Re-Bath of SW & Central VA
The actual installation was done by a very good craftsman who followed his building instruction well.
My basic frustration was with the Rebath office in Roanoake .
We originally had a salesman come to our house for an estimate to remove our old shower and replace it with their replacement product. That was 3/9/2011.the salesman at that time gave us an approx. starting date of 7/9/2011.
After not hearing from them for four months we called them to inquire as to the status of our project, witch we paid for in advance back in March. The person we talked to didn't have any idea who we were and said they
would get back to us as soon as possible. That never happened and a few days later we called back. That call that they were still waiting on our purchase materials to arrive and when they were there, they would contact us for an estimate of when they could start.Once again ,no call, we had to call them. They still weren't sure if our materials were all there.this happened a couple of times.
On our next conversation,, we were told an earlier starting date in June was possible and they would call us to schedule.June went by,no cal,l we called them. They said that our original date was when they could start. When that day arrived and no one showed up,and we received no call from them ,we called them to see why they left us sitting home waiting for them with no call.Once again more excuses about how busy they were and how unpredictable the business was. After another long call where we expressed our continuing displeasure with the way thay were handling our project, they gave us a date a month later in August. that day arrived and an installer did show up and begin our project. He was able to complete  most of the project except for the glass door to complete our shower, that work took four days,8/15/2011 to 8/18/2011. The installer told us that we needed to call the office the following Monday to make sure they ordered the glass door and inclosure.
The following week we went on vacation and when we returned a week later, we called them to see if the glass was there. They had to get back to us,because they weren't sure if it was there.Once it was there they couldn't get to us for at least two more weeks. At this point I was totally irate.
After getting the owner on the phone, and listening to him give me more excuses about how busy there were and how many projects they had lined up and how they would get me in as soon as possible I let him know how extremely dissatisfied I was. And that all this b.s. wasn't getting anywhere with me anymore and I wanted this project  finished.
Needless to say that was a frustrating conversation.
The following week we got a call that a day opened up and they could finish a week earlier than they had said.
I don't think as a customer, I should have to listen to how busy a company is and how hard it is for them to stay on schedule. That isn't my problem. My concern is for the project that I in good faith paid in advance  to have to wait from March till September to be able to use.For an owner to complain about how they can't keep up with their projects is poor bussiness management. For a company whose major business is re doing bathrooms, they should be so well organized by this time that there should be no reason to put any customer through the junk we went through.
