    DF Building Inc
Highest praise for DF Building! Not only is their work meticulous and beautiful, but I found them to be friendly, neat, honest, and fairly priced. After interviewing several contractors for our two story brick addition, we hired DF Building. We were so pleased with their work, we hired them for several other major remodels without considering other contractors. Their work is consistently on point. We have recommended DF Building to family and friends who have gone on to hire them with the same positive results. If we have further need for contractors, DF Building is the only one we will consider. We are very happy customers! A+++++++

    Appalachian Building Concepts
We hired Appalachian Building Concepts a few years ago for a Bathroom re-model and were thrilled with the results. Mike was the first person I thought of when we were discussing the new projects noted, this time for our in-laws who recently moved in with us. Having worked with Mike and Lou before I knew we might have to wait for another job to finish, but I knew their work was quality, so we were willing to do so. Fortunately, they had an opening in the schedule that we happily filled. My grade of A on the price I must qualify by saying that while Appalachian Building Concepts isn't the cheapest, they use quality materials, and the company does quality work. I must also note that our project came in under what he quoted us, which is always a nice thing for a customer. For the discerning customer who reads these reviews, please also understand that sometimes there are unexpected complications that are encountered on-the-job, that weren't counted on in the initial pricing. For this reason, you may want to consider the quote a "best estimate" rather than an exact figure - having worked with more than a few contractors, this isn't unusual, but I can say I've only ever known Applachian Building Concepts to be fair and honest in their business with me and my family with regard to price. Mike knows this, but for the sake of this review, yes, I'd absolutely hire again and plan to do so soon. We are very happy with the new vinyl fence - this was the first item completed, and gives us an extra option for the dogs (ours and our in-laws') with concern to extra space for them to wander without wandering off, while also providing great curb appeal. The job also entailed installing a shower and Washer/Dryer hookup where none previously existed, so some plumbing was required - We're very happy with the end result, and Appalachian Building Concepts also fixed some previous plumbing such that our workroom sink drain is now hidden instead of just emptying into a floor drain from a PVC pipe. We also had Applalachian Building Concepts put in a new Kitchenette with Sink for our in-laws. It has transformed what was just a large living room into a true "in-law suite" for my wife's parents. Lastly, to make all this work, we had to move our electric master panel over to another room approximately 10 feet away from where it was, and upgrade the service. This part was subcontracted, but Mike managed to find from a previous working relationship on our behalf an electrician who could not only do the job at a great price compared to the other two quotes he got, but could start right away, whereas the other electricians wouldn't be able to start for weeks. Overall, highly satisfied, and would recommend to anyone looking for these types of projects.

    Seal-Tite Basement Waterproofing Co
Three men arrived on time they were courteous professional and worked hard! My only suggestion, prior to leaving the premises when the job is completed meet with the customer to see if they have any questions. I had to remind them when they were getting ready to leave I needed to pay them for their services! Would I hire them again you bet. Hard workers!

    James Barton
We contacted James in April 2017, needed waterproofing and finishing BM (water breach). Initially prompt and professional. Demo'd wet dry wall and abated mold. During furniture cleanup for mold, it started raining. He was 80 percent finished, left and never came back to complete. He did come back to collect $6000 for the demo and cleanup. We called repeatedly but he never returned to rebuild the basement which he had demolished. He said he was busy and would call us when he was available. Never heard back. We called again in Fall 2017, told him it was getting cold in basement since he had torn down walls and never rebuilt. After 5 month absence he came out, gave bid of $50,000. Asked wife if he could start next day. She tells him she needs to discuss with husband; he tells her "you have a serious problem here, this needs to be addressed immediately, I hope you make a decision soon, you need to get this taken care of, ok I have to go now and get some other work lined up for tomorrow." He appeared agitated and left abruptly. If it was such a serious problem, why did he vanish from the job site from May to September?

    Ram Jack
Ram Jack was prompt and extremely professional. They had to dig up several plants (including a fairly tall crepe myrtle) and tear out the decorative brick "wall" holding the raised bed in place. Before they left, they replanted the shrubs and tree, rebuilt the brick wall, reseeded the grass and laid straw over it. Actually, the brick wall looked ten times better when they were done than how it looked before! Turns out one of the men had experience laying brick. We could not have been more please with Ram Jack.

    Ronnie Mitchell And Son
Service done on time. Said it would take 3 days, and it did. They did not use all the river rock estimated and credited that back to us on the final payment. They left the jobsite in better condition compared to when they arrived. Always kept in touch to make sure we were happy with the way the project was progressing.

    Appalachian Building Concepts
He came by to give me an estimate on a basement apartment rental. He quoted me $3500 just to paint the kitchen cabinets and started getting defensive when I told him that I got my whole 2400 square foot house painted for $5000. He then went in a room and pointed out how the paint was peeling and asked me if I wanted him to sand it down and make the wall even. I told him no, that I didn't want to spend the money to finely finish the small details on a rental. He then got super offended and ****** for some reason and said that he couldn't do this job and that there were too many problems with the basement and huffed out of the apartment. Super unprofessional and rude!!! I've never seen anything quite like that before. I do not recommend this person.

    Bone-Dry Construction and waterproofing inc
Appointment scheduled for 8:30am. Hadn't heard from contractor by 8:45am so I called him (John Barnett) and had to leave a voicemail. He returned my call around 8:50am and said "I'm running late. I said between 8:30 and 9am". That wasn't true, we had and 8:30am appointment and I was taking time off from work for this appointment. He asked if I wanted to reschedule and I declined. If a contractor can't be punctual when they are trying to win your business then there is no hope for punctuality and professionalism after they start a job. He could have contacted me by 8:30am to let me know that he was running late and there wouldn't have been any issue.

    Affordable Septic Tank Service LLC
There's nothing like walking in your back yard and seeing a pool of septic juice. After a quick tank pump out, we were told that our system had failed (it was nearly 70 years old). I was given the Affordable Septic name by a friend who had spoken with them in the past. Not having a clue what I'd be walking into, I gave them a call and asked for their advice. From the start, Ken walked us through the complicated process of replacing most of our system. He advocated for us with the local government and health dept., took care of permits, dug perk test holes, pumped our tank twice, and arranged 3rd party work to bore under a creek near our home. He and Paul took the time to explain each step as we went along and often went above and beyond the base contract to insure we got a top notch system. From start of work to the finish was right at 6 days. Much quicker than anticipated and the system is working great! I can not recommend them highly enough. True professionals!
