    The crew arrived on time and worked carefully but quickly to load the contents of my townhouse. I was moving two pianos as well and they were very professional in the way they handled my instruments. The company provided wardrobes for clothes and even loaded them for me! Once we got to the new house, they were very efficient at getting everything into the house right where I wanted it. They even paused to put felt pads on the bottom of the furniture (I provided the pads) since all the floors are hardwood. I feel the price was fair and the crew was exceptional and very friendly.

    A few days later Haridi called to say it was finished. The finished product is great!! It is stripped and sanded, ready for me to finish the job. The quality of the work was very professional, given the amount of paint that had to be stripped and the age of the toolbox. Haridi also gave me great suggestions on making my DIY project higher quality.

    We could not be more pleased. The estimate process was smooth. Their experience and expertise are at the very top. It was a great pleasure to work with Yasser and Khaled they are most professional. From the initial contact until delivery it was obvious that the MOST important consideration for them was our satisfaction. Our expectations were met and surpassed. They maintain a wonderful positive attitude and took as much time as necessary to be sure we understood the process and o so throughout the entire experience. A huge factor in their ability to satisfy is the manner through which they kept us involved in the stain color selection and the courtesy they show even when arranging for pick up and delivery. Its hard to find anybody in any industry approaching the client/buyer the way everybody at A&FR does every day. The hall end table was a challenge inasmuch as there is intricate inlay and veneer throughout the design. If you have anything with a similar assembly you must not go anywhere other than Antiques & Furniture Restoration Inc. We are already picking furniture to bring to them for additional work.

    It was my last purchase that caused me to become upset. I was at the estate sale the first day. I requested to buy a box of vinyl records. I was told by Jessica that I had to wait until she could go through the entire box before she could give me a price. She said it may take her overnight or longer to determine the sale price of the box of records. The following day I missed her call. I called her back. She gives me a price of $250.00 I questioned if it was for the entire box. She tells me that she had to sale at least half of the box to other people. I messaged her and she said that more than half of the box had been sold. She then sent me a message stating that I could have what was left in the box for $100 I asked how many records were left. She said maybe 40. Then she says that I can pick them up the following day for $60. I picked up the remaining records (37). I paid more than it would have cost me to purchase the records from a store. I have records with a resale value around fifty cents and some with no value at all. I think If I was promised to be given the chance of purchasing the entire box that should have been upheld. I feel lied to and cheated.

    It was a pleasure working with Yasser and his team. I got an estimate very quickly by emailing some pictures. I also got a detailed explanation of how they would do the work and the timeframe to expect. They finished ahead of schedule which was nice. When they picked up my door, they secured the front door entryway from the inside. I didn't know how they would do this but they used a large panel. It was obvious they had done it many times before. They called us to come in and pick a color for the door and piano. They really do bring everything to its original shape and start over. It was super neat to see everything down to the bare wood. We enjoyed this experience much more than we thought we would. When everything was finished, everything looked fantastic. You can really feel Yasser's passion for what he does and it shows throughout his work.

    I worked with Bray and Scarff to repair a two year refrigerator for two months. I gave up and purchased a new refrigerator out of desperation. Bray and Scarff weren't not able to repair - ordered wrong part twice, installed a defective part.

    We had 6 chairs reupholstered and repaired. Some of the chairs were in really bad shape and 3 of the chairs were not even able to be sat in. Mr. Kim did a fantastic job putting the chairs back together and reupholstering them. Now I will have my dining room set for a very long time.

    We had a fire in our home in early 2015.??The fire started in the master bedroom and destroyed the entire top level of our home.? The smoke damage and water damage resulting from the fire was extensive throughout the main level and recreation room level as well.? We thought we had lost everything.? On the day of the fire, A Quality Finish came to our house and evaluated all of the fine furniture in our home and determined which pieces could be salvaged and which could not.? I was amazed that AQF?determined that they could restore all the pieces of fine mahogany and cherry wood furniture from our?main level and even some of the upholstered pieces as well. About a?week after the?fire, I was invited to come to the?AQF workshop and receive a briefing?by the owner, Joe, on the condition of each piece and the steps he would take to restore the furniture.? I was amazed that he thought he could fix these special possessions of mine.? And, of course, I hoped that he would be successful.? They were all very expensive and valuable to me. After a several months of construction restoration,?our builder returned the house to us.? Since I had been in fairly regular contact with AQF during the construction period, they had completed all their work and were?ready to deliver the finished furniture to us on the designated move-in day.? As promised, they came to the house on time?and brought all of our treasures back to us.? And I say "treasures" because AQF had amazingly restored our furniture to better than ever condition.? Our cherry dining room table was BEAUTIFUL and gleamed.? All scratches, gouges, discoloration, and smoky smells were gone.? The table was better than new.? The same can be said of all the furniture.? In fact, the kitchen table was better than ever because AQF had restored the table and then added a protective coating on the table to protect against any future scratches on this centerpiece of our kitchen.? I will use AQF forever for any furniture restoration, or upholstery work.? They are top-notch.? (And they are so pleasant to work with as well.? A great team of professionals.)

    The estimate process with Mike and the two guys who later came onsite to do the work were all great.  Onsite guys were efficient and did an outstanding job.  Scheduling was quite simple and was within a week, though when calling their office sometimes getting someone on the phone was a bit of a challenge. This is forgivable since this is a small business who does onsite work and are often out of the office, and calls were always promptly returned.
    Only thing that caught me off guard was when they asked for a check at the conclusion of the onsite work vs billing after the fact or up front.  Credit cards were not offered as an option, even though they are listed in Angie's List profile as being accepted.  This could also have been an oversight on my part because I never asked about it, but it was surprising in today's digital age that a check was the only option offered.

    Modern Piano Moving
    Let me begin by saying that everyone, and I mean everyone, I dealt with was pleasant, professional and polite.  Everyone wanted to be as helpful as possible.  With that said, scheduling was a nightmare.  The piano had to be moved from an empty house so the move had to be coordinated so someone could meet the movers at the house.  They won't move a piano until they have a full truck.  Makes sense, but certainly not geared towards good customer service.  We were finally given a date for pickup and delivery.  The delivery ended up being late and, I guess to satisfy us, the piano ended up arriving at 9:30 p.m.  Then the guys had to set it up.  It was a late night for everyone. The piano is old and was dry. In moving, some of the decorative pieces on the legs fell off.  Hoping to be helpful, the movers glued it back on.  However, it shifted during the move and had to be professionally removed and replaced (at my expense) once it arrived here.  I do believe I contacted the company when all was done but never got any response. I feel I should have gotten some apology, remuneration, something (!) for all of my trouble.  I even remember speaking to someone on the phone who said they were having a big meeting and this case would be discussed.  I never got any feedback. Very disappointing.
