Drywall Repair reviews in Suffolk

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Dean and his team did a fantastic job. They are truly the best of the best - meticulous, extremely hard-working, professional, and easy to work with. We have textured walls in most of our home (knockdown) and the drywall/plastering repairs were so well done that you would never know that repairs took place. It was obvious to us that this contractor takes pride in the quality of their work (unlike the original home builder). If you want the job done right, this is the contractor for you. We would hire Grant Drywall & Plastering again in a heartbeat.

  • Great communication. Very professional. Reasonable quote. Cleaned up every day. The new spaces are beautiful. We could not be happier. Highly recommend. Will definitely be hiring Paula and Dave again!

  • My wife and I are very, very pleased with Tidewater Pro Build’s remodel of our master bathroom, and we are not the easiest customers to please. We had discussed a remodeling project for several years but it became a necessity when our master bathroom shower developed a leak that started to stain and drip through the ceiling of the room below it. After two different plumbers could not find the source of the leak, we knew something drastic had to happen, and that is where Tidewater Pro Build comes in. I called and left messages with several contractors and posted inquiries on several contractor websites. A few of them ignored my requests. One contractor said that most of his men lived in Virginia Beach and would not want to drive as far as Suffolk for a job. Tidewater Pro Build responded to my website inquiry in the middle of a Sunday morning. Frank, the Sales Manager said that when he saw that we were having a leak through the ceiling, he knew the job was urgent and wanted to make contact as soon as possible. Frank met with us later that day and just a day or two later, Tidewater Pro Build was at our house to troubleshoot. They had to take down the drywall around the shower to find the leak, but once it was isolated and the living room ceiling dried out, they did a beautiful job in repairing and painting the ceiling. We did a total makeover of the bathroom. Frank made some design recommendations during the initial walk-through planning. We met with Trey and Brian to develop our design and lay out our plans. Along the way, Trey made several very helpful suggestions that kept our supply costs under better control. He recommended strongly that we stick with one line of plumbing fixtures to ensure that the finishes matched throughout the room. Trey offered a very creative solution to our problem of where in the bathroom to relocate the linen cabinet. The demolition phase went very quickly. The rebuilding phase proceeded much more slowly, as they predicted it would. Quality work takes time. We needed the job completed by a wedding-date deadline, before out-of-town family started to arrive. And even though, about a week before the deadline, it looked like the project would not be finished, we had a fully functional master bathroom in time for the wedding. It was not a rushed patch-job to get the project finished; the last phases of the job were done as carefully and with as much craftsmanship as the earliest. There were a few touch-up items that needed to be addressed after the wedding and those were done on schedule. When we found a few more add-on punch list items we wanted fixed, Tidewater Pro Build did not hesitate to come to our house and correct them promptly. Sales Manager Frank even came out to inspect the project when it was completed to ensure our satisfaction. This is the kind of customer service anyone would want from their home contractor. We now have a beautiful, designer-quality, custom master bathroom that is one of the prettiest rooms in the house and one of the nicest you will ever see. I will forward photographs to Tidewater Pro Build to post on their Facebook page when we have all the furnishings and décor in place. There are a few already. My wife and I would not hesitate to use Tidewater Pro Build for our future remodeling projects. Thank you Trey, Caleb, Brian, Frank, and Kevin!

  • I couldn't be more pleased with Adams Remodel & Repair. The house looks brand new again after power washing the driveway and walkway, and replacement of the old outdoor lights; the floor squeak is finally gone; the side fence is no longer listing to one side; the doors beneath the jetted tub look wonderful and the cats can't  open them any more to crawl under the tub; and -best of all - the old DirectTV dish/pole (which has been inactive and an eyesore for 16 years) is finally gone! There's nothing I've asked Matt Adams to do that he can't handle. He always cleans up the work site. Today Matt is next door power washing my neighbors house because he liked the job Matt did on my house. If I need anymore work done on thls house, Matt Adams is the person I'll call.

