    Moss Building & Design
We are very pleased with the outcome of the project and Moss was pleasure to work with from start to finish. Their project manager who was assigned to us was knowledgable, attentive and responsive. On the rare occasions when we had a concern, Moss listened and took immediate action to rectify matters. The quality of work was very good, whether performed by Moss' own employees or their highly qualified subcontractors. The project duration took longer than anticipated, however, Moss always kept us informed. Moss did not present us with any additional cost claims, however we (the Owner) initiated 3 change orders. In summary, Moss met or exceeded all of our expectations. We are very happy with the finished project and I am very comfortable recommending their services to future customers.

After a large renovation in 2014, we were left with a large patch of dirt/mud which meant we were never able to go outside and enjoy our backyard. With 3 teenagers and a constant stream of friends coming over to the house we needed to get them outside!  We found Carmen and his team online and when he came to our house for an onsite appraisal he gave a fair price for the work we planned to have done.

After the area was staked out we decided to make a few changes and his team was able to make it happen.  Once the main work started they were fast and made good progress.  We did have an issue where the wrong pavers were ordered but AEM took owenership of the error and ordered the correct materials.  Although the error set us back about 2 1/2 weeks, they were a good partner to work with and that is what you really need in the end...especially when there are issues.

    Steadfast Construction Inc
I'm sitting on the porch writing this review...it has exceeded my expectations! From the first visit with Josh who did the estimate through to the final staining of the floor everything went like clockwork. These guys have the process down. They did architectural drawings to show Reston Association to get me through the approval process. Once they started construction, Franklin and his crew got the job done in 3 and a half days! And even though they were fast the work was high quality. I'm very happy with the porch...I can now enjoy the outdoors without the bugs!

Michael Nash Design Build & Homes
I had Michael Nash remodel a bathroom and my kitchen, as well as build on a screened in porch. The work was excellent and my townhouse was transformed. I loved the end product so much that I have just rehired Michael Nash to come remodel my kitchen in my new home. Really excited for the possibility of another transformation.

    Steadfast Construction Inc
Working with Steadfast was great from start to finish.
Miguel came out to our home, made a number of valuable recommendations on how we should go about best constructing the new porch and deck, and what would look best and how we'd be able to get the most benefit.
Once we signed the contract with Steadfast, they worked with us on providing the drawings and documentation for us to get formal approval on the project with our homeowners association.  They took care of all of the permitting, etc...  And made life about as easy as possible when going through the initial phases of any project.
They started pretty much as scheduled and the main office stayed in touch with us throughout the process updating us on the activities and schedule of their crew.  They finished the entire deck, screened porch, electricity, etc... in about 2 weeks.
The crews they had out to do the build were great.  Very professional and did a first rate job.
I would use this company again for any project we had.  Very happy with the cost, and extremely happy with the quality of the product they delivered.  They easily exceeded my high expectations.

    Patio Enclosures
On the plus side, the Patio Enclosures/Great Day Improvement representatives we dealt with all seemed positive and professional.

On the minus side, their consistent statements that good communication with their customers is important to them have been repeatedly proven to be untrue in the more than six months that we have dealt with them.  They are willing to call customers quickly when incremental payments are due, but neglect to do so at other times, even when problems arise with their jobs that customers should be made aware of ASAP.

Joel, Paul, and the rest of the installation crew did a good job, even in inclement weather.  They take obvious pride in their work and produced a nice result for us, finally completing our project today, October 23, 2013, more than six months after we signed our contract with Patio Enclosures.

The main problem we had with this company is that they are consistently terrible about communicating with us.  We signed our contract with them on April 4, 2013, and were told that the work might be completed by the end of May or mid-June 2013, depending upon the progress of the approval process, etc.

There were complications that delayed the completion of the job, most of which we were not told about until we called and asked them how the project was progressing, after weeks of not hearing from them.  The General Manager, Bill Reames, came out to our house on August 7, 2013, to review the project with us and assure us that the lack of communication regarding the progress on our job to that point should not have happened, and would not happen again.  Bill Reame's assurances of timely communications in the future proved to be untrue.

There was no communication from his company for three weeks after our August 7 meeting with Bill Reames.  I finally called them to ask how our job was progressing, and was told that installation was scheduled to begin on October 1, 2013.  It did begin that day, and continued through October 11, with a few delays caused by rainy weather and missing materials.  On October 11 we were told that the job would be completed on October 14.  On October 14 no one came to work on our porch.  On October 15 no one came to work on our porch.  No one called to tell us that the Patio Enclosures crew would not be coming on those days.

