    Stone River
Mo and his team are amazing. They were professional, respectful and competent. We couldn't be happier with the work that they did. They even helped us to finish off a project that another contractor had started and didn't finish. We look forward to working with them again.

    Capital Garage Works
It turned out fine. My neighbor used them after we used them. It took 1 day. I talked to 5 other companies and I liked their price and product. Only 1 guy came out. Somebody else was supposed to meet him but he ended up doing it all by himself. I felt bad for him, poor guy.

    Hartley Home Exteriors
The garage was quickly dismantled and all the debris was carried away. The new garage looks so nice and matches our house, which the old garage did not. We have had a lot of wonderful compliments on the new garage.

    Hartley Home Exteriors
My husband and I solicited 6 different quotes for our basement project. Of those quotes, Hartley was about half the cost of the other contractors while still maintaining a superior work product. We hired them to do the framing, electrical, plumbing, tile, carpet, drywall, etc. They built out a bathroom from our existing rough-in & also added a small kitchenette/wet bar.Our basement was completely unfinished with only a few lights/outlets & insulation on the walls. They were very prompt to respond to our questions and changes (we had a lot of them mid-project). At one point my husband and I noticed a few electrical outages in the upper portion of our home. We thought it might have to do with the electrical work that was done. So, I wrote Brian an e-mail on July 4 & received a quick response and in a matter of hours he was at our house & had everything working and checked out. The best part is- the "issues" weren't anything to do with our basement remodel. He helped us fix other issues that weren't even part of the project AND ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND! I have already recommended them to friends and neighbors and will continue to do so. Whether you are just building out your basement or building your entire home from the ground up, make Hartley your first call. You will be very glad you did!

    Salzano Custom Concrete
We worked with president CJ Salzano. He came to our house to provide a quote then helped us over the next few weeks with the design. The work was completed on time and within the quoted price.

    Testa Asphalt Paving Inc
I scheduled this service twice. The first time I forgot they were coming and was not home, although no one needed to be home for them to do the sealing. I sent a message via Angie's List apologizing for not being home but never received a response. I called and from the conversation, I don't think they showed up anyway. I rescheduled for another day during that phone call. I called a couple days before to confirm and the lady I spoke with said they would be there one of 2 days. I told her I wouldn't be home on one of the days and she said that was fine and we talked about how long I needed to stay off the driveway, etc. I came home the day after the work was to be done, and it had not been done. I received no message or phone call to tell me they couldn't come. I am not going to reschedule again and am going to request a refund.

    Art Masonry Inc.
We had Joe from Art Masonry Inc last winter design and build our fire place wall. His design style and idea were only matched by his attention to detail and quality work. We could not be more pleased with Joe. We had numerous other quotes but as soon as we meet Joe we knew he was the mason for us. Throughout the process he offered suggestions but also to into consideration our input. He installed real stone not stone vendor each stone was hand chiseled to fit perfectly in a dry stack. Even with is unbelievable attention to detail he stay on time and budget. Can not recommend Joe and Art Masonry Inc enough!!!

    Andrew's Garage Door Repair LLC
Great job, arrived on time, messaged me that he was on his way (probably should have called since I didn't get the email until after he left, but no big deal, he came within the time range he had promised).  Even had to saw a piece of wood in order to make the rail fit and didn't charge extra for that.  Door works great!

    Beitzell Fence Co
When I described what I wanted over the phone, he approximated the cost in the $350 range, but would have to see the space in person, which I totally understand. We set an appointment. Patrick arrived on time. We discussed that I wanted it to at the top of the stairs, he said he would have to write an estimate based on measurements, etc., but that it would be more expensive because it required a second post and the gate needed to be fabricated. I understood. I expressed that I was hoping to minimize the appearance of it being a secondary add on. I was hoping that it wouldn't be as obvious. When we discussed it my understanding was that it would be closer to the existing iron fence - trying to fit it under the railing. I thought that there was a mutual understanding of this. It seems we left this conversation with different interpretations.
The estimate came back at $610, which I felt was high. But it seemed he understood exactly what I was hoping to do, so I went ahead with and gave them a 50% deposit. They were originally supposed to install the gate on March 27th. They pushed it back and asked to do it the following Friday. I said I wouldn't be there. They assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I should have known better. Lack of judgement on my part, which I totally accept. The gate is not at all close to the existing rail. It is not even centered to line up with the existing railing, which absolutely should have been done. Being un-centered gives it no hope of "blending in".
When I called to express that I wasn't happy with the gate. Karen, who I believe is an owner, did not even make any suggestions as to how the situation could be made right. I called back today and was put in touch with Patrick. He claims that he had no such understanding from our initial conversation. He was confrontational and then flat out rude and insulting. I told him that the gate wasn't what I thought it would be, and that Liz in their office had said that it had to be moved further away from the fence/rail to avoid a huge gap on the top step. I said that I guess I could understand that, but had I known I may not have opted to put the gate in. My big issue is that there was not attempt to center it and the whole gate - posts and all - wobbles when you move it with your hand with very no real force. I feel the cost is excessive for what was delivered. Then he tried to say that I wasn't there. I said that I told his schedulers I wouldn't be available that day. What I found really hard to believe was when he tried to pin the placement issue on another contractor that was working on the interior of our home. Patrick stated that this third party didn't know where it should be placed. My response was that wasn't his job and he was never asked to manage it. Patrick finally suggested that the post could be moved to be centered with the existing railing section. I was concerned that the hole left in the concrete would be very obvious when patched. He claimed that he could patch it and it wouldn't be obvious. I said are you sure because patched concrete is usually obvious. Then he said to me, "I don't know what you're worried about as bad as it looks back there with your cracked concrete." I cut him off and told him, "There is no need to be rude and insulting. I have been cordial to you. It is not professional, and I have already gotten bids to have the walkout painted." There is one small crack... he was overstating it. He was as unprofessional as you could imagine. I told him that comment landed him a bad review on Angie's list.
They have agreed to trying to center the posts, but I am not sure I want them to. I have not made final payment and will look into my options. I would never recommend this company.

    Long Fence
I truly want to close this out since the 3 board vinyl paddock fence was installed around May 2014.
List of Issues, simply because of poor workmanship and do not care attitude:
The mesh fencing was not tight and loose with minimum fasteners to hold it. It took about 1 week to get this solved
Installed the incorrect gates. With multiple visits and ordering the wrong material several times this was solved after 4 months.
We needed approximately 60+ feet moved (10 post) since it was on my neighbors property about 1-2 feet (new community). The fence on my neighbors property has been moved, but opened more issues. Yesterday, I asked two guys who moved the existing post and reused them on Saturday, the 10 post that were moved are not solid and be can be moved back and forth 3-6 inches? Response, It takes two weeks to settle. The post were installed in May 2014 never experience this issue since the bottom of the post do not have quick concrete on them. Reusing the existing post maybe the cause of the wobbly fence post. The mesh fencing was removed and were being held by screw fasteners. Reused the existing mesh fencing has broken links and did not reuse the same screw fasteners holes, so now all existing 27 boards have 9 to 12 holes and the post have the same issues. Lastly, reinstall of the mesh fencing is not tight, loose with gaps between the mesh and vinyl fence.
I believe the process has been long simply because of poor workmanship, especially when comparing the same type of fence with my neighbors and used different companies.
I would not recommend this company even to people that I dislike. It is ridiculous it almost 5 months and project still is not complete. Suppose to be talking to quality control supervisor next week.
