    Premiere Property Management, LLC
Not a standard review, but one I felt had to made here ... from a tenant's point of view. Erin and team were gracious and understanding; guiding our family through a difficult landlord/tenant relationship. Her commitment to communicate and listen ultimately resulted in amicable resolution for both parties. As a property owner myself, Premiere's service instilled confidence that, were they to manage my own properties, they would be thorough and fair. Furthermore, I'm certain that my tenants, throughout the period of Lease, would be treated professionally while Premiere executed their role and responsibility. Thank-you Erin ... we definitely recommend PR!

    Two Marines Moving
To Whom It May Concern: In February 2015 my wife and I hired Two Marines Moving for our local move to our new home in Springfield. We were quite pleased with the Two Marines Moving's crew professionalism and care in 2015 move. We are remodeling our Springfield home and needed the refrigerator and gas range moved to the garage along with several items moved up from the basement, so we chose Two Marines Moving based on our previous experience. That was a terrible mistake. We will not hire Two Marines again, and recommend to our friends that they chose another mover when the need arises. I scheduled a 2 p.m. appointment. The crew arrived at 2:57 p.m. I understand delays, and your firm called me at 2:27 p.m. and advised me that the crew would arrive in a few minutes. The crew brought an appliance dolly with which to move the refrigerator and range. The refrigerator's size requires one individual to steer and one to guide. The crew members clearly were unfamiliar with the proper use of an appliance dolly. They placed the load strap over the refrigerator handles. I stopped them and advised them that placing the load strap over the handles would likely bend the handles. They reconfigured the load strap under the handles. I have relocated many times since 1977, moving myself nearly every time, and used an appliance dolly literally hundreds of times to move appliances and other furniture. The first rule of appliance dolly safety- the strap must be as tight as possible. The second rule- always walk the appliance dolly down the steps, never walk a dolly with the appliance up higher than the user. Never. Yesterday your crew broke these rules repeatedly, endangering their personal safety. The crew did not examine the refrigerator interior before moving the unit, nor did they examine the top of the refrigerator before tilting it on the dolly, as the refrigerator top stood above eye level. I had emptied the refrigerator and cleared the top, but the appliance mover has a duty to check these items before moving any appliance. The path from the kitchen to the garage required the movers to lower the appliance down two steps into the family room and through a sliding door, onto a patio, and then walk the dolly to the garage. The crew placed the refrigerator on the dolly, and one crew member proceeded to lead the dolly down the steps. The refrigerator, a GE Model # GFE29HSDSS, weights 390 pounds! The crew member nearly lost the refrigerator as in the down position all the weight was on his arms. He bounced the refrigerator down both steps! When moving the range they did the same, except this time they did not tighten the load strap securely, and again they bounced the range down the steps. This time, however, the range lifted with the load strap slack and the range side landed on the appliance dolly steel lip, badly denting the side of the range. The range should not have been loaded on the side, rather than from the back. When the crew moved the range from the front, instead of walking it safely down the steps, the unit tilted downwards, and the entire burner, grate, and burner cover assembly fell unto the floor. One burner cover landed near a crew member. He KICKED it across the room, hitting the wall! Yes, I refused to sign the papers at the end. I will print this email, attach a check for $68, and mail it to your corporate headquarters. I keep my word, unlike your company. To send untrained and unprofessional crew members to a job amazes me- the cost of your reputation far outweighs the pecuniary value of this job. The job ended at approximately 3:20. I had others items I needed moved, but not by this crew of clowns. Yet the crew sat in their van in my driveway until 4 p.m. As the crew and I exchanged words when I refused to sign the papers, I was concerned that the crew remained in my driveway for less than professional reasons. The sight of the damage to her range sickened my wife. Thank you. PS- Eight months later, TMM has refused to pay for the damages to the range.

    American Home Contractors Inc
This company appears to be a complete scam. We were scheduled for the inspection, repair and tune-up, with other promised offers. We waiting several weeks for the appointment, and instead were given an appointment just before rain despite promise that would not occur. Their staff arrived over 40 minutes late, because they wanted to stop for lunch first, even though we were their last appointment of the day. They didn't do virtually anything as advertised. The attic inspection involved a guy sticking his head up the attic hatch for seconds, snapping a couple pictures on his cell phone. The roof work was quick and perfunctory, and just the few dabs of caulk we did get were done right over just a fraction of the old, and were done minutes before pouring rain. The other requested work and estimate was blown off, with their staff putting hands on things and making them worse though they were not going to fix them. Then, adding insult to injury, and without any discussion or agreement of such added cost, the worker literally charged us double and for a whole additional job, just for spending literally about 5 minutes blowing a few leaves off the tops of the gutter guards. They even argued that their gift certificates/future credit deals are basically an error. I promptly contacted management after the appointment. Though the manager never called me back, another work appointment was scheduled for the following week. So, assuming everything would be made right, I took off again for the appointment. Nobody, including the staff who came the following week, knew why that second appointment was scheduled. Not only was it not to do any work, but it was apparently to just provide estimate for a new roof. It certainly made it seem like their company is a complete scam, with deals on inspections and "tune-ups" actually all designed just to bait-and-switch up-sell you for a whole new roof. And, adding to the suspicious nature of their actions, though the length of the front lawn and sidewalk in front of our clearly marked house was open, and the driveway was empty, the follow-up staff parked his unmarked car down the block, and had no company uniform. And every time you call for the manager, he is "in a meeting", but also not in the office, and nobody knows where he is or when he will return. This place appears like a bad telemarketing pyramid scam.

