i have been going to Dr. Suarez since 2008. I met with other dermatologists, but didnt like their treatment plans or felt they didnt want to listen to my concerns. Dr. Suarez has good skin, is patient and listens to my concerns. I appreciate that when she recommends products, she recommends reasonably priced over the counter moisturizers. The products she has recommended have improved my skin and ...

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
I went for a follow up for acne and to obtain a new prescription. The doctor arrived promptly and knew my history. The appointment was quick, approximately 15 minutes, but I was able to have all my answered questions and the doctor completed the paperwork to fax my prescriptions to the pharmacy.

I used to see Dr. Faria, but switched to Dr. Suarez a few years ago after Dr. Faria started doing some new age healing nonsense and wanted to talk about my "energies" instead of treating a viral outbreak. Dr. Surarez, however, is very competent and had a great bedside manner. She reviewed my past charts and looked over my entire body for any changes, making sure to ask me about any current changes...

I saw Dr. Faria at Excel Dermatology on the recommendation of my primary care physician and primarily because of her academic credentials as a teaching faculty at a major hospital. I have a rash that "flares and recedes" located on my legs and now spreading to my arms. A previous dermatologist, no longer in my managed care network, had suggested possible lupus but not done the biopsy to confirm an...

My daughter still has severe acne, but I think at her age and bodily changes have more to do with it than any success or not from Dr Faria's treatment. We will be starting another round of laser treatment soon to try to deal with the scarring. I like the fact that Dr Faria recommends books and dietary changes that, even if do not directly help with the acne, are good things for my kids to hear abo...

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
My three kids have all gone to Dr Faria over the past two years. My youngest still goes to Excel for acne. Dr Faria blends standard dermatology with a holistic approach that includes diet and lifestyle changes. I find her approach logical and straightforward. My daughter doesn't buy into the approach as wholeheartedly. Dr Faria has recommended Accutane a couple times, but I am very opposed to that line of treatment, so she has tried to work with us on dietary changes and skin care. We have also had laser treatment for acne scars with some success.
