This is the second big project we've done with REO Service Pro. They finished our basement a few years ago. Both projects were done with quality and professionalism. Gary is very easy to work with. He listens and offers suggestions when needed or appropriate. I also used an interior designer with whom he worked with ease. We had an aggressive time frame for this project and it was met. Our two favorite things about working with Gary and his crew are 1) their quickness in responsiveness and 2) quality control. On multiple occasions I witnessed Gary instructing a crew member to "rip it out and start all over". In our experience with house projects, that is a rarity. Most contractors are okay with mediocre work to save time and effort. As a result, the end product was great. In terms of cost, they may not be your cheapest bid but they won't be your most expensive either. The investment is worth it. I highly recommend REO Service Pro.

    Virginia Top Floors
Ileona and Jose and their team were incredible. This could not have gone any better. Everyone was professional, personable and punctual. We were displaced for a week to give the team time and upon return the floors looked brand new. They paid a lot of time to the small details just to make the job perfect. They kept us updated with photos while the work was being done. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

    Crown Floors
The job went very well. The installers arrived on time and worked steadily. They dealt with a minor unexpected issue with the sub-flooring. They were also very careful moving the furniture and put everything back with our direction. They also reiterated the advantages of this particular flooring and care/maintenance. They used an excellent underlay on the stairwell for the new carpet installation. I can really feel a difference. This is our second job for Crown Floor. We have been pleased both times and will be talking with them again for the next flooring job.

    Crown Floors
First mistake I made was not going with grout. I liked the look without, and was told by the salesperson that they would put a sealer in the seams. Apparently they found out just before-hand that the sealer was no longer offered by the manufacturer, but I was not informed of this until after the install. In the picture attached you can see that the alignment is not pristine (I am extremely fussy on this), and it carried on throughout the entire installation area (though to be honest, it was not very noticeable from standing height). Use of grout may have made this less of a concern. The explanation I got was that the tiles are not uniformly precisely the same size. Not sure I agree with this, and I feel the job may have been rushed. There was a mis-cut tile by my dishwasher that they replaced. Also, the installers did not clean up after the installation as well as you would expect. When all was said and done, I decided to eat the cost and replace the tile with hardwood like the rest of my main level. Again I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and that drove my decision.

Work was great! The total experience from visiting the showroom to final product install was first class. Staff at the store were very helpful and accommodating; I had borrow several samples on multiple occasions and it was never an issue. The install crew was on time, willing/able to answer any/all of my questions, and did a great job with installation. I would 100% hire Crown Floors again for any flooring project!

    Fairfax Kitchen Bath Remodeling
After careful consideration, we went with Fairfax Kitchen Bath Remodeling. They came up with a very good cost effective plan. They suggested to keep the flooring as is, since it was replaced couple years ago by the previous owner. Floor tile was in good shape and we loved that idea. That money saver enabled us to buy a new backsplash tile! Kitchen cabinets were stock line, they are all solid wood cabinets. Drawers are soft close. The counter tops were cleaned and sealed. They used Kohler products as we requested. All of the kitchen area walls were painted a ssemi-glosseggshell white. The whole kitchen looked fantastic!! Go with FKB, they have great ideas and a very professional work ethic!!

    Elegant Floors
It started out ok, pricing was good and Alex seemed nice. We found out fairly quickly that the workmanship and knowledge of the company and crew was very much subpar. Alex laid plain wood and we picked a custom stain to finish. 1. The wood was ordered from lumber liquidators and is of extremely poor quality 2. The stain and paint job was sloppy and we ended up with stain all over our walls and baseboards 3. THEY USED THE WRONG STAIN, and after my wife pointed this out he called her high maintenaince and said he would charge more if he would have known that she would have complaints 4. A few of the planks had chips, nails showing or bubbles in the wood. After replacing them they were stained in a different stain. He offered to come back and fix but we haven't heard from him, so we now have a plank in the middle of our hallway that is colored differently 5. Alex vehemently denied the wood was purchased from lumber liquidators and promised a high quality oak...when the wood arrived it had lumber liquidator stickers on it. All in all the project took forever, was sloppy, low quality done by unskilled laborers. Avoid at all cost!!!

