    Absolutely horrible experience!!!!!  Access Eye is only concerned with making money on overpriced glasses and certainly not with good patient care.  I was initially seen by Dr. Coleman, who told me I had a choice of either trying eyeglasses, or obtaining more testing to more accurately determine what the problem was.  I clearly told him I wanted more testing before spending a fortune on eyeglasses.  Instead he sent me to Dr. Testa for eyeglasses! 
    I saw Dr. Testa, and my initial eyeglass prescription was wrong.  Staff continually refused to let me have a recheck eye examination to obtain a correct eyeglass prescription.  Instead they remade glasses, which only continued the fiasco because not only was the prescription wrong, but the lab made error after error.  One time the lens were made so foggy it was like looking through a cloud!  Yet staff told me they were fine.  Unbelievable!  Every time I asked why I was not being allowed a recheck, they shuffled me back to their sales people in the eyeglass department.  And when I asked the sales people why I was not being given a recheck, they replied they weren't doctors & to ask the doctor.  When I left a message for the doctor, I was sent back to the sales department.  I can't tell you how frustrating this was.  To make matters worse, management in the eyeglass department accused me of obtaining a 2nd opinion from a doctor I had never even heard of and certainly never saw; told me lie after lie, and only added to this frustrating experience.  After literally having eyeglasses remade more times than I can count, and getting it wrong every time, Dr. Testa finally saw me for a recheck.  By this time months had passed; I had no glasses that worked, and I still didn't know what the problem was with my eyes because the testing I had requested from Dr. Coleman was never performed.  On the day of my recheck, Dr. Testa was very rude, was obviously extremely irritated that he had to take the time to do a recheck (which baffled me because every other eye office I called told me rechecks were standard); was very impolite and rushed through the exam.  He didn't even hand me a prescription; I had to ask for it when checking out.  I knew right away that it was wrong yet again.  The office manager was incredibly rude, and treated me like an idiot, even though I was very knowledgeable about how to read a prescription for eyeglasses.  The prescription was WAY too strong, and I told the manager so.  I was not allowed to discuss this with Dr. Testa, nor receive a proper prescription, and to top it off they refused to remake the glasses.  I spent close to $2,000.00 in glasses with this company, and they were all wrong.  Finally I obtained a second opinion with a reputable eye doctor, who informed me that both prescriptions from Dr. Testa were wrong, and furthermore, that the recheck prescription by Dr. Testa was WAY too strong.  The 2nd opinion doctor was not at all surprised that I felt sick in the glasses, and was unable to use them.  He advised all glasses me remade. 
    The manager at Access Eye made it absolutely miserable to get the eyeglasses remade with the correct prescription from the new doctor.  I had to write letters and make call after phone call.  Then to top it off, when the glasses were remade, again they were made wrong!!!!!  Computer lens were put in reading glasses, edge polish applied when it shouldn't have been, and many other problems.  The manager argued with me about the edge polish saying it wasn't ordered, and that there wasn't any edge polish.  Whether it was ordered or not wasn't the issue - the lens edges were polished and they shouldn't have been.  I had to physically show the manager, and she finally admitted I was right.  Whatever happened to the customer always being right?  Time and time again, I had to go out of my way to prove to this office that what I was saying was true.  Every single time they made things incredibly difficult.
    Never EVER use this company!  And especially do NOT buy glasses from them.  Save yourself the time, hassle, frustration and go somewhere else!

    Dr Christina Dixon was the provider. She has horrible dr/patient manners. Tried insisting I throw out contacts I was wearing as the were "dirty" although they were a week old and she said she didn't care for that brand. She also was miffed I said I don't change my contact soln nightly and typed notes in her computer with making a comment of there my lawyer would approve of this. What the heck is that all about!  I was just wanting to get new contact lenses. This lady is crazy!  She did order me new ones and we were trying a different presription. I told her one was definitely not working it was making me dizzy (too high of a RX) she ordered me the same prescription my old contacts were then I told her now the left was doing the same. I eneded up just ordering the same Rx which I know is not the righ prescription because after her horrible bedside manner, like when I commented it was cold in the office she told me I needed to gain weight!  So I politely replied at this point with maybe some people should just be a little healthier and loose weight..  I really have no idea where this animosity was coming from I just wanted contacts. Her final comment of how the area will be such a better community with me in it, makes me let everyone I know to never come to this facility! THe front office girls were very pleasant to work with just not the doctor.

