    Bay Crawlspace & Foundation Repair
I delt with Blake and he did a great job determining what I needed done to fix my problem. I had talked with 3 companies and Blake worked with me and came up with a much better price to get the job done. When the work was being done, Jacob, and his crew came and were very polite, and kept us advised of the progress of what they were doing. They always told what had been completed and what they still had to do. I was very impressed with this group of young men. They also wanted us to know how well they were treated by their company. Call Bay to do your job.

    Crawl Masters
They worked quickly and explained what they were doing through out the process. They were very respectful and really nice to deal with. The price was fantastic compared with other quotes I had been given. I would definitely use them again if I have an issue with my foundation.

Terrible! Salesman knew exactly what to say to sell the service however, nothing that he said was done. He had an answer for everything but then couldn't deliver on what he was telling us. He told us what we wanted to hear. It was nothing but problems from day 1 which only got worse throughout the project. The project manager had to send the contract 3 times because he couldn't get it right. There was no communication between the development and the workman because they didn't know what the plans were. The work was shotty and they didn't really care about fixing the issues until we started asking to speak to the owner. They were perfectly content with leaving things done the wrong way. The workman didn't show up each day until 1030a and then they would leave at 4p, then they tried to rush the job at the end and just about everything they had done was wrong. There was suppose to be a foreman onsite everyday and there wasn't. The dehumidifier was installed wrong and in the wrong place, the two sump pumps were installed wrong, they were only going to dig 1 drainage ditch when really, for the size of house and number of down spouts, it required 3, they didn't spray for mold like they said until it was brought to their attention and the moisture barrier was already laid so they had to cover it, the GFI outlet was installed in the wrong place, the crawl space vents were broke and then they just slapped some backer board over them with expanding foam coming through the outside of the vent (which looked terrible and they found nothing wrong with this!) And to top it all off, after multiple complaints on each day, the project manager stated to us that we were too involved in the project!!! Talk about a huge slap in the face especially when we were paying them A LOT of money! The owner did eventually contact us and said it would be rectified but little acknowledgment for the stress that we've had to deal with.

    Crawl Masters
We contacted them and was very happy with the customer service on the phone.
Mark called before the appointment to let us know he was on his way, he arrived on time which we appreciated.

He asked us to show him the cracks and then he explained how he was going to do the inspection. He took his time and crawled all around under our house doing a full inspection.

He explained what was causing the buckling and cracks, putting our mind at ease.

Very honest and professional, happy we called them and will call again for any future work.

    The Crawlspace Company
I was getting a lot of water in my crawlspace after any rain or snow. Unfortunately my yard has very poor drainage and any storm water seems to all end up under the house after a rain. I called The Crawlspace Company to give me an estimate on installing drain tile and a sump pump to remedy the issue.
Because of my work schedule I am not home until after 5PM which can make it difficult to meet people with appointments, but The Crawlspace Company was very accommodating. A gentleman came out, crawled under the house, took some measurements, and told me he would email me an estimate for the work the next day. I received the estimate promptly the next day. I agreed to the terms and work began a couple weeks later.
The guys from The Crawlspace Company arrived on time and were professional and polite. They explained what they were going to do and how they were going to go about performing the work. They immediately began digging along the back of the house and had the french drain installed and nearly completed in just a few hours.
The total work took much longer than initially stated in the estimate, but it is completely understandable. For one, this was in February when temperatures plummeted to the teens and we had three snowfalls. Digging on a nice day is tough work. Digging when the ground is frozen is nearly impossible. Not only was the weather bad, but the conditions in my crawlspace were even worse.
The amount of water intrusion under the house coupled with the terrible work a previous company had performed made The Crawlspace Company's job much worse than anticipated. Originally we had thought one sump pump would suffice, but after the work began it was decided that an additional sump pump would be needed. The owner, Brad, kept me well informed on what was going on.
All in all, I would say The Crawlspace Company did a great job on my crawlspace. The job took longer than expected and ended up costing a bit more than the original estimate, but this was expected due to the adverse weather conditions and overall poor state of the crawlspace. I would definitely recommend The Crawlspace Company and will be using them again in the future for encapsulating the crawlspace.

    JES Foundation Repair

In early March, I noticed the plastic sheathing in my crawlspace had started to deteriorate and causing some dampness to the ground.  I contacted JES for an estimate for replacement.  Within several days Mr Bryan McRae contacted me for an inspection and estimate.