In my ten years as an Interior Designer, I have never encountered such an unprofessional business. Which unfortunately, I had to deal with during renovations to my own house First, the owner, Mojy convinced us to use metal Schluter pieces to finish our tub surround, as opposed to using a bullnose tile. The finished product was not streamlined, as promised, and when pointed out, it was never fixed. As you can see in the photos, they are not set at a 90 degree angle, and the grout work is inconsistent in width. Secondly, the owner suggest the order of work as follows: Demo Tile Floors, Install Tile Floors, Demo Wood Floors, Install Wood Floors, Demo Carpet, have our painter come in paint, Install Carpet. We agreed with the owner, and then he spoke to our painter without our knowledge, changed the schedule of work without speaking to us. Thirdly, the photos of the tile work speak for themselves, but the tile work throughout was unprofessionally done. (Photos) Master Bath: Cracked grout at threshold. Unprofessional installment of threshold. Schluter not aligned with tile and doesn't properly meet at all corners. Unprofessionally finished grout. Cracked grout, grout dried on tile. Uneven and inconsistent grout widths. Guest Bath: Grout between threshold & tile is extremely large. Inconsistent grout widths. Unprofessionally finished grout. Incomplete grout, and unprofessionally finished. Also, dried grout in cabinets. Kitchen: Brand New Sink was ruined, because installers used sink as a janitor's sink. Thick and messy grout lines. Corners and underside of cabinet grout lines. Grout is thick, irregular, rough, and dried on the cabinets and brand new microwave. Fourthly, we asked House of Interiors to send their plumber to fix a water leak, and send us a quote to put the base of the pedestal. We only wanted the quote for the pedestal because the townhouse was under contract, and putting the base of the pedestal sink was in negotiations. Turned out that we didn't need to do it, and that the new owners would take care of the pedestal base. Mojy told the plumber to go ahead and do the work, putting us out another $180. When I spoke to the owner about this, he had the audacity to tell me he had done me a favor. I responded that favors are free, and that this is a business relationship, you can't just spend your clients money without approval. So his response was a threat to go back to the house and undo the work - even though, I told him that we agreed to pay for it, because the work has been completed. Lastly, and this is the icing on the cake... my husband and I moved completely out of the house to CA, prior to all of this work being done. After the conversation regarding the pedestal sink, about a week later, we receive word from our realtor that there is extensive water damage. A fixture in the Master bath had leaked, causing extensive damage throughout all three levels, resulting in +/-$20,000 worth of damage. No one has been in the house since we moved out, except for the contractors. Furthermore, the last to touch the plumbing fixtures in the Master Bathroom, was House of Interiors when they removed the toilet, vanity, and installed new tile and tub surround. Not only are we still incurring costs for all amenities, but we lost the potential sale of the house, and there is water damage that is costing more than the cost of the actual work we had done by House of Interiors. I highly recommend that you stay as far away from this company as possible. They are extremely dishonest, unprofessional, and there work is less than mediocre, at best.

    Masterworks Painters
Spectacular. Exceptional attention to detail. Mike worked with me on every detail. He allowed us to provide the material (we are part of a buying club) and he did the labor. His lead on the job, Robin, was meticulous. Mike and Robin provided excellent guidance and came up with solutions when my first idea was not viable. Their flexibility was essential. My husband usually likes to do projects by himself. He's very picky about finishing touches. After seeing Mike's work, he's happy to defer to him.

    K&K Hardwood Floor Inc
Very pleased and satisfied with K&K Hardwood Floor. I worked with Mike the sales manager. He was a pleasure to work with. He was very prompt with his estimate appointment (if he's running late he will call you) and accurate and fair with the estimate itself. He helped me pick out the perfect floor that matched what I had downstairs 100% and rather than trying to make me buy the 2.25 boards, thankfully he said I should go with the 3.25 ones for just a little more The cost to go with the 3.25 over 2.25 was negligible. I really appreciated that. Other stores were trying to convince me to go with the 2.25 inch boards because that's what they had in stock. No hardwood floor company is going to have all good or all bad reviews. But I am so glad I went with K&K Hardwood. The best part of it all was that I don't feel like I had to pay a premium to get premium service. K&K's price is very reasonable and fair. They might even have one of the lowest, if not lowest price in the region but don't let that be the reason you pick K&K. They really do good work. I'm one happy customer.
