    Hometown Garage Doors
They came out the same day, identified the issues, had parts on the truck, and fixed the door, all in one visit. A competitor's site said they could do do it in one day since they carried parts while others did not, but they couldn't even get to my house for three days.

I spoke with an office person who apologized and said he would get the message to Jeff asap and would get back with us, 2 weeks have passed, I left another message on Jeff's cell, still nothing. I am not going to be someone to pay them my hard earned money, the decency of a response is expected. If you want a professional, expedient response, I recommend you look elsewhere.

As for my experience I was over charged and left with the door in worse shape than before they came out. They were called to fix a noisy door and replace the bottom seal. I had an extra strut from another garage door so they put that on the door to fix the noise and they replaced the seal. Youre looking at maybe a dozen self-tapping screws and 20 minutes of work. This was $240 dollars! I got robbed. To make the matters worse when testing the garage door it was getting caught on the left side when going down. The technician didnt know what that was and recommended me getting new pulleys and another new strut but said it would be $450 more to do that. Obviously I told them no because of what they charged for the seal. I had another company come out and all it was, the track needed to be adjusted back 1/8 of an inch because with the strut he added and the seal it was causing the door to catch the exterior wall. So if I would have taken his recommendation to fix the issue I would have blown another $450 dollars. These guys dont know what they are doing and will without a question overcharge you. For me, with the tech leaving the door the way it was and it starting to hit the exterior wall on the way down it caused cracks in my sections and Im now in the process of having to get the entire door replaced. Please let my awful experience with this company have a bright side to it and do not call them. They are well-known in the industry for over charging people. I have received several quotes on new doors from 4 other companies and all of them said they take advantage of people and do sorry work. Its just the flat out truth.

    Hall's Garage Doors
We have a 1950s vintage home.  The heavy manual lift-up garage door used two metal tracks with rollers, cables and pullies, and metal springs to open.  One of the springs snapped and jammed the door.  We went looking for a garage door service for the needed  repairs, and found Hall's on Angie's List.  We checked the BBB as well and Hall's website, and the company  appeared established and reputable.  I called and spoke with Terry Millirons, who was very down-to-earth easy to talk to, and though it was a Friday and late in the day, he took the time needed to understand the type of door and the problem we had.  I asked what it would cost for the needed repair and he indicated about $55.00 for the replacement springs and $90.00 for the labor.  I felt this was reasonable and we set a date for the the following week for the repair, which was to be done by one of their works named Jamie.  Jamie arrived the day and at the time we expected.  Jamie told us about the options for repairing the doors, including replacing the springs as we had discussed with Terry and some other options.  One option involved installing a tortion spring assembly.  This was more expensive but my wife and I thought this would be more suitable, so we went with that.  There was no pressure on us, and Jamie was prepared to make whichever repair we chose.  He indicated a $210.00 price, to which we were agreeable and he went to work on the door.  It took longer to repair due to the construction of our garage and where the framing was located for anchoring the parts.  Once finished, the door worked well and easily.   With us satisfied with the job, Jamie collected his tools and materials, cleaned up and said they'd send us the bill.  It arrived a few days later and was for the agreed-on $210.00 plus $6.00 tax.  Again, the repair had taken about twice as long as anticipated, but Hall's had charged the agreed-on price.  So, we were very satisfied with the service, and continue to be with the door's operation.  If we consider replacing the door in the future with a motorized remote control door, we will certainly consider Hall's for the job.

    Hometown Garage Doors
In 2013 I bought garage doors from Hometown.  I have had to have them back at least 6 times to repair or adjust the doors.  Twice the doors have come completely off track, 3 days ago on the coldest night of the year my door again fell completely off track and would not close - 4 foot gap at bottom and large gap at top.  I began trying to reach them Saturday at 6p  for their promised 24/7 service.  Finally got someone on the phone Monday morning at 8 a.  I am still waiting (Tuesday 2:15p) for someone to show up and fix the door.  Service tech could not get to me late yesterday due to snow and that was understandable..However if they had picked up my weekend messages and put me on the schedule for Monday morning, snow would not have been an issue.  Service tech promised to call me today to check status of road....have not heard from him although called and left a message about 11a that everything was accessible.  No response and after 3 calls today (to tech's cell and 2 to their office) I am just about to give up.
On Monday they claimed that they were having trouble with their phone provider....however they used that same excuse about a year ago when I tried to reach them on a weekend.   On Tuesday they promised to get back to me before end of day to set up time for tech to arrive....never heard back from them.
I have rarely experienced such inadequate customer service.  I am actually considering buying new doors from a different provider and starting all over.  This was my $3000 mistake.
I would strongly advise anyone considering new garage doors to choose anyone other than Hometown Garage Doors.  I cannot recommend them at all.

    Dollman Construction, Inc
Excellent work, well designed, clean, modern, and very prompt work. Cabinets are beautiful, tile floor, granite top, and a desk and an office are next to  kitchen.
I am very satisfied with the work and finished product!

    Hall's Garage Doors
We had received a quote from another company that seemed very high. This other company wanted to replace every moving part on the door and charge us for each individual part.
We called Hall's and they sent someone out the next day. They explained their fees and what they planned to do. I could tell immediately that they were going to be less expensive so I told them to go ahead. They replaced both garage door springs, installed safety cables and replaced two hinges that were worn. The door was noticeably quieter when it opens and closes.
My only complaint is that I would have like to have received their price estimate in writing before they started work. I was still happy with the price when I did get the final bill.

    The Door Doctor
I asked and received a price to replace my existing garage door opener that was malfunctioning.   I asked to replace with a like unit.  The service was performed on the day scheduled.  When I arrived home I discovered the unit was an off brand unit that was not of the same quality as my existing unit.  I contacted Mark Bauman of the Door Doctor to inquire if they carry Liftmaster (the brand that was replaced).  They did carry this type.  I informed Mark that I was not satisfied with the unti his company installed and wanted the unit like that which was replaced.  I was then informed that they could do this but would charge $100.00 to remove their unit and also charge me a restocking fee of 15%.  I would then also be charged a second installation for the Liftmaster unit.   This company certainly does not have a customer satisfaction guarantee.

These AMAR doors were installed about six months ago....I have had to ask for service at least 4 times....often the problem was not resolved and my concerns were "dismissed".  The technician was supposed to arrive last night between 7 and 9 because a bolt has fallen off the doors (again) and it is not closing tightly.  He did not come and no one called.  When I tried to reach the company, repeatedly between 8:30 and 9:15, I got a voice mail,  This morning the person who answered the phone said they had 24 hour answering and no voice mail!

Joe showed up for an estimate with brochures and information on several options for installation of new garage doors. Explained in detail the process and time frame it would take to install new doors. Made me and my wife feel comfortable in our decision and demonstrated his expertise as we chose different options for a quote. Contacted me promptly once doors arrived & set a time to install. Showed up promptly ready to work. Noticed a defect in doors & glass as he was installing doors. Called dealer to order new parts (at no additional cost of course). Provided written commitment to return to install damaged panels & glass but completed job as best he could at that time. Returned within two weeks and completed job. Excellent work and cleanup!
