    TYL Remodeling Inc.
We have been extremely pleased from the first moment we contacted TYL. We were treated as valued customers and not as an inconvenience. TYL was extremely patient with us as we ended up changing the scope of the job a couple of times. All of the folks that communicated with us reiterated how grateful they were for us giving them the business. Throughout the entire process, there was consistent communication as to what to expect and when. It's such a pleasure to have a business with integrity that does what it says and says what it does. We're extremely pleased with the end product which is even more beautiful than we had imagined. We are recommending TYL to our friends who are considering remodeling within their homes and we will not hesitate to contact TYL for any future remodeling needs we may have.

    Dulles Kitchen and Bath
The team from Dulles Kitchen and Bath were responsive and professional. They made sure they completed the project on time and to my satisfaction. They worked hard to ensure that the job was completed in a manner that satisfied and in many cases, exceeded what I was expecting. Overall I'm very happy with the work they did and would recommend them to anyone looking to remodel a kitchen or bath.

    My Kitchen & Bath
My Kitchens & Bath was my 3rd estimate. I was 95% sure I was going with the 2nd estimate guy since hes the contractor my friends real estate company uses so I had a first-hand referral. #2 was very nice and Im sure he would have done great. But I told myself Im getting THREE estimates this time around so I called MK&B and got an appointment for final estimate. I was torn between redoing the kitchen or a bathroom so I got 2 estimates. John from MK&B came out and was very nice and he took a lot more measurements so more thorough. I had already emailed #2 guy some questions after receiving his estimate (including when can you start) but he was too slow to get back with me and John beat him to the punch because the following day I had both estimates and he had answered some questions I emailed. Johns estimates was more professional with line by line items and prices. Overall had a much more professional vibe. I went to their showroom (very convenient near my office in Herndon) and picked out the cabinets, tiles, countertop, knobs etc. John would set me straight if Im picking out something that didnt quite go together. The workers did a great job, demod it all in one day and MUCH less messy than a previous reno I had done. Any questions I had were always answered promptly. I hadnt planned on replacing the appliances but had a bit of luck in vegas so I got a new stove and microwave and there was no additional charge to install the new ones vs re-installing my old ones. I even added on a side job of replacing the ceiling lights in my foyer and hallway. Got his price to install, stopped at Home Depot on my lunch hour to buy them and dropped them by and that evening when I got home all 3 were replaced so I never have to see those generic gold uglies that came with the place. Took 9 days overall. SO worth it!! Im absolutely in love with my kitchen!! Next year Im doing the other bathroom reno and MK&B are at the top of my list.

    Remodel USA
We recently remodeled our master bathroom and after extensive research we selected Remodel USA. We initially met with Martin Rabone who spent several hours showing us the various options available and assisting us in making preliminary selections. We were directed to various distributors who work with Remodel USA to make tile, granite and fixture selections. We found all of them to be extremely helpful. All parts of the project were carefully worked through with no work beginning until all the materials were available. We were told the project would take 2 weeks from start to finish and were pleasantly pleased that they finished a day early. Our production manager, Percy Melendez, assisted in final choices of materials prior to ordering and insured that we had the correct items and was meticulous in overseeing the two workers, appearing frequently and phoning often to be sure we were happy with everything. Two people were assigned to do the entire instillation except for the frame less shower glass. This meant that there was no waiting for various people who might be delayed by other jobs and the two knew how to do the tile work, electrical work, and plumbing. Both workers were extremely attentive to making sure that our carpets and furnishings were protected and provided advice about placement of grab bars and the showers. They approached us to make final placement decisions before instillation and did everything possible to make certain we would have the master bathroom we envisioned. The frame less shower surround was also expertly installed. All workers cleaned up the area daily and left no construction or other trash behind. Overall, we were exceptionally pleased with our entire experience and highly recommend Remodel USA. We will definitely consider them for future home projects as they do additions, windows, and other things.

    Virginia Kitchen & Bath
We hired Virginia Kitchen and Bath to completely remodel our Master Bathroom. From the initial planning stage with Burak to the final finishing touches, we were very happy. Selection was done in their Leesburg showroom, which was very convenient for us. They were willing to obtain the fixtures we wanted that were not displayed in their showroom. Our project manager Sertac and his crew were fantastic. He responded to questions or issues within hours of contacting him. Alejandro, our lead carpenter and his crew showed up on time every morning, and worked through until early evening. We knew what they would be working on each day and when they would arrive. They left their work area neat and cleaned up what they could at the end of the day. The entire process was a great experience. We would definitely hire them again.

