AMarks-Woods Construction Services, LLCMarks-Woods team was fantastic! Highly communicative, creative, attentive and punctual. They had great ideas when it came to the layout of our small kitchen to maximize storage. When it came to finishes, they provided great options that fit within our budget and took our kitchen to the next level. They recommended adding a feature wall and certain moldings that were true to our historic home's aesthetic. They were fantastic when it came to transforming our unfinished carpark into a drive that was designed so beautifully, we use it as a patio as well! Would definitely work with them again!- Nicole B.

ARIBA Construction LLCWe have used RIBA Construction for several projects now, and each time the experience is fantastic from start to finish. From the very beginning of every project, Richard and his entire team are clear about the process and what it will entail. Communication is grade A, as he is interested in helping you make your vision come to life. I can’t speak enough about the knowledge that he has in the field and his attention to detail. He not only knows the best products on the market, but he has a great eye for what looks good and values your input while making the best choice for your needs/wants, style and budget. He helped us decide paint colors for each of the bathrooms that we remodeled, helped us with the kind of marble tiles that would best fit the design of one of the bathrooms, and also suggested a great nontransparent type of window pane for the bathroom in the front of the house to make sure it can’t be seen into. Richard is very hands-on and isn’t just a name somewhere in an office. He’s always just a phone call away, and makes it a point to check in on-site to ensure that everything is running smoothly, because he is genuinely interested in the work that he does, always providing the best possible service & quality. The team leads are great at communicating as well, and they make sure that any unexpected issues (if any) can be mitigated quickly and efficiently. The end result always turns out better than expected. We’re very happy with RIBA’s services, and highly recommend using them for your construction and remodeling needs. AExterior MedicsWe engaged Exterior Medics for a reasonably complicated roof / water damage repair—all of which was exterior work. From our first contact, they were extremely good with communication through the estimating, quoting, and project execution phases. They were accommodating and speedy with changes I requested after starting, and when disassembly of the damaged areas showed more damage than originally assessed, they were speedy and reasonable with the change order quote for a more complex repair. The teams performing the work did excellent work which was completed on schedule—despite the changes and additions in scope. During the project the EM project manager (Arash) did an excellent job keeping us informed about progress and what was going on. They also took and furnished pictures extensively throughout the repair, documenting what they found and what was required to remediate everything. For the quality of work, the transparency, communication, and reliability, I certainly felt we received a good value for our money. They worked to make a potentially-stressful engagement as painless as possible.- Howard C.

AAvec Construction IncGenerally went well. It took a long time to get the permits, but I don't think that was the contractor's fault. Once we finally got started, the work was completed quickly. There was one problem in that it didn't pass inspection at first, and they needed to add more supports (the additional supports really do look like an afterthought, but they're not too noticeable) - I do think they should have understood the requirement when they laid out the deck. Also, they don't do the sealing, so I had to find someone else to do that (but I did, and that was fine). They did have someone to repair and finish the stone patio under the deck, and he did a fantastic job! The county wouldn't let me replace the steps, so I had the patio expanded to cover that area, and it blended perfectly with the older part of the patio. So overall, I am very happy with the results, and would use them again.- Beverly B.

AAvec Construction IncKati, her husband, and their crew did an outstanding job. They removed a worn, wooden deck and walkway and installed a Trex deck, aluminum railing with low-profile steel cables, and acrylic lattice. Kati was meticulous from the beginning: drawing out the plan, deciding on materials, arranging inspections, and adhering to the timetable. The deck railing was delayed because of COVID but everything else went like clockwork and the job was completed by early Spring. The crew kept a very clean job site and took the time to answer our questions. We are happy to recommend Avec and would hire them again.- Patricia A.

AOverall Phoenix did a fantastic job with this project. Despite the current COVID environment, they were here everyday getting the job done. Communication was good, and we did not have any hiccups or addendums that weren't previously discussed from the original scope of the job. We did have some issues with the re-surfacing of the hardwood floors, but Phoenix went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied with the end product. They were fantastic to accommodate us on certain items based on our budget; one thing that stood out to us was this feature. We are so happy we found them and our house is better than we imagined it would be from the initial drawings. We hope to work with them again on other projects for our home.

ASteadfast built a new deck for us five years ago, and just finished a front porch for us this week. For design and options, we worked with Miguel both times and he was fantastic to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the projects , and was able to provide a variety of 3-D renderings which were both helpful for us to review, as well as for HOA approval. Omar was fantastic with communication for both projects and kept us abreast every step of the way. We had the pleasure of having Franklin and his team build both the deck and front porch. There is nobody better to work with than Franklin and his work and attention to detail is outstanding! Over the years, we have done a number of home improvement projects. The ones that rate the best by far, are the two that were completed by Steadfast and built by Franklin and his team. They are first class and we look forward to working with them in the future. Luis Figueroa (owner) has a natural talent for design and can visualize concepts in a way foreign to most. His knowledge in his area of expertise is clear and he shows a familiarity with upcoming trends as well as classic outdoor projects. He and his team were incredibly professional and efficient in designing and building a large deck and pergola overlooking the water. They also graded the entire yard to make a smooth transition down to the water. The job was completed with an amazing interior renovation in the great room. It turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined including the smallest details. Luis took the time to visit the worksite and communicated well throughout the process. FI would give this business a zero if I could. Project was a mess to start with due to poor communication between the owner and his hired help. They put the wrong stone down and had to replace. After a couple of years most stones popped due to improper installation. Owner claims a 10 year warranty on work and will not honor. Stay clear of this business!!
