    We have used Home Paramount (Falls Church Va branch) for close to 18 years and have always been pleased with their service. In 2018, we tried a new pest control company that marketed themselves door-to-door with a lower price. That negative experience with the other company taught me just how good a provider Home Paramount is!! After one year away, we recontracted with Home Paramount. Here's why: #1 - The customer service phone reps are very courteous, responsive and quick. Always get a live person fairly quickly and they can easily answer questions or can reschedule us swiftly when needed. They are also highly accommodating with scheduling (the other company was always overwhelmed or booked or busy). #2 - Home Paramount always comes on the day scheduled and in the window promised. The other company we tried really struggled in this department, so I grew to really appreciate Home Paramount's commitment to coming when they say they will. #3 - Our service technician at our first house stayed the same over the years, and when we moved to Vienna, our new service technician has also continued to be the same. This continuity of staff makes a big difference... builds trust, they get to know your property and how to better serve and track bug issues. #4 -- They have always gladly come back in between quarterly visits and have had good suggestions for any pesky issue -- like silverfish in bathroom (went in our attic to treat there) and setting separate traps for spiders in basement. Very thorough outside as well. Price-wise, I don't know how they compare, but their quarterly price is not excessive and stays the same. Rarely have price hikes. I would definitely highly recommend Home Paramount -- particularly after that year away from their service! Taught me just how substandard some pest control companies can be!

    Great; very impressed with the professionalism of everyone I spoke with, from scheduling to nest removal. Tech called me the morning of to confirm the location and discuss possibilities of the hornets returning (which did not happen). Would definitely use again.

    Our first year 2017 it went well. Our second year 2018 did not go well. They did not send us a service contract renewal and they increased their rates without notifying me and then they just started spraying. I called and they noted there was a rate increase. Curiously, they did not come often. We know because they leave a service notification on the front door when they spray. I called and it was confirmed that when it rains heavily they do not come. It was a rainy summer and we paid for many service days that did not happen due to the weather.. Some kind of courtesy notification would have been helpful such as an email noting we cannot spray your yard this week, but will try on (blank) date. They certainly readily email their invoice. I called two weeks ago well-ahead to cancel service for this summer. The administrative woman tried to talk me into renewing. I firmly said no and then she had the gall to suggest I speak with my husband before making the final decision. I politely and firmly said no thank you and that I do not need to speak with my husband. I reinerated that were definitely not using their service. She said it was ���done.��� What leads me to this review is that I have since received two invoices - one by email and one by mail. Last year they did the same and started spraying our yard without our permission. I think that is their way of wrangling you in. Send the invoice and show up and spray. Poor business practices. Good results in the yard, but they run it poorly with dollars in mind, not on good customer service.

    I used this service for a couple years to keep the pests out. Oscar, the technician, was a kind, knowledgeable man whom I trusted. He did great about addressing our mice issue when one came up about a year into the service. Their quarterly service didn't address the stink bugs that kept coming in and they couldn't help when we had a bat family take up roost in our attic even for an additional cost. When I paid the $100 extra for the stink bugs they assured me that the extra spraying wouldn't kill bees which it did---for a month straight I found 2-3 dead bees near my flowers each morning. So sad given their overall decline. In the end, it just wasn't a good service since they a) couldn't help with some of my pest problems and b)charged extra to attack those they could help in addition to the quarterly fee. Would not recommend.

    Great. Aaron Aiken was very knowledgeable. Checked attic, vents, even under beds. Said it was not a dead animal. Pointed us to a plumbing problem with easy fix. He was great. Did find and remove two very e dead birds in attic (not source of odor.)

    This is our second year using Environmental Pest Control to keep mosquitoes away during the summer, and we're very happy with the service. I don't think we've seen a mosquito in 2 years, so we're definitely signing up for next summer.

    CroppMetcalfe has been a service provider for me for several years and for several different services. Primarily, I used Cropp for regular HVAC maintenance. I have also signed on with them for regular pest control service, as I live in a wooded area. I switched to Cropp for pest control in 2017 for two reasons: 1) I knew they would do good work based on my past experience with HVAC, and 2) when my former, locally-owned & operated pest control company was purchased by a larger, national entity, the pricing went up with no new services or amenities added. Cropp was highly competitive on cost and I like that they are headquartered in my community, Lastly, they installed a new hot water heater for me when mine gave up the ghost last year (after 20 years!). Their technicians are courteous and knowledgeable professionals, through and through. It's easy to schedule appointments, and they use technology wisely (technicians work with mobile devices not paper forms, they use auto-reminder phone calls, and so on). On occasion, they are delayed for appointments, although no more so than other service providers. I chalk this up to the awful traffic we have in the DC/NoVA area and that technicians don't always know in advance how big of a job they will encounter in any given home. They do always call if they will be late, and you can also ask for the 1st appointment of the day (assuming your need is not an emergency).

    I had a mouse problem in a rental property, called Perma Treat and they came out within 3 hours ( full disclosure, I have an annual pest control contract with them), they correctly diagnosed the issue as mice nesting in the attic. We had them remove all old insulation and installed new TAP insulation. They followed up after 30 days and there are no signs of mice. The workers were courteous and cleaned up well during and after installation. In fact, because we felt so comfortable, we had them come out and do the same for our own home! Highly recommended! Ralph was excellent in explaining everything.

    Very good in the beginning, when name changed don't know what happened. They stopped doing the inside of our lower level where we had the problem with crickets.....we started having them again. Did not do a thorough job of the outside....we needed to call them back inbetween their scheduled services. We just got tired of calling them and the technician got tired of coming and let us know.

    CENTURY TERMITE & PEST CONTROL
    We had squirrels in our attic, who were attempting to gnaw a whole through the attic into our bedroom. Century Termite and Pest came to replace the fascia boards, where the squirrels had entered the attic. They then removed all of our old insulation, sanitized upstairs and put in new insulation. The quality of the work was fine, however, I was very disappointed in the professionalism and punctuality of the crew. They said they would arrive between 8-9 a.m. They did not arrive until almost 10 a.m. This was a significant problem as I had to rearrange morning meetings due to my late arrival at work because the crew couldn't show up on time. When I arrived home, the front door of the house along with an upstairs bedroom window were wide open. I realize they have to do this for the work, however, they did not communicate this to us or we would have turned our heat down significantly for the day. It was a cold day earlier this month and our thermostat had been set to 70 degrees. When I walked in the door the actual temperature read 61 in the house and the heat had been running nearly constantly to try to make up for this differential. After the work was completed, I both called and emailed the company to express my disappointment in the service. I never heard anything back from them. Nothing. With the work costing $3500 I expected a better experience than what we received.
