Transmission Service reviews in South Hill

    Carroll's Automotive
Great services always on time as promised. Performed work on each car as requested and did not recommend any non requested services - a first. Even when additional work was identified Carroll's was honest that the work could wait and gave estimates of how long before it would be an issue so we could plan for costs. Have never worked with such honest automotive service and highly recommend.

It went very well. Very nice helpful, professional people that work there. They did a very good job! I didn't expect it to go that well but they went way and beyond. Thank you AAMCO!

    S&S Auto Repair
The service cost a fraction of what anybody else would've of charged me. I was stunned. I can't speak highly enough of him. I have been using him since I got this car. I haven't had any problems at all. He actually had the car ready a day before I had asked him to have it ready.

    Express Auto Service
They stand by their work! This was my first experience with Express Auto Service as I needed a variety of services completed as my vehicle just turned 200,000 miles and I am looking to get at least another 100,000 miles out of it before I purchase another. First off, they have a loaner car, and as a big guy, they had a full size loaner, so that greatly aided in the logistics of being without my vehicle for a couple days. The work was done in two days, which I think is very good considering the laundry list they were doing. Everything was done well and my vehicle ran great and rode much better with the new shocks and struts. The next day, there was an issue with my radiator, so I had to take the vehicle back by there. Ordinarily, this would be a great reason to give a negative review, but it is all in how a business reacts to these types of things that means the most. After a brief discussion, with Roger (very polite, knowledgeable and professional), Express Auto Service replaced my radiator, 100 percent free of parts and no labor expense. As Roger told me, "we stand by our work"......and that is exactly what they did. I will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks!

    Yorktown Transmissions
These people are probably the most HONEST people I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. They put up with this grouchy old man because I was a little impatient. The transmission had a few issues that were no fault of the rebuild personnel.  They stayed with the issues until they were resolved. They gave me a Cost effective and Quality rebuild. I would highly recommend Yorktown Transmissions

I was sure that my transmission was shot! I was preparing for the worst $2000&up for transmission work. Lee the owner/operator took the car for a ride and followed the codes which indicated Mass Air Flow Sensor Failure. He replaced the sensor and still had problems, he did another magic little test of removing one of the exhaust sensors to check if converter was blocked. It was, he replaced the converter and associated pipes. Car runs great and transmission is smooth again.. Lee told me he would have been surprised if Transmission was out because I had regularly changed filter since new. He test drove it and gave it a clean bill of health. On Saturday (3 days later) he called me to ask if everything was doing ok. Here's a little country shop doing any and all types of auto repair but specializing in Transmissions while caring enough to follow up on their repairs. Also I would like to note that He offered to exchange the new Mass Air Flow Sensor to the original because he figured the old one was only misreading because of the blocked converter. I opted to not do it because the new one was working so well. If I had opted I could have saved about $130.00. Not many garages would even offer something like that.
