    I have been taking my cleaning to Valley Cleaners for about 30+ years. Never had a problem before. I used to take quite a bit of cleaning in on a regular basis, but once I retired some years ago I probably only go in once a year or so to get my winter coats cleaned. I went in recently to have a king-size comforter cleaned. I have had this comforter for years, had it cleaned at Valley Cleaners probably twice before, it was still in excellent condition. When I picked it up this time after cleaning the material on the outside was cleaned beautifully but the interior filling was no longer soft and fluffy, it was now solid so the comforter was ruined. I told them I would not pay the $40 cleaning fee, they agreed. They said they felt very bad and wanted to know what they needed to do to make it up to me. I said I need a new comforter, they wouldn't do that, they offered free cleaning on my next order. You've got to be kidding. First of all, I didn't have anything else that needed to be cleaned any time soon. I did not get angry at all, we just had a conversation. I finally I told them to just throw it out and left the store. I just had other, more important things on my mind that day. I went back to the store today telling the same woman that I just wanted to know what had changed, why this time the comforter was ruined when they always did a good job before. I was not asking them to pay for the comforter, I just wanted to understand because now I was not sure I wanted to bring anything else there to be cleaned. She said they used another company to clean the comforter, I said I thought it might be something like that. But, after talking a little longer she then walked that back and said nothing has changed, they are the same company, and they used the same company they always have to clean my comforter, using the solvent/chemicals/whatever. I told her something changed, but she then just kept repeating that nothing has changed. Again, I just walked out of the store. I was not upset up to that point, but that really bothered me, and why I decided to write this review. Need to find a new cleaners after all these years.

    Very well. When they first went to this tailor both my husband and my son had suits they thought should be altered. The tailor pointed put a small hole in my husband's suit and also correctly and helpfully said that the suit was not a candidate for alterarions due to other issues. The tailor looked at my son's suit and said that it was perfect the way it was. The tailor in effect chose honesty above $$. My husband returned a week later with a newly purchased suit that needed some alteration and a pair of jeans to be shortened. The work was done well and on time at a reasonable price.

    Ring (sterling silver Celtic Love knots) was resized, repaired, and cleaned for $20.  Quality of work was excellent.  Repair consisted of soldering crack.


    Kate Spade watch battery was replaced while I waited for $10.60.  Wait was approximately 7 minutes.

    The owner worked patiently with me to get my idea just right.  Showed me my original engagement diamond under a magnifier so I could recognize and identify it when the work was done.  All estimates and all the work  were done on the premises so my jewelry never had to leave the store. Finished pieces were completed ahead of schedule.  When I picked them up he again showed me both diamonds to confirm I could identify my original and see the new one.  

    He especially took great care in filling in the old engagement band and matching the finish to my wedding band.

    His original price was a few dollars more than a competitor's so he came down a bit.  I decided to go with him even with the slight price difference because he was so kind and recommended by other customers.  He ended up coming down a bit in the end.  

    He he was as happy as I was with the finished work. He obviously takes great pride in his craft.

    A few years back, I inherited a diamond ring from my grandmother.  I hadn't worn it because it was too big.  Toby Fitzkee resized and appraised the ring for my insurance company.  It's lovely and I get so many compliments now that I can wear it!  The appraisal is very detailed and was returned quickly.  I'd definitely use this company again.

    I gave Create a Scene a B for punctuality only because I had emailed the information and a picture after I talked to Ruth.  I never heard back from her but I did have fair warning that technology wasn't her cup of tea.  Luckily for me I called her back and she was in the neighborhood and came right by to look at the chair.  She took the fabric I had and the furniture straight away to get started and saved me the trouble (and delivery charge) of getting it out to the workshop.  I had 10 yards of fabric that I had bought a long time ago....it was discontinued so getting more was out of the question.  The fabric is a tapestry design that repeated itself in squares and straight lines so getting everything lined up was critical.  Ruth and George were incredible!  The worked that fabric and got every last inch out of it and had everything lining up beautifully!  Ruth recommended cording for the chair and had not only selected the perfect complementing color, but even dropped off a sample to make sure I was okay with it.  The seat cushion was a bit worn so George worked a little magic and was able to plump it up and with Ruth's sewing, everything looks brand new!  The whole job was done in a week and I could not be happier!  Both are conscientious workers and proud of their craft...as they should be!  All of my future reupholstering will be done with Create A Scene!

    The couch arms, recliner foot stools and about 50% of the cushions needed to be re-finished due to wear after 10 years of use resulting in fading color and some nicks & scratches. 
    Anthony did a fantastic job, he is a true craftsman. My wife came home and saw the finished product and was amazed. Nicks and scratches, all gone! The color of the re-dyed areas match the original color of the couch perfectly. Good as new !

    He did a super job and we were so pleased with the final product. He was helpful in walking us through the processes of combining the gold from the ring and the diamonds from the earring. We felt he was very up front and honest about the cost and pick-up date. The ring was ready ahead of schedule.

    I don't remember the specific date (was in 2014) or the exact cost, but it seemed reasonable.  After several attempts to remove my wedding ring, they had to cut it off.  They did not charge anything, but recommended I wait 6 weeks for my finger to get back to size.  I did wait and when I went back, they were very helpful in determining the correct new size for my rings.  Also recommended fusing engagement ring and wedding ring together (mine had narrow bands) which would help stop it from turning around on my finger.  I did this, and it did help.  Re-sized rings were promised in one week and they were ready on time. They were polite and very professional.
