  • I moved to Bluemont in 2004 and began using the services of Dr. Grady when his office opened in Round Hill. I believe Dr. Grady is a good dentist and I have no complaints about his work. I have had several thousand dollars of work done by him over the years which is out of pocket since I don’t have dental insurance. I went to visit him in August 2017 for a toothache. They took an x-ray and he did a visual examination. I was in his office about 10 minutes. I was charged $150, which seemed pretty expensive. He referred me to an endodontist, Dr. Canby, whom I saw about an hour after leaving Dr. Grady’s office. Again, there was an x-ray, a visual exam, a total of about 10 minutes. Dr. Canby charged me $60, which seemed reasonable. I thought it odd and surprisingly excessive that a DDS would charge two and a half times what a specialist would charge for exactly the same service and amount of time spent. I discussed this with the oral surgeon the endodontist referred me to and he recommended another dentist who was close to where I live, but also said there was a benefit in staying with Dr. Grady in that he had my history and was familiar with the work he had done. Taking this advice to heart, on December 19, 2017 I went to see Dr. Grady again for a toothache and to have a crown ground down a little. He found two cavities, which he filled, and he spent about 10 minutes grinding the crown. I expected the bill would be $200-300. I was shocked when the receptionist presented me with a bill for $939! The next day, the 20th, I called his office and asked to speak with Dr. Grady about the bill. The receptionist said she would have him return my call. He never returned my call. In the meantime I checked with the dentist the endodontist had recommended and went over Dr. Grady’s bill with her line by line for each service to see what this dentist would charge for doing the same work, based on the descriptions on Dr. Grady's invoice. Instead of $939, her charge would have been $537. So Dr. Grady’s bill was almost 43% higher than another dentist, recommended by my oral surgeon, a difference of over $400 for the same work! In January of 2018 my wife went to Dr. Grady’s office for a cleaning. When he came in to check on her she told him I had been waiting for him to return my call for several weeks. He told her he never got the message and would surely call me back. Again, he never called me back. So now it’s been over two months waiting for Dr. Grady to discuss this bill with me. He apparently has no interest in doing that. My wife and I were moving out of the country and so I made one final attempt at calling his office a few days before we left and spoke with the receptionist about the bill. She told me there would be no adjustment and I still was not put in touch with Dr. Grady. My wife and I are retired and live on a limited income. I don’t expect a discount because we are retired. But I certainly don’t expect to have to pay hundreds of dollars extra to a doctor who then refuses to even discuss the bill with me. After being his patient for somewhere near 10 years, and having spent several thousand dollars for his services, I find this treatment unprofessional and unacceptable and do not recommend Dr. Grady unless you are OK with paying exorbitant pricing with no option of discussing it with the doctor if you are unhappy. I was in business myself for 40 years in Northern Virginia and would never dream of treating a long-time customer, or any customer, in this way. He had three opportunities to discuss this with me and three times he declined. Three strikes. You're out, Dr. Grady.

  • Dr. Sharif is personable and very good at what she does.  At each appointment she listens well to everything I have to say about how I feel and what has happened since our last appointment, but she takes detailed notes on everything no matter how insignificant it might seem.  She also provides a written documentation for you to take home at the end of the appointment on what you discussed, any treatments she is giving you and anything she wants you to do before your next appointment.  She is constantly reviewing her notes and has called me both during and after office hours to discuss something I had told her that seemed unimportant at the time, but now looks like a piece of the puzzle in my treatment.  She seems very caring and concerned and is a dog with a bone when it comes to solving the health issues of her patients.  My health issues are a special situation, so was not surprised she spends extra time with me, but this is how Dr. Sharif is with all her patients because I have referred friends and they say the same thing to me.

  • Dr. Sigal at the Austin-Weston Center did my breast augmentation 6 years ago. I constantly get compliments when I say that they were augmented. Everyone thinks they are so natural and real. I'm 5'4, 120lbs. and was a 34B. I'm now a 32DDD. I chose Dr. Sigal because my consultation was so thorough. He did measurements, let me "try on" sizes and recommended what was right for my frame. Six years later I am now 3 months out from my tummy tuck. I've had 3 kids via c-section and I couldn't get rid of my belly fat. It's the best thing I did next to my breasts. Dr. Sigal is very confident and a capable surgeon but also has the most amazing bed side manner. He's like my family!!!

  • During the treatments with Dr. Will my daughter was calm and relaxed. After several weeks of treatment, my daughter regained complete mobility of her neck and her flat spot resolved. Today she is a healthy 8 year old with no neck issues! I recommend Dr. Will for infant and adult chiropractic care.

  • Dr. Canby told me that, although he agreed with my dentist that a root canal should be done before replacing the crown, he thought that the margins of the gum on the tooth were so low that in a couple of years I would have problems. He explained that the  better course would be to have a surgeon extract the tooth now and have another specialist working with my dentist replace the tooth with an implant.  He put in a temporary filling and I went home to think about it.
    I am glad I took the advice Dr. Canby' gave me two years ago. Not only did I avoid the pain and expense of an unnecessary root canal, I have a new tooth that is 100 percent good. If I do need a root canal sometime, I know who I'll be going to.

Dr. Zarrinfar recommended me to an outstanding endodontist when I needed a root canal. We are thoroughly pleased with our experiences at his office and could not give him and his staff a higher recommendation.

  • My appointment was with Abby. WOW, was she wonderful. At times I thought there were 2 people giving me a massage. She is highly trained and was very careful around my knee replacements. She communicated with me very well and if she was using too much pressure all I had to do was tell her. It was funny going into an office building, but as soon as I opened the door to Hideaway, it felt like it was a hidden treasure. Lights were dimmed, soft music, decor was perfect. The treatment room was clean, large, warm and nicely decorated. I didn't feel like I was in an and quot;officeand quot; building at all. I have already made my next appt.
    My low rating for billing is because I had a gift certificate, but when I used it there was some mix up in their system and it showed that I had a low balance remaining on the gift certificate. The GC is for 3 massages, and it was my first visit. Abby was great though, she made a copy of the GC and wrote down the date of my massage and said that someone in the office would figure it out. I hope I don't have a problem when I go to my next appt.

  • Each time I visited Dr. Canby's office i was seen very quickly. The staff at the office are professional, easy going and very nice to work with. The doctor is great. He communicates with you in language that's understandable about the necessary treatment process and possibilities. Very relaxed and quot;chair sideand quot; manner too.
    On top of this the way he runs the practice is, in my opinion, pretty rare in our modern post - recession economy.
    The other day an envelope arrived from his office. I thought it was a bill that had something to do with how my insurance paid and that I owed him a few more dollars. Upon opening it up, I realized my mistake. Enclosed was a check for the amount I paid for the root canal. The doctor sent me a full refund because I had to have the tooth he worked on extracted. I didn't call his office and ask. I never even thought to ask, after all he did do what he could to help me. So, THANK YOU Dr. Canby!
    All said and done I don't want anymore root canals but for others who may be looking or in need of a referral here you go.
