankly missing from other manufacturers and dealers. Hoffmasters promptly answered all my stupid questions without missing a beat, now as a customer that is what we like and need! Wish I could say it was a straight forward purchase with no issues, but unfortunately there were bumps in the road. This is when, as a customer, you can tell when you are in fact dealing with a professional who truly cares about the client and it���s not all about his bottom line. A chain of events occurred with the boat delivery, totally outside anyone���s control. Just plain unfortunate. However, thru Joe the owner, Tracey, Judy, Sam and all the others on his team, the issue was resolved to everyone���s satisfaction and mine more than I ever thought possible. Joe literally took ownership of the issue and set in motion the ultimate resolution, even before we got there to discuss options! What could have potentially been a horrendous ordeal turned out to be, for me, a lesson in what it means to take pride in serving the customer, who is actually treated as family and not just as a customer and not only with courteous and respectful interaction but with true compassion and understanding, ��� that is Hoffmasters personified and as Sam would say, it���s ���pop��� Hoffmasters way pure and simple. Wish all dealers had the same brand of ethics and business acumen. Thanks Joe and team, well played!!

    Northern Virginia Town Car & Limousine Service
    We contacted Northern VA town car to take us to the from IAD for a trip.  He picked us up on time even though it was 4:30 AM.  He suggested a route to the airport and we went with his suggestion.  He put the radio station on our type of music.  We had a very comfortable and pleasant ride to the airport.  On our return flight we were delayed a bit getting in.  As soon as I landed the driver called me to let me know he was out front waiting for us.  It took us about another 45 minutes to get to the airport entrance.  He picked us up right where he said he would.  We had a very comfortable and enjoyable ride back to our house.  I would use them again to go to the airport or any other car service I needed.

    Dulles Taxi & Sedan
    On the evening of the ball I received a call 30 minutes from scheduled pickup time from a driver who said he was on his way. When asked the kind of car he was driving he said it was a minivan. I told the driver we had arranged for a town car and called the dispatcher to correct the situation. He told me that another car would arrive shortly. The second driver arrived one hour late in a town car. When told the destination was the Convention Center, he refused to go saying traffic would be too heavy. A second call to the dispatcher was required. On the way the driver tried to drop us off at the metro and at various places along the way in DC to pick up a cab. It was all we could do to get within 6 blocks of our destination. He then had the nerve to demand a $30 tip. After the event ended Dulles Taxi refused to send a car to pick us up and left us stranded in DC at midnight. We had to flag down a cab which took an hour in the cold. When I called to complain about our experience the next day the owner was very loud and rude and told me they did not need my business and I should not call back. I assured him that there was little chance that they would be hearing from me again. The ball was a wonderful experience but Dulles Taxi tarnished the evening for us. I will never do business with them again and would urge anyone who asks my opinion to avoid doing business of any kind with them as well.

    SKYHAWK CHAUFFEURED SERVICES
    I opted to take a car service  to and from Union Station from my home in Vienna, since  it was for business travel and I thought it would just be quicker and easier for me. Skyhawk did a great job of  providing me with a fast quote and following up on that, and since it received great reviews on Angie's List,  I opted to go with it, given that the prices were comparable to other estimates I received. The driver who picked me up from my home was a wonderful guy and I really enjoyed chatting with him. He opted to take a route based on his GPS recommendation, given traffic on the highways (morning rush hour plus rain); in retrospect, I should have pushed him to take a different route. I ended up missing my train; while traffic certainly wasn't his fault, and again, if I felt he should have taken a different route I should have spoken up. However, one of the reasons I chose to take a car service rather than drive myself was because I figured that someone who does this for a living would  know the best way to go.
    Coming home, I stood in front of Union Station in the cold for  20 minutes waiting for my car. When it finally arrived,  the driver told me that he didn't have the right mobile number for me (apparently he was using my home number, even though I had given the company both home and mobile) and had he had the correct  number he would have called me and told me where to meet him, given that the pickup area at the station was crowded. However, given that it was a Friday afternoon, and of inauguration weekend no less,  it seems as though anticipating the conditions and arriving earlier would have been the more professional thing to do.
    Honestly, I could have overlooked the issues with both legs of this trip, had someone just offered a simple apology. "I'm sorry you missed your train" or "I'm sorry you had to wait" would have gone a long way.

    All Stretched Limousine Service
    As you can see we spent quite a bit more that the advertised price of $259.  10 of us went on this 'wine' tour.  What the fine print does tell you is that fuel and gratuity are extra; what it doesn't tell you is that you have to pay for any wine tastings separately - they are not included.  So we found the "Wine Tour" offer to be really misleading.  Basically you have hired a limo for 5 hours.  Next time we may stay home to drink wine and have the limo driver take our kids to dance and soccer. : )
    Also, they said up to 10 people in the limo - we were pretty cozy - so I would say 8 might be better if you are not such close friends.
    The reservation operator knew her stuff, but  she could have been friendlier.  It was very easy to make the reservation.
    The driver, Brian, was terrific.  Very professional and very nice.
    We had a great day - lots of fun.

    From the time I contacted Washington Execu-Coach to take me to Reagan National Airport for a business trip, it's been a truly pleasurable experience. The driver arrived approximately 15 minutes ahead of my scheduled pick-up time in an immaculate Mercedes, and he professionally drove me to the airport with plenty of time to spare. I appreciated Washington Execu-Coach's fixed price policy of $60 per trip, which eliminated the tactics taxi drivers have previously tried to gouge me, such as bag fees and taking the long way home. I also appreciated being able to use a credit card to pay for the service and not having to getting into arguments with cab drivers who insisted on getting paid in cash.
    I would have liked to give Washington Execui-Coach an A+, but I can't do so. The next best thing I could do was to place a reservation for Washington Execu-Coach to take me home upon completion of my business trip.

    Northern Virginia Town Car & Limousine Service
    They were very punctual.  The drivers were courteous.  The service was an A and I would certainly use them again.  The only problem I had was when I was waiting for my luggage, the driver called me to let me know that he was there which was good.  I told him that I was waiting for my bag and he told me to call him when I got my bag.  Well, his number didn't register on my phone and he didn't give me his phone number so I couldn't call him back.  I ended up having to call the service and she called him and got him.  I don't think that would have been a normal thing that would happen.  He was very courteous and he was there on time, we just had a little trouble connecting.
