Overall they did a pretty good job, they did exactly what I asked them to. Friendly service and was done when promised. There a few tiny matts left behind her ears, but overall she looked, felt and smelled noticeably better.

The puppy, Chewy, was purchased and taken to our personal veterinarian the day of purchase. Chewy was treated for what was thought to be a cold. After multiple blood tests, x-rays, and a bronchoscopy conducted by a veterinarian internal medicine specialist, it was determined that Chew had a resistant strain of pneumonia. As of October 25, 2015, he is still on a daily regimen of antibiotics, cough suppressants, and nebulizing treatments. The cost thus far has been around $3,000 and he's only 6 months old.
Bonnie Hickey, the manager/owner, at one point offered to give us store credit to make up for the medical bills. This offer (which was an insult) was rescinded once we reached out on social media for a solution/treatment for our problem. Since then, Ms. Hickey has made derogatory comments about my wife and threatened us with a lawyer.
On October 25, 2015, I sent Ms. Hickey the following email:
    Ms. Hickey,
I have waited patiently to see if you would contact me regarding Chewy's health and medical bills. Last night, after giving Chewy his medication for the night and his final nebulizer treatment for the day, that patience ended.
Neither my wife nor I have ever had a negative thing to say about Pets Plus, its staff, or the products. We have always found everyone helpful (especially David) and fairly knowledgeable. Even with all that Chewy has had to endure, we have not made any negative statements - even after the derogatory comments you have made about my wife.
After our last conversation, I examined my wife's social media posts. I'm not sure where your issue lies. She was looking for anyone with the same problem - not with Pets Plus - but with a dog purchased or groomed at Pets Plus. We have been trying to figure out the best course of treatment for Chewy and one way of determining that is to find out if this is an isolated illness or if
there could be a contamination at some point in the supply chain. As a responsible business owner, I'm sure you would want to know the source. As responsible pet owners, we have ensured you were kept informed every step of the way.
Granted, other people who saw my wife's posts had their own comments to make or experiences to share. Trust me, we heard plenty about puppy mills, adopt don't shop, and derogatory personal insults directed at both us and your business. What we were (and are still) looking for is a solution to our puppy's problem and hopefully prevent anyone else from going through the same thing.
I had hoped you would do the responsible thing, stand by your business, and try to figure this out as well. Instead you have sought to blame us for not using your veterinarian, blame our veterinarian for providing treatment that you felt unnecessary (but has kept him alive), and denigrate my wife in your store. Our veterinarian and the specialist at the veterinarian internal medicine have not simply made up his diagnosis. There are over $3,000 in blood work, radiology, and medications to back it up. This is just the beginning. He still requires a Barium x-ray he cannot get until the pneumonia is cleared.
At this point, I can no longer stand by and be patient. I love my puppy and wouldn't trade him for anything. However this does not negate your responsibility and culpability. We were lied to about Chewy's origins - you informed me after the fact that he was from a "hobby breeder" and not a licensed breeder as your website states - then proceeded to insult us by offering store credit. I have decided to take this public (and not on social media) both locally and in Missouri where the Hunte Corporation is located.
    Thank you,
    Jody A. Reynolds

They gave my puppies a bath and nail polishing as complementary. They also gave me a discount because I had two puppies, but I am not saying that they are affordable. The last time we went there the puppies boarded in for three nights and if you pick them up past 12 o'clock, they charge you for that day as well. I will use them again in the future because they are open seven days a week and that is the reason why we chose them. They also have a nice facility, but there was a problem with one staff. I liked my puppies to be together and I told the staff that I want them in the run and they said okay. I found out that they put them in a cage. They do take them out of the cage when they exercise them but I do not want my dogs in the cage, I want them in the run. So, when we picked them up, I said, "I found that you put them in a cage and I stated that I did not want them there. I want them in the run." So, the lady who was taking care of me said, "Let me ask this person because she has been here longer." She returned and asked and she said, "Can we put these guys in the run from now on?" And the lady said, "Absolutely not." And I said, "Why not? I am paying for it. Why can I not have what I want?" And then the lady that was taking care of me went to the owner and the owner said, "Yes, she definitely can. If she pays for the run, she gets the run." So, that staff, I do not know what her issue is but I believe they need to sit down and speak with her or terminate her just because her attitude is really bad.

Services were good, however I ever got a call to pick up my dog!  When I got there four hours later, they said they had tried to call me, but the phone told them it would not go through. They had the right number, but because they were using a land line and I had an out of area cell number, they could not call me.  They honestly did not know that you have to use a 1 before an out of area code number when you dial...I was quite surprised!

    Aquia Grooming
I have a Pembroke Corgi, long haired, and was concerned that whoever groomed her, would not do it correctly. I had used a groomer about a year before and was okay with the cut and overall look of the dog, but was not wowed. When you walk into Aquia Grooming, it is clean and pleasant looking. The counter for sales is and the front area with chairs it completely separate from the rest of the business of grooming. At first I wanted to see the entire area, but then I thought about it and liked the separation because it just gave a more pleasing entrance. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised when I went back to get our dog and she looked gorgeous! The groomer did exactly what I asked for and also did what she told me she would do. Our dog was brought out from the back and she was excited and remained that way for some time. The groomer and I had a chat about the care taken and I was told how calm and cooperative our dog which was a good sign that our dog was well taken care of.

They always take me in no matter when I call. They never don't have room to take my dog. I have had that problem with other groomers where I have to wait a week or two for them to get me on the calender. I never have to wait at this place. They always take me in the day I call.

Laurie is a top notch groomer and a great person. I highly recommend her to all dog owners. When we first realized our dog needed regular grooming we chose Laurie from a friend's recommendation. She warmly welcomed Shadow every other Saturday for the past two years. Shadow could almost tell each week as the day approached that she was getting her treat and going to get a bath from Laurie. Our old dog was almost a puppy as she went into the shop each time. The service Laurie offered helped Shadows skin and and fur. Laurie'a professionalism and cheer make her one of the great business people of Stafford.
