    Looney's Tile & Grout
Excellent. I had been fighting over the years to re-caulk problem areas myself, and I did a horrendous job. Ramon showed up when promised (with a call about 30 minutes before to let us know he was on the way), and he even took his shoes off inside the house (which we don't require in our house, but it was appreciated). He worked hard, scrubbing and cleaning the grout, and pulling out all of my terrible caulk work. He re-caulked everything, and even pointed out other areas in our bathroom that we should think about having fixed in the future (he's right). He also caulked an area that our builder should have caulked, but never did. Our shower looked GREAT after he was done. We are very happy, and when we're ready to get the other stuff fixed (tile floor), we'll definitely call Looney's for an estimate.

    Miracle Method of Fairfax
Since I was extremely pleased with the previous results I called Miracle Method for a second job to resurface an old shower. I had no desire to remove the drywall and start the re-modeling from scratch so I used miracle method of Fairfax for the second time. Again Charles showed up and did a terrific job on the shower. He ensured that all caulk residue was removed and then continued to do a great job on the resurfacing of the shower. I am extremely pleased with the results. Adam from Fairfax.

    Miracle Method of Fairfax
The service professional Charles showed up on time and made the magic happen. He was extremely diligent about the whole process taking his time to do things right like removing all the caulk in the tub and surrounding the bathtub. He was very pleasant to discuss the project  and the steps involved. I highly recommend Miracle method of Fairfax as well as Charles services. After everything was completed he came the next weekend to polish the bathtub. Great results. I am very pleased. Adam of Fairfax

    JW Home Improvement
The total experience working with JW was excellent. There was a little confusion between us when the estimator came out instead of the technician. i needed a kitchen cabinet removed for the installation of a new refrigerator the next day. The estimator understood my dilemma and proceeded to remove the cabinet using my tools. As an estimator he carried no tools. i was not charged for his time removing the cabinet. Super customer service. A follow up estimator came out to review the remaining work. The estimate was reasonable and the work was scheduled. The technician, Glenn Spilman, arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work. He was very professional and polite. He made sure everything he did met my expectations and he kept everything neat and clean. The final cost of the job was slightly less than the estimate. Glenn was super to work with and i would gladly have him back.

Custom Tub & Tile Resurfacing LLC
We tried repeatedly to speak to the company to get work scheduled.  Each time, they said they had not received a purchase order from Angie's List.  I'm not sure where the blame should go for that, but their agents were not helpful in trying to resolve the issue.
Finally, they called today to schedule the work and asked me provide a credit card number that they could have on file. As the work had already been paid for via Angie's List, I asked why the credit card number was needed. The representative said they would not schedule the work without my providing a credit card number. Again, I said this was most unusual and no other company had asked for a credit card number to be kept on file.  The company agent then hung up on me.  Buyers beware. Something is wrong here, and the company's telephone reps are less than courteous or helpful, and there's absolutely no reason they should ask for your credit card number.

    JW Home Improvement
The handyman who came to my house was awesome.  His name was Kenny and when I use JW again I'm going to request him to do the work.
Only complaint was the process for getting the estimate.  I bought a 3 hour Angie's List deal and the person I met with originally told me I had more work than 3 hours worth, so I decided to only have the above work done.  But, Kenny got it done with extra time so he offered to fix our storm door too.  I would recommend to others getting this deal (or ANY hourly deal with other vendors) to have ideas/supplies for other little projects that need to be done in case the handyman finishes a little early.

