    After an initial basic vision test (done by a pleasant assistant as part of my intake procedure), Dr. Garrett examined both my eyes for cataracts, as well as checking my retinas closely (I had had both retinas detach about 30 years ago and surgically repaired at the time).   Dr. Garrett confirmed the cataracts and discussed with me the probable course the disease would take, as well as covering the treatments available.  He stressed that, in my case, treatment at its current stage was optional, and discussed the alternatives of either having it cone immediately or deferring it until a later time.  While he presented all the information I needed to make an informed decision, he made it clear that it was MY decision to make, not his.  I was very pleased with both his communication skills, his overall attitude, and his apparent technical expertise.

    It was excellent.  He staff was efficient and we were in and out in only 35 minutes from the time we walked in the door, and that included registration, new patient orientation, tests, examinations and complete discussion.  He offered additional help that had not been previously offered and discussed potential options.  His manner and that of his staff were all outstanding.  Professional, friendly and competent.  Not only will be taking her back there from now on, but my wife and I will be transferring to him this next year.

    Had an eye exam and bought my frames and lenses for both regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses. Regular glasses were Nautica brand and the sunglasses were Raybans so the over price really was not too bad.  After awhile I noticed that I really did not like the progressive lens and I took my glasses back and told them about it and they fixed it for me free of charge.  I plan on using their services again for future eye exams.

    It was good. The only thing about them is that the waiting times are very long. That's the one thing I struggle with there. They just over book. The staff is friendly under the conditions they have to operate with so many patients. My biggest complaint is just that you just don't get in in a timely fashion because there are just so many people there. You have to wait an hour or so. That gets odd.

    Dr. Kurz took great care to explain the procedure in great detail. He even followed up and called me at home to ask if I had thought of any further questions after the office visit. He even provided additional details on certain aspects of the procedures that he felt needed additional clarification. Come the day of the procedure, the entire staff worked like a precision clock ... everything went off without a hitch. After the procedure, when I was home, Dr Kurz followed up with a phone call to make sure I was comfortable and to inquire if I had any concerns or quesitons. Overall, I have to give Dr Kurz and the entire staff outstanding marks. My post operative experience was EXACTLY as the doctor detailed to me. I am extremely pleased with the results of my surgery. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Kurz to others comtemplating vision correction. Well Done Dr. Kurz and Staff!!

    It takes awhile when you have an appointment for an exam. Usually I plan on two hours. One good thing is there is coffee and cookies. One time I wanted to say they should have sandwiches at lunchtime. Anyways, it's a large waiting room with tables, alot of chairs, big windows, tv and nearby restroom. Pleasant enough. The surgery center was in Chesapeake and they were quite swift in getting me ready for the two big days of surgery. People were nice and chit-chatted and attended to me efficiently. Dr. Scoper has a wonderful attitude, a happy person who introduced himself again and did a great job of eyes.

    I have an eye problem where you get double vision crossed vision. She initially helped me a lot. She is possibly going to do some surgery for me in July to correct something that are wrong. It is a very busy practice and sometimes a couple of visits I felt like I was a bit rushed. She has he staff or assistant do the tests. I think she does the best she can to answer your questions with a busy practice. I would recommend her. Sometimes it is hard to get an appointment. She relys on this once a year appointment but maybe she knows things that I don't know.
