  • They are good. I call in for my prescription, and they have it ready. I just go and pick it up. I usually don't have to talk with the pharmacist because I don't have any new prescriptions and need to help my husband as these are ongoing. My doctor has already told me why I need this prescription. I'm just using them to fill the prescription. I chose to use them, and I looked around at the cost. I was using another pharmacy; but it was far away. They seemed to have the best price, and they were convenient; so that's why we use them. The price is very competitive.

  • They are slow, slow, slow in filling prescriptions - often with more than an hour wait. They have occasionally not had what was prescribed (not that unusual a prescription; I think they just have low inventory). The final straw was the time they gave me the wrong strength of a prescription - not a terrible problem in my case, but what if it had been diabetes or blood pressure meds? They seemed more interested in not having me report them to anyone than fixing the error, and when they tried to charge me for the corrected prescription (I already paid for the first erroneous one I couldn't use), I took my business elsewhere. I know prescription errors are rampant - people make mistakes - but it seems they didn't have the systems in place to catch it, nor did they seem surprised that it happened.

  • Wegman's Pharmacy in Dulles, VA - now that I've given them all C's, I'm wondering why I still go there. They're convenient to work, and have a drive-thru pick up window, I suppose. They take forever to fill a prescription - always a long wait (maybe to get you to buy stuff in their store?). I had a scare with an error from a phoned-in prescription -given that the pharmacy staff speaks accented English, I have my doctor fax them prescriptions - I wouldn't call anything in over the phone. My doc called in a prescription for Lipitor, which they filled with Glucotrol. (Had I not noticed, I might have been dead - I have low blood sugar anyway). They were completely unapologetic - they explained how they check phoned in prescriptions with two different people - so much so that I called my doctor's office to check that they'd called in the right thing. The error was clearly Wegman's. But the grocery store part is terrific, and since I'm there anyway, I still use the pharmacy.

  • I would give them A's across the board.

  • It is a grocery store with the pharmacy inside.  They are convenient because of the location.  They are very near our house.