Meg Ross Of Keller Williams Realty
If you're first time home buyer, choose Meg Ross! Communication: It's so easy to talk to Meg on the phone or in person. She has a great positive energy about her that channels into every decision that you make. When you text or email, there is always a timely response even if she's on vacation or with another client. My husband and I had so many obstacles from constantly being out of town to limited communication during work throughout the entire process, yet Meg was still able to keep us informed on the next steps and how to prepare. There was never a situation where she was waiting on us or vice versa and we had offers on multiple homes without issues. Her communication with other agents is always classy and professional. Flexibility: We needed PoAs, different loan types, constantly changed our criteria and price; we were all over the place with no set goal or expected timeline. She was accommodating on everything such as booking a plumbing estimate to decide on continuing with an offer, oversaw inspection when I was out of town, delivered my earnest money deposit, took us to a showing Friday night before she was heading to a dinner party; she made it work on her personal time for us. Due to my husband's upcoming deployment, we were the clients that usually required an option B. Meg would give us option B - infinite to accomplish what best fit our current situation. Experienced: She never put me in a position where she was unreachable when there was a problem that needed to be solved immediately. Meg knows which documents to send at which time including additional documents for our unique situation with PoAs. For first time home buyers, I didn't know anything about mortgage or title companies. She has a whole network of people to choose from to get started or you can still choose your own companies. The benefit of choosing within Meg's network is that the communication and process is seamless. The working relationship has been there for the last 10 years and they are all experienced and as professional as Meg. Judgement: You can trust her and know that she has your best interest because she loves her job and wants her clients to find the perfect home and not the "it will grow on me" home. We have seen all types of homes including fixer uppers that were almost out of our price range. My husband and I are practically millennial's that watch Fixer Upper and think we could easily be Chip & Joanna...any real estate agent who's really in it for the money would've told us some encouraging advice to go for it. The first home we saw with Meg was a fixer upper guaranteed to sell in a day and out of our price range, she immediately knew that home was not right for us and highlighted every issue that we would have to address before moving in. Three offers later, I am in the most perfect home walking distance from the Franconia metro and extremely relieved it is not a fixer upper. Our progression from the first home to the final home was so drastically different it's daunting to think of how many wrong decisions we could've made. During our first inspection, we gained knowledge that saved us from continuing with that offer and took that to every open house. The most important thing to gain from this review is that Meg was essential in allowing us to evolve into the buyers that we are today especially against the DC metro housing market. If I could go buy 10 homes right now, I would be ecstatic to reach out to her and go do it all over again!

    ATLAS Home Inspection
I have read numerous reviews about Atlas Home Inspection and inspector Ed Snope that suggest he does a great job for home buyers. While his aggressive approach may satisfy some buyers and provide them a negotiating tool, as the seller of a home that has been subjected to one of Eds inspections, I feel compelled to offer a very different assessment. Earlier this year Mr. Snope of Atlas inspected a home we were selling--a 40-year-old home my family and I lived in and maintained well for almost 14 years. When Mr. Snope left my home following his 3+ hour inspection, I found damage to a window shade, garage door openers that no longer operated properly, and a locked door handle that caused us to lock ourselves out of our bathroom in the middle of the nightand required that we remove the door knob to access the bathroom. We also found multiple surfaces defaced with stickers indicating very minor problems. Mr. Snope delivered a report that contained many inaccuracies, including an error on the first page that added years to the age of the home--a data point that is easily checked online via public records. He also recorded some features of our home as not working when the only problem seemed to be his inability to understand their basic operations. The inspection report also seemed to base its findings on arbitrary and highly questionable standards and judgements, including recommending changes that would violate HOA covenants. To be fair, the inspector did report that our dishwasher had been recalled, which I confirmed with the manufacturer and were repaired at no cost to us. However, my overall view is that this home inspector lack professional integrity and courtesy. In our case he provided a report that was in many respects inaccurate, misleading and grossly unfair. He also showed little respect for our home and its current owners. In short, this is not a home inspector I would ever choose to engage, even if I was a buyer.

I have used Regency Moving for all my moving needs! They handled moving all my household items (furniture, etc.) when we moved to our new home, and because that went so well, I called on them again to move several pieces of big furniture from one level to another. Both times, I could not have been more pleased with their work. They were punctual, conscientious and professional. And, I am happy to say, not one piece of furniture or household item was damaged or lost. Thank you Regency, for making such an arduous event go so smooth and easy!! ~ Kelly C.

Excellent moving experience! We have used Regency movers in the past for a local move and knew we would again when moving our daughter into her apartment. No job seems to small for them. Always happy to use local businesses especially when they provide such fantastic service!

Deska Foundation Repair and Basement Waterproofing
They came out and epoxy injected the crack and replaced our sump pump with a battery back up system. They also inspected the rest of our foundation and flushed our drain system. Everything went well and they were less than a few other companies that we had quotes from. I would certainly use them again in the future.

Deska Foundation Repair and Basement Waterproofing
The engineer tested the walls and showed me that there was actually water coming through the walls at some areas. He said this was part of the problem and we needed to have the wall cracks epoxy injected and a drainage system installed with a sump pump. We were lucky that we were able to be proactive to address the problem as he mentioned that if we left the issue untreated it would have likely caused severe damage in the future. All in all, they did an excellent job and cost less than my other estimate!