  • This work could not have gone any better. Kenny and his daughter arrived 15 minutes early and after discussing the work I needed completed, they got right to work. From previous experiences with other contractors I was expecting to find something to complain about. However, my surprise my surprise, I was very pleased. Upon completion of work, they checked to make sure everything was cleaned up. I believe I have found a go to handyman for future maintenance. In fact, I am considering hiring Kenny to sand and paint my front porch if we can come to an agreement on the cost.

  • My daughter purchased a house built in 1963.  The ceilings needed some professional help with filling in cracks prior to painting them.  Kevin did a great job repairing the plaster ceilings.  You cannot see where the cracks were and after painting them, the ceilings look terrific.  Kevin was very pleasant and professional, was prompt in getting started to work and worked very hard the entire time he was there.  We would definitely use Master Painters again.

  • We had a ceiling drywall tape came loose.  Tony came and repaired it.  He did a great job fixing and painted it.  So, I asked him to do some spot paint in my kitchen and the crown molding in the dinning area.  He did a very good job and fast too.

  • Ok, I quoted this project to one other contractor and I was felt more comfortable with Mr. Belletto, just had a better gut feeling. I am not always impressed with the cheapest but it just so happened that his pricing was neither low or high. On the initial visit, I wasn't positively sure how I wanted to change my bathroom, but I had some ideas. Dan was very good at explaining pros and cons for any option I discussed. He recommended the transom window for my shower...this was discussed a lot...we were not sold on it but he was sure it would be the best option. We are very happy with the outcome of this window. Dan delivered the quote faster than he said he would. I took a few weeks to get back to him and when I called to ask about signing a contract, the follow up visit was far so good. We were told the project may start in about 30 days (approximate) and he gave me a shopping list ( we will be purchasing all of the designer options- tile, grout, vanity, fixtures, etc.) Be warned!!! This is a tough task. It's hard to visualize it if you are not a professional. Dan provided recommendations for contacts at various suppliers. We ended up exploring some others too and used some of his recommendations and some of our own. The project was delayed a few more weeks then originally stated, but it was not a big issue for us, we were fine with the delay. We tried to have all of the supplies in our garage prior to their start. For loads that will cost you a delivery fee, Belletto offers to pick it up from the store for no extra cost. I was stunned by that offer...and relieved. I was praised for having all of the items purchased and ready for install. Be prepared, you might need to still shop for stuff, or get extra of something...this is just part of the process. Our house is not that old, so there were not any expensive surprises like you see on TV shows. I was so worried about that. These guys are good at keeping it mellow. The crew was made up of Kenny and Clarence. The guys were nice and helpful. They gave you their opinion if you ask, but be sure you talk it out and let them know...they are not mind readers. Be prepared for possible time off or necessary absences. It happens, just like any job. It did happen and if we were concerned, we talked to the owner. He responded with some extra help to keep the job moving. I completely trusted the guys in my house and they spent a lot of time with my dog. They even took her out to go to the bathroom and would check on her if they has not seen her in a while. The guys would make changes if we changed our minds (nothing crazy, maybe move an outlet after the drywall was installed- I felt bad making the request, but they reminded me it was part of the process and not a big deal. If it was big deal, they hid it well. Please offer your coffee machine to these guys, they like to drink coffee and they don't really take lunches...I wish I had realized that sooner, I might have given them some snacks and offered up the coffee pot sooner. I love all of my new features in my house! We did feel like this took a long time when we were in the middle of it, but looking back it was...well we were so happy to have our house back, we forgot the pain. Every bit of it was worth it. We love love love all of it! At the end their was a bill for the add-ons, we were fine with the cost and had a piece of mind that we didn't have to do the last minute items ourselves....some drywall skim coat after I removed the wallpaper in my kitchen, we updated lighting in the spare bathroom and added some new faucets in the bathrooms....they did it and were happy to make that change for me at a moment's notice.

  • I have an 12x18 studio that I needed finished. I had attempted the job myself, but never seemed to have enough time to get it done, and putting up drywall by yourself is no fun. Anthony came by and gave me a good price and did an excellent job. He even showed up the night before he was sechuduled to drop off the drywall because it was supposed to rain the next day. It was done very quickly and the walls have a nice smooth finish. It is now ready for primer and paint. If you need drywall done, Anthony is your man.
