    Our car got hit in a parking lot (while we were in the grocery store) and the responsible party left and didn't leave a note.  The dent was significatnt so we called USAA to put in an insurance claim.  We've had insurance with them for years and they always have superior claims service!  Would definitely recommend them!

    After coming back to the States from an assignment over seas in 2011 we insured our two cars through Jesse Long - BIG mistake!
    Tuesday evening we go through the mail and find a letter from the DMV that our insurance has been terminated and if we did not show proof of new insurance our license plates as well as drivers licenses would be taken from us 10 days later! Now, that was complete news to us, as we never heard anything from Jesse directly nor State Farm in general. As it was after hours we called the hotline who gave us the next shock: We were driving without policy since December 2012!!! 
    The hotline worker told us as it was too long ago since the policies were terminated we would have to wait to the morning to talk to our agent and reinstate our policies.
    I called Jesse Long the next day to find out what had happened. He said that they needed our Drivers Licence numbers and the file showed that one of his associates claimed she had called and left a message about it, and had sent an email - well, both never happened! I asked him to tell my our number and email on file, maybe that was wrong. But no, both were correct. I was understandably upset how something like this could have happened, leaving us uninsured for 3 whole month!!! He apologized, rather half heartedly. I said that I was surprised that those glitches can happen and that his associate is obviously not reliable. He then jumped in that she is a very reliable person and does great work. Really??? After all this he is defending her and not showing concern for the situation that her lack in trying to get in touch with us left us in?
    I told him that my definition of the word "reliable" was clearly different from his. This could have potential left us paying hundreds of thousandths of dollars in case of an accident, and him going off how good a worker this girl is who screwed it up to get in touch with us, I just find no words for.
    Needless to say we moved our Insurance to another Insurer.

    They have been excellent to me and have used them since 1985 for home and auto insurance. The service has always been excellent and have always been rated as the best. It is worth noting that you can get a discount if you prepay the years insurance at the beginning of the year.

    For the first few years I saw myself losing about $200 per year. I even thought about canceling it. I am so glad that I didn't. The first incident was when my dog stepped on a fish hook when she was swimming on a lake. The cost for the removal and stitches, medicine totaled over $600.00. VPI paid for everything. The second claim was when they found a mast cell tumor on my dog. The cost for treatment was $6000.00. VPI paid for $3500.00. The policy has more than paid for itself. Just be sure to get the coverage when you first get your dog as a puppy. This way they can't say that something was a preexisting condition. I have seen that happen to some of our friends with dogs.
