    5 Brothers Lawn Care, LLC.
If you have a landscaping project, DEFINITELY call the 5 brothers! We had an acre of land which, despite a goodly cover of pine straw, had grown a bumper crop of weeds. The weeds were so thick and tall that you couldn't tell that we had bushes and flowers planted there. When we contacted the 5 Brothers they responded quickly, came out to evaluate the situation, and sent us a detailed (and very appropriate) estimate. We approved the work they proposed, and they came out promptly. Despite heat that would make a dragon sweat they completed the work in a day and a half. In fact, they cleared MORE than we asked for, "as a courtesy". The yard looks great, and we anticipate that weeds will only be a minor distraction in the future. We have used the 5 Brothers several times in the past, and have been more than satisfied on each occasion. We have no hesitation in recommending the 5 Brothers. I wish more businesses were like them.

I was frantic to get my sprinkler system activated! My lawn was drying out and becoming hay. The irrigation system had leaks I could not fix and it would not operate. The company that installed my system three years ago and serviced it several times a year would not return my daily calls. Too busy. After about a dozen calls, they eventually called but could not schedule a visit.
I called other firms, but it was the same. They were all too busy even to call me back. I found A Plus Landscaping on Angie's List. I described my situation and they promised to be at my home in an hour. They were, fixed the problems and activated my system. For this responsiveness, I grade them as "outstanding." I also became their new customer and am discarding my former lawn irrigation system company.

The price was a little high. The quality of service is spotty. The workers were all very good. They were great. The workers were good, I felt management was not paying attention. The workers came and did what they were supposed to do, they were courteous and polite. I was not happy with them. They really needed to follow through with what they suggested and promised.

    Bartlett Tree Experts - 41314
Don't know. Nothing to see. Work for which I was billed involved injecting nutrients into the soil near trees and shrubs, "cultivating the soil" near 3 small trees, and performing "systematic soil treatment" to 2 plants.
Any blame for the breathtaking, outrageous price goes to me, not the vendor. My wife arranged the service, to which I readily agreed. Sounded just fine. I glanced at some estimate notes and stupidly imagined a continuing service over a period of at least a few months rather than a couple of hours of labor
What's the lesson for you from my laziness? Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware. Ask how much in labor hours and materials is involved. If $50 in chemicals and an hour or two of work are all that is involved - get more estimates. I sure wish that I had been conscientious instead of lazy.
I have been dealt a stinging and embarrassing lesson in failing to do my homework and in being a foolish consumer. Maybe you can learn from my foolish mistakes.

    Premier Irrigation & Lighting
My husband and I had a horrible experience with this
company.  We hired them to put in a lawn
irrigation system in our new construction home and we had three major problems.
We had a perfectly graded, newly sodded yard and when they
put in the sprinkler lines they absolutely butchered out yard and never cleaned
up the mess.  Sod was thrown on piles of
    dirt and it looked terrible.
He did not support the meter box and within a few weeks it
sunk causing the pipe to break and water to pour out into our yard.  He attempted to prop up the plastic box around
the meter using cardboard and paper and it made a huge muddy mess.  He refused to admit responsibility.
A month later we noticed that our yard was wet and
smelly.  The sprinkler system was blown
out for the winter season but I called the company to say that there was a
problem and water was again all over our yard.
    We had a plumber come out and he identified the source of the problem;
the main waste line exiting the house had been bisected and a portion of the
irrigation piping was lying underneath it.
According to the plumber there is no way that they could have trenched
this area and not known that they had done damage to the waste line.  The waste pipe was cut in half and the
sprinkler line was placed UNDER the broken pipe and both were covered with dirt.  Regardless of the fact that the company
contract clearly states that if they run through any piping they are not
responsible for any damage, any contractor that does business this way is
unacceptable. The plumbing company charged us $450.00 to fix the pipe and we
asked that the sprinkler company pay for their damage to which they offered
$200.00 only and reiterated their ?no fault? clause.  To date, we still haven?t seen the money they
offered. Please take my advice and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  They are not professionals and they will be
more than happy to walk away with your money and not give you a decent
product.  They did very poor work and
made our move to this new house very stressful.
They will make a mess of your yard and they are expensive.  We will be using another company to check
this system and for all future maintenance.

The works were ver accomodating, planted things where asked, added dirt where it needed to be added, leveled things out, spread mulch which was not part of the contract and left the area cleaner than when they arrived.

    Evergreen Contracting Corporation
Everything ran smoothly and turned out beautifully.  Attention to detail was there and the work was overbuilt in some aspects.  The owner, Roger Sprigg, is very meticulous.   I doubt the framing was 1/8" out of square.  He kept his word and the schedule every step of the way.  He wasn't the lowest bidder I got for the job but wasn't the highest either.  When it comes to construction you get what you pay for.  I'm happy to have it done right the first time with no worries.

Although we did not choose this company for the work. I was very impressed with Kevin's prompt, courteous, and professional manner. I would definitely consider this company for future landscaping work.

    Earthly Obessions
She checks up regularly. She does a great job, is very thorough, and knows what she’s talking about with relation to plants and shrubbery. Her prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend Lisa and will continue using her services in the future.