    Virginia Bathtub Refinishing
The provider was supposed to come at 1:00 today.  It is 2:45 and they have not come.  I called and texted and just received a text back stating that he was running late and could come tomorrow.  I had to take the day off of work to be here.  This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

    Eco Bathtub & Tile Restoration
When I purchased the big deal it gave me choices of dates and time to select 3 time slots. This was bogus as the first time slot they actually had was over 2 weeks out. But once I got the message and responded that time slot was filled. I called them to stop all the back and forth. Their phone system said to press 8 if you had already purchased and wanted to schedule, but just routed me back to the main menu. Other choices also routed me to voice mails as well so their phone system was frustrating. The only way I could speak to a person was to press the option that was basically for ordering something new. Once I got someone on the line I was get it scheduled, again another 2 1/2 weeks out. The service as good but not great, but I definitely happy with it for $99 (Big deal for 250sqft of tile and grout cleaning). If I had paid the regular price of $250 I might not be as happy. But it definitely was a a big improvement and I would use them again with at the right price.

Globe Bath & Kitchen Remodeling LLC
Overall, it was a pleasure working with everyone we met at Globe Kitchen and Bath. Essentially, they remodeled two- 40-year-old bathrooms into 2 beautiful up to date bathrooms within a month.  The result is just as we had hoped. We love our new bathrooms.  It was a pleasure doing business with Adem, and his assistant, José, Eric, and Andrea. The details follow.
We called Globe Kitchen and Bath because of reviews we had read on Angie?s List. We also interviewed an additional contractor that never returned with an estimate for the job and got a full plan and estimate from a third company.  Initially we met with Sirage Adem, the president of the company.  He came to our house within a week of our phone call.  He and his assistant met with us to discuss our remodeling vision.  We were pleased that Mr. Adem offered some ideas that we hadn't considered and provided possible solutions to design issues we had, given the space constraints of our home.  One of the ideas that he offered was to include some features that will allow independent home living, if we choose to live in the house as we age.  We now have grab bars in both bathrooms and a barrier free shower. (The grab bars are designed so that they blend in with the overall design and provide support without interrupting the overall look of the bathroom.  They are almost hidden features.)
He offered an appointment at their showroom within a couple of days to select tiles, flooring, cabinets, granite, bathroom fixtures, doors, etc.  They had an overwhelming number of product options.  Again, Mr. Adem was very helpful.  When we talked with him about our overall vision, he directed us to the floor and bath tiles that would suit that design vision.  It made it very easy at that point for my husband and I to make our tile, fixture, cabinet, flooring, and granite choices. We planned to replace everything in a small bathroom that included a bathtub.  It was essentially gutted except for the tub.  We chose to re-glaze the tub instead of replacing the tub.  The second bathroom was a small bathroom with a shower that was combined with an outside sink vanity area into a larger bathroom with a double vanity and barrier free shower with a glass door.  This required a new door, and wall, which they added.  They also added lights over the shower and bathtub, tiles from floor to the ceiling, and outlets within the vanities.  They added a light to the adjoining closet, replaced the closet door, and painted the door.
Adem visited our home one or two more times to check the measurements and clarify or change the contract as we finalized the plan.  The work began in late March, about 6 weeks after we started the process.  Globe Kitchen and Bath was ready to start earlier, but due to family plans we held off a couple of weeks. The construction crew consisted of José and Eric. They worked on both bathrooms at the same time and took advantage of the opportunities to work efficiently.  They were the hardest workers we've ever had doing any remodeling project at our home.  They were punctual, worked through the day, and cleaned up before they left.  A few snags came up along the way with things found in our older house that needed to be replaced or were unanticipated, miss-communication, or changes that we wanted to make.   As with all contractors we've had in the past, we found that it's important to be on-site in the event of questions/decisions and to review the job often to be sure that everything is incorporated according to the contract.  The folks at Globe Kitchen and Bath were responsive and made any necessary changes. In the end, we felt the cost adjustments for the changes and additional work not in the contract were fair.

The Grout Medic - Northern VA
George Collins, the General Manager, visited our home to give us an estimate. He was very professional about analyzing the problems and gave us a reasonable estimate for the repairs. On March 24, 2015 the technician arrived to do the work. The work took about 2 to 3 hours and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The technician knew his job well, and the final result made us both very satisfied. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone needing these types of repairs, and in fact, we have already recommended them to some friends.
