My son is headed into his senior year and is a starting player on his high school football team. Dr. Bob understood our concerns about seeing a doctor and has helped my son with his arm, shoulder, and back issues WITHOUT having him pulled from the field! It has been amazing! THANK YOU!

    Williamsburg Neck and Back Center
Dr. Roth is very nice. There is one friendly receptionist that I have seen once, but the receptionist who is usually there during my visits is very cold. However, she is not an important part of my visit, and Dr. Roth and the rest of his staff make up for the chill I receive when I enter the waiting area so this does not keep me from returning.

Life Changing!! Dr. Shaye and his staff are amazing. He really takes the time to go through your concerns and plans out a plan to get you well. He recommended having massage therapy before my spinal manipulation to loosen the muscles and ensure the treatments last longer. After a week I could feel the difference and I can see myself feeling so much better and I am on the road to maintaining a healthier life. Hour long massages are $85.00 Spinal Manipulations are $50 and therapeutic exercises $30. They had me on the road to recovery within 6 weeks amazing!!

Ultimately, the problem for which I was being treated, was,a,spinal infection, not a chiropractic issue.

First, you schedule an exam. Now let me relay that this is a family business. His mom, aunt and wife work the phones, pay system, everything, and they are simply AMAZING! Things happen to all of us. I have had to call 5 minutes before an appointment and reschedule. There was also once (or twice in the past 10 years) where I have honestly just shown up without scheduling an appointment, fully knowing that I’d be waiting around for a long while to be squeezed in. This family (office “staff”) is the most caring, wonderful family I have come to know. You can hear the smile in their voice when they answer the phones to schedule you! In an exam, Dr. Jeff asks you questions about your total health. At first I found them to be a little invasive, but by opening up you are allowing him to care for you-plus I have found that he does genuinely care for you. He remembered things last week that I had told him years ago. Dr. Jeff cares. Then he asks you to don a hospital gown so he can check your back, and performs several tests. When he first asked this of me, he was super polite in leaving the room, closing the door, it was so comforting. One test he performs is a temperature scan, and another checks for muscle spasms. These both tell him where the “trouble areas” are so he can better adjust his care for your body. These are little things you’re probably not aware of in your everyday movement. After discussing the findings, he leaves again for you to change. Then you discuss a course of care. He suggests going several times a week for x long, then slowly weaning off of the weekly visits. He allows you as his patient to be completely involved in your care decisions. I find this attitude with patients extremely refreshing. If you choose manual adjustments, you stay right in that office and he’ll guide you through it. As a professional, his touch is gentle yet firm. He feels each vertebrae to see where they need adjusting, then goes about adjusting them. He is also one of the first in the area to have a “pro-adjuster” option available to their clients. This is a machine that sends pulses through muscle and measures the response time back to the unit. These show as lines on a chart, and you as (an uneducated) patient can obviously see that something doesn’t “line up”. This machine then adjusts the specific vertebrae by gently tapping at a quick pace. This method does not cause the traditional “pop” you might be used to hearing, and I am not afraid to say that I was completely skeptical when I first started on it. But it has worked wonders for me. After that initial visit, you just choose between manual adjustments and the pro-adjuster. Possibly you go for another exam to chart progress, but in my case, the fact I was no longer in pain was proof positive for me that I was progressing. For this current course of treatment, I was adjusted 3 times the first week, then twice a week, and I’m back to once a week. By the fifth adjustment (and diligent stretching), I was pain free. There are still adjustments to be made as chiropractic is by no means a “quick fix”-but with regular care, my back will be back to its old self in a few months, I am sure. Today I’m feeling a little bit going on, but I have an appointment tomorrow and will make it through. If you are looking for chiropractic care in the Fredericksburg region, please give Dr. Jeffrey Bowers of Bowers Family Chiropractic a call/chance. You will be glad you did.

I see the provider anywhere from once a month to once a week depending on my needs. The provider helps my lower back pain and is helping me avoid surgery. He is very friendly and professional and has a great bedside manner.

    Bryngelson, Dr. Mark E.
He has been wonderful according to my wife. He is top shelf and that is not because of his price but because of his quality. The quality products are normally on the top shelf even in grocery stores or anywhere else. Those would be the ones that they put up for display. He is very personable. He takes the time not only to get to know the patient but also to understand and provide that level of personal treatment. My wife doesn't have a problem getting appointments. He even has a policy for taking walk-ins. His office, because of the area we are in, is near a Marine Corp Base Quantico. One of the marine troops had injured himself during one of the exercises so another one of his buddies, also in the Marine Corp, had brought him by because they had referred him there to get chiropractic type care. He had injured his back or done something. He was sitting there. I just know that and as far as what I witnessed because I was waiting for my wife, the staff was not only attentive but they got him lying in because the troops also needed to get back to the base for their duties. They also made a point to talk to the other people that may have been waiting to make sure they understood why this patient was being put ahead. It was very open and very caring not only for the person that had come in injured with an emergency problem but considerate also to the other people that had been waiting. For what the doctor is doing, all of his patients are extremely comfortable not only in the waiting area but also at the various stations that they have been seen for different treatments. I have never heard my wife complain about that. I have been there and seen the place. It's not what you would call extremely large. They have taken the space that they have and made it very efficiently and also at the same time accommodated personnel that are either waiting or are having treatment. I didn't really see any problems. He has got it set up to where he can provide care. The only limitation I think he has is the amount of available physical space that he has to work with. He has maximized the efficiency to the point where and with the way they do the scheduling of patients coming in, they never have 50 people showing up at the same time. I don't think my wife has ever had any issue from a standpoint of being able to get in on time when it's a scheduled appointment. As far as efficiency, the way they have it set up is that the initial sessions are where they have the personal time and have talked to the patient on the initial consult. As the patients are now coming back for treatment, the way they have it set up is that the patients understand and have been provided instructions as far as certain normal type of exercises and stretches that they need to do prior to the doctor actually doing the chiropractic manipulations. There is not a lot of wasted time that you have when you go there. The staff is one of the best we have seen and we have traveled and lived in quite a few cities. They are just wonderful, caring, and nice staff. It's a personable type staff. It's not a very large staff. It's a personal type staff. He actually is genuinely concerned about you asking you how you are doing from a standpoint to talking not only about your physical ailments but also opening it up to talking about how your day has been going and things like that as he is also preparing to perform treatment. It's a very open conversation and he is very caring about you as his patient. I have someone that had been walking around with some physical discomfort due to misalignment and they are fine. It's a wonderful thing to see your wife not in pain from some type of misalignment of the spine and needing chiropractic care, so his treatment is pretty effective. There are no issues with billing and administration.

    Manning, Jr. Dr. Jerry R.
Dr. Manning was at the front desk when we arrived for my daughter's appointment and he instantly developed a rapport with her. Once in the exam room she was extremely nervous and had lots of questions which he painstakingly answered. Dr. Manning used patience and humor to get her through her visit. He only did a few adjustments on the worst areas so as not to overwhelm her and we have another appointment in a few days. Since the visit she has decided that what Dr. Manning did has helped and she is ready to allow him to do a complete adjustment. Dr. Manning called our home the day after our visit to speak with my daughter and make sure she was feeling better. I am very pleased with our initial visit and the service provided.
