This is for Home Depot corporate, not this particular store. Came out for work on my 2011 Maytag refrigerator. Fan was working but did not get cool air.
Technician dispatched was overheard by me asking someone on the phone to help him identify the compressor. I should have kicked him out of my house on the spot, but I thought that he was a representative of Home Depot, and let it go. He left without repairing the refrigerator. I later found out that he claimed that the compressor had burned out due to excessive pet hair (we have a few cats and one dog). First he doesn't know what the compressor is, and 20 minutes later he claims that it is burned out. A week later, I called another technician, also through Home Depot, to come out. This technician took about 15 minutes to determine that the compressor switch was faulty. He replaced it on the spot and the refrigerator works great now. The first technician was completely inept. Their company was secretive and not helpful at all. Home Depot refuses to honor their extended warranty that we bought from them.