He arrived on the scheduled date and time and we discussed estimations for 3 options: 1) replacement of existing sheathing, 2) encapsulation and sealing of the crawlspace, and 3) encapsulation and installation of the "Cleanspace" system which included the addition of a dehumidifier and several sump pumps.  He then conducted the inspection and took numerous pictures of the existing condition.  He also took humidity measurements.  The pictures were revealing in that there was some initial start of  undermining of an area of the foundation and at one of the foundation piers.  I decided to go for #3, the complete encapsulation and Cleanspace.  He also stated that as part of the work, the undermining would be backfilled with tile fill.

I received a call within a few days with a work schedule date within 2 weeks.  I informed the JES receptionist that the initial date was going to conflict with a previous commitment and that I would prefer a later date.  I received a call within a week with a new date that was satisfactory with me.

The crew arrived on the date and within 5 minutes of the indicated time.  The crew foreman discussed the procedure the crew would use for the repair and was polite enough to request a suitable area for them to have the material (gravel, crushed tile and material) delivered.

The foreman stated that the work would take 3 working days but in actual fact they were able to complete it in 2 when an additional crew was brought in.  He also kept me completely informed as to the progress of the work and kept the work area around the house and trucks clean and neat.  The schedule of contractors such as the material delivery and electrical contractors (to wire in the dehumidifier and sump pumps) appeared to be well coordinated.

When the job was completed, the foreman and I went under the house and he described all the work that was performed and took the time with me to discuss the workings of the mechanicals.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of all the JES personnel from the estimator (Mr McRae) to the foreman, crew and phone receptionist.  They were respectful of my property and performed the work as described.  The foreman also repaired a hole in my foundation that was put in by a plumber to run piping and never filled in.

With the experience I had with this company and the work that they performed, I would highly recommend them for crawlspce work to anybody and would use them again if needed.

    Bedrock Foundation Systems Inc
Very professional.    Followed up and is available for questions.     Seems high priced based on other estimates, though maybe the quality of work justifies the cost.  (I still think the estimate was too high.)    Intended to put up the monitoring devices, but never did.    ** MAIN issue I had and was not addressed was they never went into the crawl space to determine why water was going in the garage and how to fix it.   We DID talk about the water at the outside of the house and moving it,  THOUGH based on another estimate found some of the dirt was being washed away near the foundation under the house and a potential fix to that also.
--- Bottom line,  Jason was very professional and except for the cost for me seemed excessive for the work proposed, and the fact that we never addressed the crawl space and a solution for that area, which was my MAIN concern, I would have hired them right away.   I would recommend hiring them if his prices seemed reasonable to the work being performed and I would recommend not even advertising the monitoring devices as they seemed to be 6 inch plastic water catchers.  (I'm sending this same note to Jason out of courtesy.)

These people didnt even bother to show up at the appointment we had set and confirmed.  Then I got a "please rate your experience" questionaire in an email from them.  I just laughed. Then, when a representative called me a couple of days later, she took an accusatory tone towards me in a voicemail she left regarding their screwup.  I informed them that I had to make a descion that weekend on who to use as I do not live in the same area as the property, and would only be able to meet on a certain day, and they were happy to accomodate....and they were also happy to lose 20k in business.

I called Mr. Burns for a second opinion regarding a foundation problem (or so I was told). After a thorough inspection under my house, it was determined that I had a sub flooring issue, not a foundation problem, that could be remedied for considerably less money (we are talking thousands of dollars). Since he did not perform this type of work, I wanted to compensate him for his valuable time and advice, but he declined my offer. Not only did Mr. Burns save me a lot of unnecessary expense but he has reminded me that there are reputable and trust worthy people out there working hard to earn a living and not trying to rip you off. I have read the other reviews and found that my experience with Mr. Burns is not isolated. This man is the real deal. Hopefully, I won't need his services in the future but if I do, I'll be sure to call him and I hope you will too.

We called Bedrock Foundation after being told by another contractor that our foundation had shifted due to house settling.  We spoke with Jason on Saturday and Sunday and we set up an appointment for Monday morning.  He was on time and very informative.  Jason carefully inspected the interior and exterior, including taking measurements underneath the house in the crawl space.  The result was that he determined our house had not settled and the foundation had not shifted.  He addressed our specific concerns (what we were told and thought were indications of settling) and provided viable reasons for the discrepancies we cited.  He recommended that we have a reliable sheet rock installer redo taping the walls that are showing small cracks at the seams on the interior and for future prevention measures, he recommended that we have extensions or a French drain system installed for our gutter downspouts to keep water as far from the footings as possible.   He was very knowledgeable, good at explaining, and demonstrated outstanding customer service.  Jason even gave us reliable contacts to carry out his recommendations!  If we ever end up with any type of foundation problems, we will call Bedrock first and we recommend that to anyone else that is facing the possibility.
