    Cramer, Dr. Jill
I'm a multiple-sclerosis patient and I've been seeing Dr. Kramer for seven years. She's brilliant and she does not hesitate to take time to answer every question you need to ask her whether it's major or minor. She's even called me at home to answer a question. I am on treatment. We've chosen this path together which is one reason I chose her because I was with another doctor that I wasn't satisfied with; but he no longer practices in Roanoke. She'll tell you the truth. You can't just read stuff on the internet and go in there and tell her you want to do this or you want to do that; I've never done that. She's probably one of the best informed physicians that I've ever had. I would absolutely continue to use her in the future, wouldn't have anyone else. One other thing she does, if she thinks you need something that your insurance denies, she calls them up herself. She's very proactive.

    Sherman, Dr. Howard B.
Dr Hormel set a standard for patient care that several other neurologists have failed to live up to, so I drive a long way to continue to see Dr Hormel. The patient with Parkinsons should be checked for eye movement (follow finger), gait and posture, handwriting, speech, emotional state, balance, behavior in general (depression, obsessive compulsiveness, etc) and other factors. When a neurologist does not have much experience with Parkinsons, they don't go through these reviews of the patient's well being. These neurologists waste the patients' time if they don't check on the progression of the disease. Dr Hormel does a great job. I am doing everything I can to stay active and healthy, partially due to his guidance.

    Cramer, Dr. Jill
I met her at a symposium where she was the speaker, and then switched all my neurological care to her, as she is addresses any issues that arise without delay, she is highly intelligent, and she is exceedingly well informed about MS. Moreover, she is very holistic and treats the person with the disease instead of just the disease. She cares about her patients and goes the extra mile. She answers all questions in detail. I have the highest respect for her! My husband, who spent a lifetime in a medical field, thinks she is awesome.

    Valley Neurology
I have seen Dr. Hormel at Valley Neurology for over 20 years for migraine headaches, carpal tunnel, and other neurological issues. There is none better. He provides a more thorough examination in 15 minutes than any other physician. He is always on time and has a wonderful bedside manner.

I didn't have a very good experience with Dr. Nack. He didn't have a very positive attitude and wasn't very friendly.
