    New American Kitchen & Bath
New American Kitchen and Bath (David) I have completely wasted my money with this company. The showroom pales in comparison to what is received. The craftmanship, ethical & honest treatment, a complete and satisfactory product are all nonexistent, inferior, and down right despicable. I embarked upon a project that was supposed to take 2-3 weeks. Six months later, yes 6 months; I am without a usable kitchen. I have no sink, no stove, no oven....they were gracious enough to plug in the new refrigerator and microwave. They mounted "custom cabinet" that don't fit the appliances, nails are literally/visually protruding, components of the cabinet can be moved by the touch of my index finger. I caution all to read the reviews about this company. The reviews can be found everywhere on various webpages including but not limited to this site, Yelp, Google, BBB, and DPOR etc. Shame on me for not doing my homework and most importantly not adhering to the warnings.

    Resurrection Builders, Inc.
Complete bathroom remodel. Started job on time. Competitive pricing for scope of work. Demolition of bathroom, removing bathtub, vanity, wall cabinets, lighting, commode, wall and floor tile. Installed new floor and wall tiles, vanity, lighting and mirror, moved plumbing and electrical as needed, installed new plug outlet, installed new light and fan switches, installed new commode, built walk in tiled shower (no tub) with grab bars, relocated and installed new fixtures, painted complete bathroom and door. Cleaned up everyday before leaving. Hauled off old debris in a dumpster. Start to finish 2 weeks. Very polite. Very professional. Easy to work with. Will provide many ideas for the job at hand. Super attention to details. Nothing negative at all. My wife loves the bathroom.

    Resurrection Builders, Inc.
I was very impressed with Resurrection Builders. After receiving price quotes from larger contractors, I decided to see if a smaller contractor could handle my job and time restraint ( had to be completed in 2 months). Ryan offered an competitive bid and guaranteed that he could finish the remodel according to my deadline. I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work of Ryan's employees. They were punctual and explained in detail each step of the remodel. The finished remodel exceeded my wife's expectation and we have received many compliments on our bathrooms. I would not hesitate to use Resurrection Builders again.

Couldn't be any worse! "David" (guy in charge of NAKB) hired incompetent people. They came without equipment & had to borrow ours, didn't have basic supplies & worked out of the trunk of a car. The first tiler & plumber were fired because it was clear they were incapable; they leveled the tub with a piece of sheet rock instead of shims! The second plumber refused to come because he said he wasn't under contract, & "David" was out of town for 3 weeks & was the only one who could sign. We hired & paid for our own plumber..."David" said he'd reimburse us but then tried to force us to sign a waiver that negated the guarantee on his work; we had to take him to court to get the money. The guy who laid the tile was a handyman, not a professional tiler, & the tile is all crooked & unevenly caulked, if caulked at all. The caulking is messy, & he damaged our brand new tub. It took 8 weeks to do one small bathroom, it looks like crap, and we are out thousands of dollars, plus we had to take him to court to recoup some of the money. The bathroom is soooo bad, we are having it torn out and re-done again. ("David" claimed in court that he showed photos of our bathroom to perspective customer...really? He came to our house once after the remodel was complete and did not take any photos; plus showing such photos is professional suicide.)

    SS Creative Concepts
Project went very well. Steve was incredibly responsive to messages and e-mails. Since the work was being done at a rental property coordination of site visits are always a little harder then normal but Steve handled it very well and was professional all of the time. Steve showed up when he said he would (for both the estimate visit and ultimately when he did the repair work to the kitchen cabinets and installed the new ventilation hood). I would definitely use him and his firm again for projects in the house.

    Resurrection Builders, Inc.
Ryan and his team were a joy to work with. Their professionalism and attention to detail were so impressive that even the plumber and the shower glass contractors commented on them! The tile work is gorgeous and they delivered on every request that we made. They were friendly, prompt, and always came to work when they said they would. We are thrilled with our bathroom and would highly recommend hiring them for your next renovation project!

    VAPR Construction
This contractor did not maintain contact while developing a detailed scope-of-work to ensure customer needs are met as promised on their website. Most of my contact with VAPR was through Facebook Messenger and was lovely, until there simply ceased to be replies at all one day. I am still not sure what happened, but am back at square one on finding a reliable contractor for my jobs. I tried contacting more than one person in charge and also by all means Facebook, email and phone. They basically just stopped talking to us in the middle of the process and didnt have the courtesy to tell us why. I guess the silver lining is that it was just during the estimate/contract time period and not after our house was being worked on. Perhaps we dodged a bullet. Read on if youd like to know more about our experience: I reached out to VAPR on 5/17/18 through Facebook after getting two other estimates that were lower. Mike responded the very next morning with availability to come and give an estimate. Unfortunately, I had to work as it was a Friday and so we scheduled for Monday, 5/21/18. We received our written estimates on 5/22/18 and were happy with the price (higher, but I think more realistic than the other estimates) and detail put into the estimate. On 5/26/18, I reached out to Mike for suggestions on where we should go to look at our design options as hed mentioned having accounts with different tile place one in Fredericksburg and two in Manassas. I also asked if they still honor the coupon posted on Angies list. He said they would honor the coupon. I asked him for the estimate revised with the discount. I also asked if the contract would contain a timeline for completing the work and a schedule for payments (i.e. how much upfront and what was due as work was completed). Mike responded on 5/29/18 (as Id said not to worry about getting back to me over the holiday weekend) that he would get that information to me that evening. I followed up with him the next day (5/30/18) and he sent the information/revised estimates and answered additional questions then. I told him we had a very busy week, but would look over the estimates and get back to him. Mike reached out over the weekend (6/3/18) asking if I had any questions. We had decided to move forward with VAPR and told the other contractors that we were going a different direction. I asked if he could meet me to sign a contract and go over design ideas, since they offer conceptual design and work-scope review on their website. He replied that they normally have the customer pick out everything prior to contract, so the contract price is the exact price (depending on the finishes). He said I could send pictures or Pinterest links to go over the aesthetic I liked. He provided some additional online sources for finishes. I told him my husband and I hadnt had much time to shop. On 6/4/18, Mike offered assistance with the type of tile that would be suitable for my needs/project. That same day, my husband and I took off work and went to the tile companies in Manassas (both closed at 5pm). I found a tile I loved at Daltile and was told at the showroom/store that she couldnt give me the actual price (only a retail cost) since they only sold wholesale. I would need to follow up with our contractor to see how much they would charge. On 6/5/18, I sent Mike a message asking about the tile price. I also sent lots of pictures about the exciting ideas we had found. He replied that he could match the paint color Id found. I followed up on 6/8/18 (marked seen on 6/9/18), again asking about the tile price so I could see if it was affordable or if I should keep looking. He never replied. I sent an email on 6/11/18 asking if hed seen my message on Facebook and asking if email was preferable. I outlined more of the choices wed picked and sent links/photos. Still no response. On 6/19/18, I emailed saying I had really been looking forward to working with VAPR and asked what went wrong. I commented that I was trying to be understanding if something came up or things got hectic, but also saw that they were soliciting new business with posts on Facebook. I still received no response. On 6/25/18, I came across an email address for Mickey at VAPR. I forwarded him the emails Id sent to Mike and asked what was going on. Mickey immediately replied and said he would look into it in the morning and get back to me no later than tomorrow evening. He never got back to me. My husband called Mickey and left a message on 6/28/18. Mickey called him back and said he would talk to Mike and either he or Mike would be in touch by the next day. We have never heard back from VAPR since.