I called Patio Enclosures on October 15, and was told that the work was now scheduled for completion on October 23, because they were waiting for the arrival of missing materials.  The "missing materials" apparently consisted of one window screen that was not delivered with the other screens and windows, despite the fact that we had been told in July 2013 that all the windows and screens had been delivered to Patio Enclosures, and were ready for installation in our porch.

Patio Enclosures reps have repeatedly told us that one of the good things about their company is that they stay with each job until it is completely finished before moving on to the next job.  That did not happen in our case.

Patio Enclosures reps also emphasize how important good communication with their customers is to them, but that did not happen in our case, even after Bill Reames, the General Manager, told us that we should have received and would in the future receive regular messages about the progress on our project, scheduling delays and changes, etc.

As we have discussed with Bill Reames and other members of his Patio Enclosures staff repeatedly in the more than six months since signing our April 4, 2013 contract, the consistent failure of his staff to inform us of problems, scheduling changes, and delays shows a blatant lack of respect for their customers, and makes it clear that providing good, reliable customer service is not a priority with his company, despite their written and spoken assurances to the contrary.

One thing that Bill Reames' office staff has been very quick about is requesting and processing payments for our window installation project. That is clearly more of a priority for them than providing timely notification of scheduling changes and delays.
We are very disappointed with the repeated, obvious failures of Bill Reames' staff to notify us of problems and schedule changes, and provide us with timely updates regarding our window installation project.  That is especially true after receiving Bill Reames? personal assurances at our August 7, 2013 meeting that such a lack of communication with us would not happen again.  He was clearly wrong in that regard, whether intentionally or not.

Joel and his installation crew have worked hard to produce a good result on our porch, and it is extremely unfortunate that other members of Bill Reames' Patio Enclosures staff do not share the installers? concern with providing good customer service and positive outcomes.

D&D Siding And Roofing Specialist Inc
Overall, Dand D was excellent, reasonably priced, and HONEST individuals who you can trust with your home without worry. We had some communication issues and concerns with the office in the beginning, but once things started moving, everything went forward without a hitch. Dale is a true craftsman with the passion, skill, and pride in his work that you simply dont find often anymore! No need to worry, in the end Dale will always take care of everything. His crew of Cedro, Wilson, and his son Ryan were extremely hard workers and we were fortunate enough to personally get to know all of them. They all were skilled, proficient, and always left the work area clean and debris free at the end of the day. We would highly recommend Dand D and we will be using them again to re-finish our basement and other items on our wish list in the future!

Michael Nash Design Build & Homes
They did a great job working with us to get a design we loved.  The bathroom came out just beautiful and we love it.  It is a tremendous upgrade over the 20 year old bathroom design they replaced.  The two-story addition was a really large project. They took longer than we expected, but the results are great. We absolutely love the family room, storage room, and office.  Whenever we had a problem during construction, they came back and worked with us until we were satisfied.  The fireplace in the family room was custom constructed and it was a lot of work on their part to get it just right, but it came out great.  We have had a few issues in the year since they completed the addition and when problems have popped up Michael Nash came out and took care of them.

    Ace Deck & Fence
We had planned on getting a new deck and decided to add a screened porch to our house for additional living space.  From the estimate on, Ali could not have been more helpful and knowledgable.  He answered all of our questions and helped with the design of the new structure.  The crew working on the project were professional.  The project was done on time and within the price agreed to on the contract.  Our new porch and deck are beautiful and the quality of the work is fabulous.  I would and have recommended them.  You will not be disappointed if you hire Ace Deck.  My only regret with our new porch is that it is not bigger!

    Steadfast Construction Inc
It went great!  The final product is fabulous!  The crew worked meticulously to do a great job, paying attention to all details..  They reported to our house exactly when they said they would, and continued to work during extreme heat conditions in order to stay on schedule.  And to boot, they were super nice, answered our questions, and double-checked throughout the process to make sure that we were happy with the progress.  Throughout the construction, the supervisors also stopped by to check on the progress and to make sure that we were pleased.  Not only are we very happy that we added a screened-in porch, but we are very happy that we decided to use Steadfast.
