    Tara Home Improvement
I hired Mike from Tara Home Improvement on two occasions. First, to fix my toilet. He did a great job! Then, I hired him to fix my shower door. The cost was very reasonable for both projects, and I'd absolutely hire him again! He did a great job.

    custom floor
Although for the most part, everything was fine, there were issues, and I would be sure to review the work more closely if we had them do anything in the future. I also think that they might be better with carpeting than with tile. Not sure tile is their 'thing'. We had Custom Floor do a relatively large room with tile, picking tile that was similar to wood, because we wanted something more durable than wood in that room. Initially, everything went smoothly. Benny was very responsive, and came out quickly, and gave us a tentative figure, using an average grade tile. The gentleman came out to install the tile, and although everything seemed fine, when he finished, we noticed that there was no transition between the carpeted area, and the tile, which there should have been. Also, some of the grout appeared to be lighter, and some darker. That wasn't a bid deal, but we mentioned it. Peter came out right away, and looked at everything, and said that yes, there should have been a transition installed, and he also noticed the slight difference in grout color. He said that he would have someone out to install the transition, and that they would do something about the grout. Long story short... the same installer came out, installed the transition, which was good, and then tried to 'color' the grout with something that he bought at Home Depot. In hindsight, we should have just overlooked the grout color. When we got home that night, we noticed areas of the installer's 'coloring' on the tile surface a quarter inch to a half inch on either side of the grout in many areas of the floor. My wife and I had to scrape whatever this stuff was, off the tile, and it was a long, and tedious job. Unfortunately, my wife had already sent the final payment, so we really had no recourse. I sent Custom an email back on Monday evening, indicating what happened, but as of this morning, there has been no response. I guess you get what you pay for.

    Collins Concrete Coatings
I couldn't be more happier with the professionalism with the staff and quality with their work. My garage flooring was bad, really bad. I had a couple other estimates come through and told me that they can put epoxy on my flooring without even coming over or asking for a picture, after doing research i noticed that I had a moisture issue with my flooring and it needed to be treated correctly. So I called Collins and Dana answered the phone, her rapport and professionalism was top notch and when i asked for a estimate, she got Buck to come out without hesitation. The day Buck came to my house, he automatically knew that i had a moisture issue and it needed to be addressed. So Buck suggested a moisture vapor barrier to be applied, which i honestly thought there was no way around moisture issues. So when I accepted the quote and when Collins started doing the work, their employees were outstanding (I dont remember his name) but I had to go out of town for business and 100% trusted Collins with access to my home when i was away. He kept me updated of when he came in a and when they left and sent me pictures when they were done.........OMG! It looks amazing!!! After all the upgrades ive done with my house, this is the one will be a + on the ROI. Also, the wife loves it too! Thanks Collins!!!!

    Charles Graves Painting
I own a rental in Northern VA but live on the west coast, so I needed a reliable contractor that could manage the entire job cost effectively. Charles took care of an entire tile installation throughout the condo, including coordinating with my tenant, delivery of the materials, thorough cleanup afterwards, return unused materials, painting affected areas, etc. The contract was specific and detailed without any ambiguity, communication was constant and thorough throughout the job, the schedule was maintained, and the tenant said it was a great job. He was working seven days a week to oversee the crew and send updates, which really set me at ease.

    AG Construction & Flooring
Aaron and his team did an excellent job. This isnt like hiring a subcontractor who may or may not show up. Aarons company is staffed by his employees and he stands by their work. The job was performed on time and completed quickly. Cant get over how good it looks: my place looks like new! Price was very competitive, and quality top notch. Also, Aaron is so responsive I sometimes wonder if he ever sleeps. If you are looking to get anything done with your floors, this is the only place to go.

    District Floor Depot
Due to all the rain we had last few weeks, we had the water coming into our basement and damaging our carpet. So for the second time we turn to District Floor Depot. They offer the excellent selection of products, stress-free installation and very good price. I would highly recommend District Floor Depot to anybody in a need of new floors.

    NVS Kitchen and Bath
NVS did a major renovation in the summer of 2016. It went so well we hired them in the fall of 2017 to to complete the home beautification process. Dawn Parker was our designer & sales consultant. She designed the deck and guided us in choosing materials for all the other projects that worked well with the 1st renovation. The deck off the family room is just beautiful. Casey Saunders was our Project Manager. Casey went above & beyond in making sure everything was done to our satisfaction. So, so happy with our "new" home!!

    H & C Construction Services LLC
Luis and his team were outstanding. Very professional, responsive, timely, and also a great value. They helped work thru many of those unexpected issues that always occur when remodeling. I would hire him again for any work I was considering. The best construction service I have ever worked with.

    Flooring America
Jay Jelis, the design consultant, was to our house four (4) to measure for new kitchen cabinets, new tile flooring, quartz counter tops & glass back splash. On the day of demolition, the crew did extensive damage to the existing drywall in removing the old appliances, counter tops & cabinets. Mr. Jelis was told the old floor was installed with epoxy grout & flexible mortar additive because there were 24"O.C. trusses not 16"O.C. joists. This required the aforementioned grout & additive. The company had no idea how remove the old tiles & substrate & neither did Mr. Jelis. After 2 1/2 days banging with a hammer & pry bar, they finally got the tiles out. The only problem was the grout & mortar were still on the substrate. Mr. Jelis told us he was going to mortar over the existing substrate and apply the new tiles. We had to go the owner of the franchise to remove & replace the existing substrate. This added another 1 1/2 days to the project. The cabinets were either incorrectly measured or inappropriately installed which resulted in the cabinets unusable or had to be replaced. I cannot state strongly enough STAY AWAY FROM FLOORING AMERICA, ASHBURN, VA for any kitchen renovations.
