    Picture Perfect Paper & Trim
Danny did an excellent job. He was very professional, courteous, and punctional. He came out to give the estimate the day after I called and started the work the following week. He completed the work during the timeframe promised and took as much care with my home as if it were his own. I will definitely use him again.

    AMRO Construction
From start to finish AMRO Construction was by far the most professional, respectful, honest and forthcoming with regard to the scope of work needed to restore my kitchen, the time it would take to perform the work, and the cost involved. I personally interviewed two other contractors and decided to hire AMRO above them all. All matters pertaining to this job were handeled swiftly, with integrity and to my complete satisfaction. I am also impressed with the way Andrei cares for his crew as well as his customers. This is a rare quality demonstrated these days. I can honestly highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future. Its a relief to know I have someone there that I can trust when I need them!

    Dunright Contracting Services
After hiring and firing the previous contractor, George and his team were left with a quarter-finished basement. The previous install was all wrong and some of the previous work had to be redone but George and Dunright Contracting lived up to their name! They not only corrected all of the previous issues, they ensured their work was done right and done the first time!

Dunright completed work tiling a full bathroom (bottom to top!), installed a new toilet, shower, full sink, wired in lights, the works! They also had to cut into the concrete of the basement to ensure the new work was up to modern building code. Then after completing that, they put in a new window, finished the drywall work and duct work. All said and done, they took an empty, concrete  basement and turned it into a bedroom, bathroom and study complete with plenty of closet space and no cramped feeling!

     Great work!

    Paramount Builders Inc
Harry and Sons (from Paramount) were pleasant, but also meticulous in workmanship. Wrap looks great and shows the pride they take in exacting measurements for aluminum coil folds and cuts. We will do future work with Paramount because of Harry and Sons and their get to work; stay at work; and get it right standards.

Mr. Handyman of the Fredericksburg Region
Outstanding customer service representative (Kevin) carefully walked me through all the details and process to accomplish the work I needed.  Being across the country, I had to rely on only verbal communication only.  He told me what could and could not be done, and the best means to accomplish the task and the right tradesmen to do the work, with recommendations for materials too.  The personal level of attention and follow up was fantastic and the cost estimate was right on target.  The tenant confirmed the high quality of work and is very pleased.  One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.

    Dannex Construction
I purchased this deal for my son to have some tile work and drywall finished. I also inquired with Daniel how much it would be for him to install my son's kitchen cabinets and he said it would be $1265.00 for the installation. There were some scheduling issues that did arise from Daniel which was very inconvenient for my son and his work schedule. We also  had to pay for an additional hour of work for the tile which I felt should have been completed in the allotted time had the guy showed up in the morning verses the afternoon. Also a cabinet was damaged during the installation. They did not get the installation finished in the allotted time. They are now trying to charge me an additional $475.00. I have been trying to call and speak to Daniel but keep getting the receptionist. I need the work completed and the damaged cabinet replaced. I am fine with paying the extra $30.00 to take the cabinets out that was discussed  but not the $475.00 for a whole day.  I feel like they were being deceptive by trying to charge for a whole day.

DO NOT use this contractor unless you want 100% disappointment.
Mr. Harold Romero found my wife at Home Depot while he was working in the tile section. She was there pricing tile for this job and he seemed very knowledgeable. I was in Afghanistan at the time and she was looking to hire a contractor to retile our spare bathroom and asked Mr. Romero if he knew anyone trustworthy that he would recommend to come out and give my wife a bid. He responded that he was a tile man with his own business and offered to come and give her a quote. They scheduled a time and he came over and gave us a bid of $1200 for labor and we buy all of the supplies (tile, grout, shower doors, thinset, etc.). The deal included a 1 year warranty on the work and came complete with a signed contract.
She signed the contract and gave him half up front ($600). He and his helper came the following week and did the job in about 3 days and everything seemed ok at the time....until the troubles started.
Approximately one month after they had finished the job we started noticing the grouting on the floor was coming out. My wife called him and left a message with him to call her back. He called her back and informed her that he was in Nicaragua (his home country) getting back surgery and that he would get someone to come out and take a look at it. Two weeks went by and no contact. She called him again (800 number) and he said the same thing but this time, he was going to get his cousin to contact us and schedule a time. We exchanged numbers and we called the cousin and set up a time to meet him and have him look at the issue and hopefully fix it. We waited three hours for him to show up, but never a phone call or anything. When we tried to call him back, he didn't answer.
So again, we called Mr. Romero asking him if he could please fix the issue because we were getting ready to rent the house out, as me and my wife had just purchased another larger house and was going to be renting this one. This time he apologized and said that his cousin didn't want to drive down to our house because it was too far away and he just "forgot" to tell us that he wasn't coming. So, this time Mr. Romero assures us that his church friend would be coming to inspect the issue and told us a day and time that he would be there and again, we were stood up.
Finally at this point, I'd came back home from Afghanistan and we were in the process of moving out and getting the place ready to rent and I contacted Mr. Romero myself and told him that if the issue wasn't fixed, we would be pursuing a civil case against him. He responded that threats weren't necessary and that he would pay out of his own pocket to get the issue fixed. Two months later, no attempts from Harold Romero or anyone else was made to fix the tile issue and we were forced to hire a PROFESSIONAL tile installer to come and fix the issue.
When he began ripping up the old tile, he became quickly aware of why the grouting was coming out between the tiles. It was because the floor tiles were not cemented to the floor. The Schleuter Ditra waffle board that they had laid down to put the tile over had not been anchored to the subfloor so the tile were moving when they were stepped on. I'm not even a tile guy and I know that was wrong. Furthermore, there was water damage in the corner between the toilet and the tub, which was due to the shower doors not being properly adjusted when Mr. Romero put them on. This allowed water to bypass the bottom lip of the shower rail and drain onto the floor anytime someone took a shower. Luckily we discovered this early enough that serious damage didn't occur, but needless to say this guy was no professional.
We are pursuing a legal case against Mr. Harold Romero and Morning Decks. Please be aware so that you do not become his next victim.

    Home Living Restoration Services Inc
The job was going fine for 98% of the work.
Interaction with the insurance company relieved me from having to deal with that headache.
Company subcontracts out much of the work with little or no supervision from HRLS employees.  This caused real problems with the storm door installation and the painting of the interior of our home.

    Resident Handyman
This was my first experience with hiring a painting job in my home.  When the "Handyman" returned my call, he seemed disappointedthat I wanted interior painting done, and offered his wife to do the job, even though "interior painting" was one of the services advertisedin his ad.   I contracted the job because I was under a time constraint.  He was cold.  His wife was, "ok".  He did some repair work onmy stairway, and then sat in his truck, while his wife painted the room.  The job was just ok.  I can see spots on the wall where the paint is too thin and the old color shows through.  There is a pretty noticable area on a door around a doorhandle, where there is NO paint.I had to go back over their work.  And touch up the areas that they missed or forgot.   I don't think that I should pay $400+ and do thisfor one average sized bedroom.,