    I've been looking for a trustworthy optometrist for a couple of years and I finally found one...Dr. Fields.  She and her team are really caring folks who put the patient first.  I scheduled the appointment for my family and me by phone, went in a little early the day of the appointment to fill out some paperwork and the whole process went without a hitch.  The office is a well-oiled machine!  My family and I barely sat down when we started getting called in for our screenings and exams.  I couldn't believe how quickly the process went!  And that's a good thing.  I didn't feel rushed at all.  The technician explained everything she was going to do, had time for me to ask questions and she was very thorough. 
    As for Dr. Fields, she embodied professionalism and confidence.  She explained the entire vision check procedure in layman's terms and answered all my questions.  A great big bonus was her use of the photo scan to check the retinas.  It sure beats having to have my eyes dilated!  She is the first optometrist to offer that to me. 
    My entire family was grateful for the outstanding service Dr. Fields and her team provided.  One family member needed glasses and was given excellent assistance by the staff.  Much different experience from a previous optometry clinic.  With Dr. Field's we were not pushed to the most expensive glasses.  Instead, we were allowed to decide based on our needs and financial situation.  The entire staff put the patient first.  Thanks!

    Dr Dixon took the same care that he had used the last time I visited his office. He remembered from my last visit that I had undergone LASIX surgery.  That rendered the results from the automatic diagnostics questionable.   He performed the manual exam to ensure that the findings were correct.  Dr. Davis was key in preventing me from having cataract surgery which was unnecessary.  I had gone to an optometrist  who stated that I needed to have cataract surgery which would have cost me nearly 7 thousand dollars.  That was more than 10 years ago and I still have not had any problems with my eyes and no cataracts. Dr Davis will always be my optometrist.  I am sure that he has my best interest at heart more than filling his wallet.

    Avoid Access Eye!!  The only thing they care about is selling over priced glasses; the health & well being of the patient is bottom of their list.  On top of that, their policy on eyeglass prescription rechecks is absurd!  I literally spent months asking for a prescription recheck, only to continually be told I had to go through their optical shop.  The optical shop would tell me they weren't doctors, and that I needed a recheck.  This went round and around.  The whole while I was stuck with expensive glasses that I couldn't see out of properly, made me extremely dizzy and sick.  I finally had to pay out of pocket to have a recheck done elsewhere, which proved that the original prescription by Access Eye was incorrect & was why the glasses I had made by Access Eye caused me extreme dizziness & nausea.  I then spent months fighting with Access Eye to get them to remake my glasses, only for them to make mistake after mistake, continuously giving me glasses that weren't made accurately.  12 remakes later and they still didn't get it right!.  Access Eye is incredibly difficult to deal with; have inaccurate records; and never did get it right.

    This is the second pair of glasses I have purchased from this office since March; and, overall, I have been satisfied with the treatment I received. While they are very expensive and you can certainly do better pricewise elsewhere, they do make an effort to get things right and will make every attempt to correct their mistakes. I have a very strong prescription and wear a progressive lens which was not exactly right on the first pair of glasses I purchased in March. They were returned and redone. Also, Amy spent a great deal of time with me helping me to pick out a suitable frame. The second pair was perfect. Unfortunately, I lost this pair of glasses at the beach in July and returned for another eye exam and another pair of glasses. Prescription was perfect, but the edge of the lenses was not polished as I had requested, so they are redoing them. Fortunately, they are letting me wear the original pair until the other one comes in since there is such a huge difference between the most recent prescription and my old one.
    After purchasing my most recent pair of glasses at myeyedr, I decided to call a few competitors to compare prices. Myeyedr was definitely the most expensive. In future, I will see Dr. Kwok for my eye exam, get a copy of my prescription, and then shop around for the best price.

    I used the MER mail-in repair service that My Eye Dr. recommended. My glasses were back to me repaired correctly in less than a week. Total cost was $37.95. Quality work at reasonable price. The mail-in feature was very convenient as there location is about 30+ minutes from me.

    The appointments went well. Dr. Dixon was caring and explained all possible reasons for my symptoms and varying forms of treatment. He didn't force his opinion and even suggested that I could see an additional specaislist if my symptoms continued. I didn't get overly billed for services. Although I was going to the center at one point weekly, they didn't make up anything just to add it to the bill, I was just charged for the office visits. All the staff was friendly.

    Didn't wait too long after checking in. Dr. Kwok is very nice and friendly. I would check around before ordering glasses as they seem to be high. Ask for the prescription before leaving as they always want you to sit down with a sales person after your visit.

    I use Visionworks because it is convenient and my eye health isn't particularly bad. If I needed more specialized care, I would go to an independent rather than to one of the chains, or I would see an opthamologist. The optometrist who I saw for this appointment was friendly and professional. The other staff assisted me to choose some frames that I wound up loving and that get me a lot of compliments. Kudos to them for spending a good amount of time with me on that. I was able to see the optometrist promptly, but the store was busy, so the overall process took a little longer than I would have liked. The staff do try to upsell a little (tinted lenses, anti-glare, etc etc) so the price can get pretty high. But this is a chain store in a mall, so keeping that in mind, overall, the services were fine.
