    In 2009 I spent more than $10,000 on Gutter Helmet. Recently the ice got under the flashing that attaches to the roof and then snow and ice slide under the flashing bending it up. I called gutter helmet to come out to repair under warranty and they said we didn���t install your gutter helmet. so I dug through 10 yrs of records to find the purchase order and gave them the information. In the mean time we have more snow and ice and the weight of it , because of the bent flashing acts like a dam ,starts to pull the fascia off the house. They said someone would be out in three weeks to examine the situation. He will call an hour in advance. On the date the guy just shows up no call in advance and starts making up stories about computer glitch and reason for no call. Then he wants to charge me almost $4000 to fix the problem because the fascia board coming off caused the problem. I told him the fascia board is a result of the problem Three lies on one job is below zero stars. It has been a terrible experience dealing with these people

    He did the work, charges well and got it all done. Actually, he was really nice, because I was going to get fancier gutters and he said I didn?t really need them. He saved me money.
    He put in new downspouts, new gutters, new everything we really needed. He solved a real difficult problem, because my gutters were overflowing & he told me I didn?t have enough downspouts. So, he gave me 2 more downspouts.

    It was the best home repair we've ever experienced. We've been in this home 20 years and have had countless repair companies with varying degrees of success. PJ gave us a great price, gave us great suggestions that we had not thought of, scheduled it quickly, and arrived exactly on time. His crew was wonderful. At the end of the shingle removal on day one, EVERYTHING was cleaned up and all the debris was gone. They accidentally let the dog out and then killed themselves to get him back.  The job was completed on time with no additional or hidden costs. It went amazingly well. I cannot even express how happy we are with the work. I guess it's because we and everyone is so used to the opposite experience, that I am still shocked.

    Roofer911 came out to inspect the work and prepare an estimate. Steve listened to us describe our problem, asked a few questions and then conducted his inspection. He was very professional. Using his infrared sensor he examined the leak and while the stain was evident on the ceiling, he told us it was dry at the time of the inspection. He then began to look for a possible source and was able to determine it was coming from a torn vent boot on the roof. He showed and explained what he was doing at every point along the way. I was so impressed by the infrared sensor that I had him check a few places in the house where we had previous leaks that had been repaired and he was able to validate that the repairs were good. We then showed him a stain in the kitchen which we had been led to believe was the result of rain being blown up in to the eaves during one of our storms. He inspected the stain and surrounding area to include the floor above and outside. He was able to determine the source as separated caulking around the dryer vent and a crack in the siding a few feet above the kitchen. 

    In the outdoor inspection, I pointed out a spot where the flashing was separated from the chimney and Steve put that on the list. He also pointed out that we had a long and slightly sagging gutter on the back side of the house that might also be contributing to our problems as the water would be filling up the gutter in the area of the sag and then back flowing through mount points.

    We agreed the estimate would include repairing the torn vent boot and the other two on the roof which we agreed would fail soon enough, the missing shingles and flashing, the spot where the chimney meets the roof, the dryer vent, and the sagging gutter.

    He completed his estimate promptly, emailed it to us and we elected to proceed. His team arrived on time and were very professional. I watched in awe as they worked two stories up as easily as you and i walk the sidewalk. They repaired all of the vent boots. I am a bit of a handyman myself and I was impressed with how they dissembled the surrounding shingles and old boot and then reassembled the new boot and sealed it all. BTW - the new boot was a high quality aluminum base instead of the old rubber boot that had dried out and cracked. They repaired the shingles and flashing in similar fashion. When they tackled the separated flashing around the chimney, they determined a more complete repair was needed to do the job right. Without asking me or suggesting an increased cost, Steve's crew expanded the scope of work to ensure a quality repair and proceeded to fix it right. A lessor contractor would not have fixed the problem right or stopped work while they demanded more money to fix it. Had it been a significant job, I would have expected to pay more but in this case, Roofer911 just went ahead and fixed it right.  I appreciated their commitment to quality work. The crew then patched the dryer vent and small crack in its vicinity and then lowered our gutter about 1/2" on one end to take out the sag and ensure a good flow toward the downspout. They also patched another crack that Steve and I had not noticed.

    Afterwards, Roofer911 cleaned every bit of scrap and ensured I was happy with their work. I inspected the old vent boots and found the original culprit dried out and torn with the other two right behind.

    I was very pleased with the work and my experience dealing with Roofer911 and recommend them highly.

    Gutterman Services contacted me right away.  Even sent a personal email to me, not from the company.  They notified me that the materials would be dropped off the day before installation and on the day of installation they were very clean and did an amazing job.  Even on my old house the new gutters blend right in and look like they were meant to be there.  Its rained a lot since we installed them and they work wonderfully!  So impressed and would recommend them to anyone but especially someone with an old house.  The only thing I did not like was that they only gave about 24 hours notice to schedule the install date.  They explained that they did this so that they didn't schedule installs on days when it rained, then they would have to reschedule lots of folks but it gave me very little time to notify my employer that I would be working from home that day.
    Overall, they did an amazing job at a fair price.

    At the end of October, I called Gutterman Services to have them come to our house and identify why our gutters held water and overflowed during moderate storms.  I was told they would call to make an appointment when someone was available.  Two weeks later Gutterman Services called and told me the day and time frame someone would be out to look at the gutters.  On the day of the appointment, the service employee did not show up at designated time.  Apparently he arrived earlier than expected, but failed to leave a card or any information.  A week later,  I got a bill from Gutterman Services.  When I called to ask what the bill was for, they advised me that their employee had done the inspection of my gutters on the scheduled day.  When I informed their employee Katie that I was home at the scheduled time and never saw anyone from her company look at the gutters, she advised me she would have the employee who inspected the gutter system call me.  It took several more days for this to happen.  When it did, Mr. Rodriguez-Sawao advised me of what he saw as the problem with the gutter system, and his recommendation on how to fix it.  After listening to his recommendations, I asked for a written report of what he saw during his inspection and an estimate on correcting the problems.  This took several requests and weeks to obtain.  I was frustrated because I thought that was why I was charge the $75.  They advertise free estimates, but I wanted them to tell me why the gutters were not working correctly.  We have not had the gutters fixed yet, but we are not confident in hiring Gutterman Services to do the work after the initial experience we have had with them.

    MacBeth Exteriors visited our home and met with my husband and me. Upon inspection of the gutters and roof, they spent a lot of time discussing what could be done, what was the right approach and how they would handle it. It was clear they have a great understanding of old homes. When they arrived, one of the men who estimated the job stayed and worked the entire job with the crew, so we knew they knew what needed to be done. They communicated throughout the day on their progress and even worked late to complete the job, rather than coming another day. They checked with us to ensure their working late wouldn't bother us.