    ServicePro Express Inc
ServicePro took my old kitchen down to the studs, changing the floor layout from a peninsula to an island, removing a closet and much more. I had obtained several estimates before choosing and ServicePro offered more services for less money. Chris Langley, Joe Halverson and their team were excellent to work with. They took great effort to minimize the dust throughout of the house and the finished product is fantastic. I ended up having them replace my foyer floor while they were here which was not part of the original plan. I had to travel a lot during the renovations and had no problem in trusting them with my home. The team went above and beyond, was very professional, courteous and just plan fun to work with. I will definitely hire them for future work.

    Mac Design & Build
Complete failure. Entire project needs to be re-done and MAC Design Build and Derek Leiter are now hiding behind a lawyer.. MAC refuses to honor their contract or stand by their work (such as it is). This has been a terrible, nightmare experience for us. If Derek Leiter is talking to you, turn away. He'll promise you anything and send over "subcontractor" picked up from the front of a 7-11 to do your work. I could write pages on how awful our experience was. Do not work with this company. Completion date is irrelevant since nothing has been completed to any level of competence. Email me for details tkreber@me.com.

    Virginia Kitchen & Bath
Summary: Virginia Kitchen and Bath was not the lowest price option based on estimates we received, but they did offer us the best value for the price. In the end, they completed the work well and rather quickly, including returning to address small issues once we lived with the new changes for a few days. We are happy with the results and are way too excited to use our new bathroom tomorrow! Detail: We had a leak inside our home that affected the master bathroom as well as the room below, which happened to be the kitchen. This means we had some coverage of costs from our home insurance provider. VKB was one of several companies we had out to look at the job and provide an estimate. They made the cut (down to 3 options) based on the written estimate we received and our initial impressions - responsiveness, attention to detail and demeanor of the representative - and that led us to a showroom visit. We'd opted to get estimates for additional work in the same rooms that was not covered by our insurance as well as some other rooms to potentially complete projects we were working toward, anyway. This landed the VKB project to a remodel of our master bath and repainting & reflooring of the kitchen. We worked with Burak for the initial estimate, design and contract signing. He had a great personal recall of what our home looked like when we visited the showroom. We never felt rushed to make choices, even when other customers came in behind us. Burak was very attentive to our preferences and was not afraid to make recommendations. VKB has some standard payment schedule information that is provided up front as well as a templated estimate process that they use. It should be noted that VKB does not provide paint, but did send us to a provider where we could have a discount. The payment schedule was nice to have for planning purposes. The templated estimate made it virtually impossible for VKB to meet the documentation requirements for the insurance company. This meant that justification for increasing the low-ball reimbursement we received from the adjustor could not be sufficiently provided and we're unlikely to recoup the additional costs for the covered work. On the plus side, their approach is to offer a full package that trumps whatever you had previously. I feel like this is what we got with the master bath! The team that came to our home was efficient and friendly. The work was led by Alejandro and our project manager was Sertac. They completed all (let's say 95%) of the work in about 9-10 days, including a Saturday, which was impressive. (So many companies will not do projects on Saturday!) We did wait an additional week or so for the shower door to be created/installed and then we asked them to return for a small punch list of corrections. We expected the shower door delay because we were told that up front. No surprise there! During execution, we had some minor scheduling issues that generally amount to miscommunication or lack thereof. The largest consequence was that we lost access to the kitchen earlier than we'd expected based on the plan laid out early on, causing us to purchase more restaurant meals than we'd planned for previously (and lost opportunity to use some groceries). We had a close call when all of our kitchen contents had been set outside for a couple of days and rain came up in the forecast. Alejandro and the team hustled to keep the work on track and spare ruining the displaced items in the process. Sertac was always attentive to our concerns and had a good attention to detail. He helped ensure some other parallel work we had going could be accommodated. Normally, we wouldn't have had multiple companies at the same time, but there was a scheduling hiccup that couldn't be avoided. This did not hamper VKB one bit. We will definitely consider VKB for future projects, possibly not bothering to go through the estimate process all over again!
