    He was almost another contractors price, which meant the discounted Angie's list price was still almost double another group. He also told me I needed an entire electric panel upgrade and that it had no grounded. I sent video of my setup to my brother and my E Eng boss and they both agreed he was 100% full of it. I felt very embarrassed by almost being swindled by a *really* nice guy, who turned out to be quite dishonest. Same guy contacted me after the fact saying he started his own company and had lower rates. Didn't bother contacting him back.

    Protect America Home Security
    Almost every piece of equipment originally provided has had to be replaced, some several times, in the two years we have been under contract with Protect America. We have experienced repeated false alarms due to malfunctions of the equipment, including door and fire sensors. Eventually the company agreed to have someone physically come to our home to check everything out (installation is DIY, and quite easy). This professional affirmed that everything was correct, made a few tweaks, and left. Unfortunately this did not really help and we continue to have difficulty with the system. Service through the call center is of mixed quality. Some reps are excellent, most are fine, some are very frustrating. If the system itself functioned correctly, the service would be entirely sufficient, but they aren't up to the task of making up for its many failures. We are working hard to get out of the remainder of our contract, and strongly recommend against working with this service provider.

    Great. A week before someone came out to the place to assess and view the work needed to be done. He was kind and very professional. I was informed of what to expect. Then the fallowing week someone came to do the work. He came early, listen to my concern, thought through the problem at hand quickly sizing up the situation and headed to the nearby Home Depot to purchase needed items. He was exceptional to work with. I rarely felt so trusting at at easy with a handyman. He went out of his way to resolve the problem where prior handyman I have hired have been in a hurry and have not. He left nothing loose and not taken into consideration. I was impressed at his steadfastness and undivided focused attention to get the work done and Done Well. !

    Provider was able to get creative and allow me to purchase my Frontpoint Security system from Angie's list to save $100.  I was thrilled.  Later on I added in CO Monitors with the vendor directly so I'd recommend a system that included those.  I thought overall the system was just OK, I felt it wasn't sturdy enough and I was very uneasy with installing everything myself.  The motion detectors were extremely persnickety and showed "tampered" with a lot which then meant I passed over them to lock down the house.  The other thing that drove me CRAZY was waiting for 60 seconds for the system to arm itself versus entering a 4 digit code arming the system and hearing that "doors and windows" are on.  Overall, Frontpoint customer service is out of this world and so was their return process, so I would suspect most people would keep this system.  Unfortunately, I went back to ADT just until Frontpoint works out some kinks like better pricing per month and someone to come out to install the system.  I mean, if it is wrong and something happens it only takes one security event to be disastrous.  I can't afford that.

    Kevin, our sales person, was very thorough & did a great job designing system. The installer was timely, courteous, helped us with add-ons and did a great, clean job on installation. First sales person never showed, which is why a "B" for overall. Kevin did a good job making up for it.

    I asked for a weekend time, they provided. he arrived in the window of schedule, knew roughly how the problem had been reported, and had the common solutions to try first, which fortunately worked. he listened to and answered all my questions. simple job well done. I did not do enough comparison shopping to know if the price was good. but weekend hours are somewhat hard to get. anyway job well done and I learned about wiring in the process.

    We were not impressed with FrontPoint Security.  We decided to get an alarm system and had heard of FrontPoint.  When I called to get information and schedule an appointment, I was quoted an amount for the equipment/service based on the number of windows and doors we have in our house (they took this information over the phone and said they didn't need to come out to the house).  When we decided to go through with the service, the cost completely changed and increased drastically.  The original quote was completely scraped after I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with them originally.  I was very disappointed with the disjointed information I received and that I was misled about the price of the equipment and service.  I would  not recommend this company to others.

    After having a terrible experience with ADT, I was looking for a new security company for my new home. FrontPoint was very easy to set up and the customer service is excellent. If you are in the market for a security system, I definitely recommend FrontPoint.

    Was told that when I moved, I should continue my contract by having a new system installed at new residence to avoid cancellation fees, which I did. 2.5 years later (a few months short of the 3 year contract), I moved in with my fiance and needed to discontinue service). It is impossible to get any assistance from management or customer service on the phone. One sales rep told me I could not speak to customer service, and that no managers were available. He transferred me to billing, who also tried to get me to renew their contract at a and quot;discountand quot; in my new house. When I asked this person to transfer me to a manager, she simply put me on hold (I hung up after 10 minutes of being on hold). I will be writing a big fat complaint to head of company and to head of customer service!

    Chose Staples Electric LLC because they were rated highly in both the Washington Checkbook (check for price and quality) and on Angie's List ... also because they answered the phone when we called. It wasn't an emergency, but they were able to come out the next morning ? picked up the carbon monoxide/fire/smoke detector on the way, and showed up right on time even though it had started snowing. The electrician was polite and thorough, and worked quickly to complete installation of all 3 components within 1 hour. We received the Angie's List discount, would highly recommend Staples Electric, and will definitely use them again for our electrical needs.
