Insulation reviews in Suffolk

    Sturdevant Construction
At first Naham appeared very interested in helping us outline our project and we trusted him. He is very personable, but watch out. After the contract was signed, that is the last we ever saw of him. This after he insisted we contact only him if we had any problem with the job. He would not return phone calls or come to the job site to review the work. He completely subcontracted the work out but provided little to no instruction on the scope of work to them. The workmen did not come until way after the completion date in the contract and they had no idea of what was required. They were not even provided a basic plan (such as it was). There was no co-ordination of the door supplier for the correct install and the details in the contract were very poorly outlined. We thought we were in good hands. Had we known Naham operated this way we would have insisted on a much more detailed complete set of drawings and contract. The contract only served to protect him. The job was a disaster and only after the sub contractor understood what had happen did they try their best to complete the work. But without proper complete plans and communication from the start, many mistakes were made. The materials arrived and were not what we had agreed to have installed. They were custom made and not returnable and were the first glimpse into what the project would end up being. For example, these door openings were to occur in particular positions and were installed in the wrong place. This was Naham's responsibility to oversee the job properly executed, but he did none of that. We got so upset with Sturdevant and Naham that we finally just paid them to get rid of them. We were told he had done hundreds of such enclosure but it became clear he had done precious few. We had asked to get a certain pattern of class in the doors (5 over 3) before signing verbally but Naham quickly forgot what was said, and only the contract became his position. I should have written that right on the contract and made him sign it back then. He also uses a WEB based sight but it did not tell us when the crew would come, or the job start, or when they would return. We canceled a number of future larger projects with him and his firm, and would never recommend him or Sturdevant Construction in Newport News to any one now. It was a very frustrating experience on a simple little job...they stole the joy out of it completely. Stay away from this guy he is too slick. He got his money and we have a memory of what not to do. Watch out and read the reviews this in not an isolated case.

    National Exterminating Co Inc
We were very pleased with the results. Its been almost a year and the moister levels in the basement are very good. There was an added bonus that we didn’t realize that we would get, it turns out that our heating bill was a lot lower because the basement vents were sealed which did not allow the cold air to get in.

It was very good. We had them before Angie's List. They were a referral and we didn't rate them because didn't naturally pick them up on Angie's List. We've been in our house for 11 years so when my neighbors recommended them two years ago, we had both units replaced and they've come out since. They've done routine services for me and they are good. It's a big house and we had more efficient units put in. We recommend using them because they are good. They came when they said they are going to come, they did the work and I have no complaint.

    RWA Restoration LLC
The experience that my husband and I had dealing from start to finish with RWA Restoration was a delight. The contractor, Jason Castle, is very personable. His attention to detail is outstanding. His knowledge and ideas were easily shared with us. His attitude on a daily basis was one of get the job done, do it right and make the customer happy. We have had absolutely no problems with his work. His craftmanship shows no boundaries. We would happily use RWA again and highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to do any updates, repairs or total remodel jobs.

    Tidewater Structural Repair
Professional, on time. Insulation price was high and only concern was we agreed on rolled insulation and end product wound up being blown insulation. I THINK we are ok with that, but BLOWN insulation covers the floor joists, so we worry about people falling through the ceiling if any work in attic. Vapor Barrier, NOT to edges, so somewhat concerned and it looks like simply PLASTIC, that is not as thick as I thought it would be. Recommend asking to see a sample of what is being put down, I'd rather pay a little more and having high quality product. Overall, so far we are happy. Recommending Corry to neighbors do do same.

    Tidewater Structural Repair
He was on time and very thorough in checking everything. I told him that we will be likely contacting him in the next few weeks to have this service performed. He was very professional and we were very pleased. I would be happier if the price were lower.

    Mr. Rogers Windows
They were installed on time and fitted perfectly. My window blinds were re-positioned and any marks on the wall were cleaned. The operation of the windows was demonstrated but as I am elderly I immediately forgot these instructions. However II have not had reason to open them. One thing I do not like is the insect screen covering the entire window. It obstructs my view especially when it rains.

    Tidewater Structural Repair
It was excellent. He arrived on time, competed the work efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. He underestimated the amount of rolls of insulation that he would need so he had to go and get some more. I expected him to increase my estimate as a result of this, but he didn't. We were very pleased with his work.
