Very well! Jimmy started at the agreed time/place, the work was completed on time and within quoted price. The quality of the work was tops, all joints, miters and cuts were all tight and correctly done. All work was indicative of a master carpenter.

My curtains are hanging beautifully now.  I wish I had known of Kenny Whitehurst a long time ago.  Thanks to Angie's List, I will know who to call next time I need work done in my residence.  Kenny was very professional and pleasant to do business with which is so hard for we widows to find these days.

    Apprentice To The Master
My front door was fully exposed to the elements (no porch) causing extensive damage to the wood trim and frame over the years.
I submitted a request to my homeowners association to build a small 5'x8' porch over the front door. The homeowners association approved the request, requring the work to be done in 90 days.  I used Angieslist to seek out contractors.  I contacted three contractors; two replied.  Only Apprentice to Master came out to the house providing a parts and labor estimate, which I accepted.
The work was scheduled to begin in late September.  However, rain delays plagued progress.  After removing the rotten wood around the door, work was delayed due to scheduling conflicts.  The exposed door frame was covered in plastic to prevent new water damage from more rain.  After that, there were several start and stops on the project as the contractor worked on other jobs that were backed up from  two weeks of rain we had in late September.    The contractor recommended the new porch and door frame material be PVC to avoid future water damage.  --- Great recommendation, no painting ever :)   The work was completed 3 weeks before the date required by the homeowners association.
The porch and repairs exceeded my expectations.   The price is more than fair.  The quality of work was Ausgezeichnet!  The porch is exactly what we wanted, just in time for Halloween!
Having worked construction in the past I was appreciative of the attention to detail given to the complexity of this "small" porch.

    General Repairs LLC
He is very versatile with his work and has been extremely helpful to me over the years. He is an extreme perfectionist, very honest and we have actually ended up giving him more money than he charges us on a few occasions for going above and beyond.

    Handyman Connection
Originally the handyman was also going to install Kayak hoists, but the price requested was much more than I was willing to spend. The gutter was repaired just fine, but I was disappointed that, after replacing the wood in the front window, only the bare minimum of painting was done which made the replaced section VERY obvious.

    Ace Home Improvements
I am satisfied with the work performed.  Their was a minor communication snafu on both parties, myself and company however the owner Steve and foreman Eric worked with me until the job was complete and to my satisfaction!  I really appreciate the time

they took to explain the job to me.

    Done Right Handyman Svc
Replaced a board that had separated from the under the floor sill leading to the deck, I thought I would have to replace the board, but Kenney was able to trim it down so that it would fit and secured it with decking screws, as opposed to nails which had been used.
Kenney next  secured a sheet of trimmed plywood over the alcove over the fireplace where a CRT TV had been in preparation for hanging a 50 inch flat screen.  I thought that I would have to have the area framed out at an additional cost, but Kenney solved the problem and saved me some dough.

    GOD'S GREEN EARTH
It took approximately three days to build the roof and arbor. The concrete is last. A little difficult getting the concrete company out to the house due to previous engagements, mechanical failure etc. However Mr. Davis stayed on top of the project and overall, everything turned out beautiful! Mr. Davis is professional, personable, knowledgeable and honest. I would and have hired his company for additional jobs.

    Wells Contracting & Remodeling
The entire Wells crew were very professional, cleaned up and were always on time. This was not an easy job, and it required him to come up with innovative solutions to our unique house. He was honest about pricing and would never cover up work without ensuring everything was fixed. We have hired him again to do work on the new house we are building.
