    The service is fine. However, cannot recommend this company because they trap you into three-year commitments without telling you. While selling you the policy, they do not tell you you are signing up for a three-year term. Nowhere on the contract documents is a term length specified; the only indication thereof is a tiny box citing 36 installments. You can carry the service with you, but every time you do so, the contract resets for another three years. The only way out of the contract is to pay the installment balance, which entails a lump payment of hundreds of dollars. This appears to be designed to ensnare customers into a constant renewal cycle from which they cannot escape. As such, not only do I not recommend the company, I specifically recommend against even considering them.

    If you have a false alarm go off because someone burnt popcorn or a piece of toast - dont expect to get through to their phone lines in enough time to stop the fire department from knocking on your door! And be ready to commit your life to one of their payment plans - even if you dont own your home anymore.

    Ackerman Security Systems
    Horrible. Ackerman's salesman met with us and reviewed our options based on our currently installed ADT system. We paid extra money to upgrade to a system that would allow us to remotely control the security system with an Ackerman app on our phones. It was very clearly relayed to the Ackerman salesman that this was an extremely important feature to us. When the installer came a few days later, he fully installed the system and then when I asked him how to download the app, he said that what he installed doesn't come with an app. I've spent the last month trying to work with an Ackerman manager, Dave, and the original salesman to try and figure out how to get the system that they sold us installed, but they apparently can't do it. We've now had to pay to get ADT re-connected and Ackerman has not returned any of our phone calls since we told them we were going to switch back to ADT. They won't give us our $136 credit or pay for our ADT reconnection fee. Ackerman is absolutely horrible and has handled this situation with very little professionalism. Their managers assured us they would make this right and credit us for our money we paid them and pay for the ADT reconnection fees, but now they refuse to take our phone calls. I would strongly discourage anyone from getting an Ackerman system in their house.

    The technician Chris came out for same day service to rekey one lock in our house. He was communicative beforehand and let us know when a service call before ours took longer than expected. He was polite and professional, and did the work perfectly. I am so glad he was the one who responded to our service call!

    It was time to update our old ADT home security system.  ADT would not answer our questions over the phone; they sent a representative to see us.  We also called Frontpoint who was very friendly and took the time to answer our questions over the phone.  There was no pressure to purchase.  I called Frontpoint back another day with additional questions.  We went with Frontpoint and have been very satisfied.  Frontpoint's customer service is excellent!

    It is a great deal they are doing for the products for the home security system, the problem is, that the sensors are not working out of the box and the panel has caused us lots of issues. We pay the $44.99 a month for the Interactive Plan (mobile app, etc) and that is good, but we had issues setting the senors up and them falling off the wall. I had maybe 8 calls into them regarding activating, trouble shooting, and replacing sensors. We went with the Touch Screen Panel which is good, but now the sound does not work like it did before. I have been trouble shooting with them for the past week on it but I give up, it wont say Panel Armed like it used to do. The customer service is TOP NOTCH, which is why I am still with them. Everyone is nice, speaks clear English, and is very knowledgeable. The other thing that is great is you can buy more senors for cheaper than anywhere else I have found. So when we replace our windows I can buy new window sensors to go on those windows. I wish it was cheaper per month for our program but I am guessing I would have to sacrifice the service I am getting. The sensor I wish were better but I guess when send that many out you are going to have issues. They did comp me a month with all the issues I have been having so that is fair. I have recommended them to friends and family. They are not A status but they are the best out there for self install DIY home security systems.

    FrontPoint did a great job.  About 30 seconds after requesting an on-line quote, someone call my house and walked me through the process (highly punctual).  They had a couple packages, but we talked through my home layout and they built/modified an existing package that truly met my needs.  Then, after finding out I was an Angie's List member, they directed me to their deals on Angie's List so I could get a greater discount.  They even let me customize the Angie's List deals to get the sensors that made the most sense for my house.
    After completing the order, I expressed my desire to have the system soon because I was traveling and wanted to install it before I left.  They placed  a rush order at no extra charge and, though unconventional, said I could come to their facility to pick up the alarm package if it looked like UPS would not deliver it in time.  In fact, the alarm came a day earlier than they expected.
    Overall a great experience, with highly professional customer service at all times.

    Purchasing the deal was really easy, and took less than an hour by phone for us to review our needs, determine what equipment was best for us, and purchase the package. We installed the equipment ourselves, and got a service rep to activate everything even on Labor Day, a federal holiday. We haven't had any issues with false alarms, though we did have to figure out how to get it to stop beeping once it was armed (it made our dogs anxious). We really like having the app for remote monitoring.
