    American Home Contractors Inc
Very satisfied with the Job performed. My Technician was Dennis Constantino and he was a pleasure to deal with. He explained everything to me and made sure i was happy with what he was doing. I will be calling on Dennis and American Home Contractors again this spring to come back and perform the same service on my roof.

    Hyland Home Solutions
Seamus Hyland and one of his emplyees performed the work. They were punctual, professional, courteous, and helpful. The work was successfully completed, and the results meet expectation. Frankly, it was the best gutter cleaning I've purchased off Angie's List. Recommended.

    Nova Pro Wash
Ryan arrived on time. We did a walk around and discussed what needed to be done.
When I scheduled the appointment I asked for the gutters to be clean. When Ryan arrived he explained I had a gutter cover which did not allow anything to get in. He took the cost of gutter cleaning off of the estimate.
After Ryan was done we did a second walk around. He did a wonderful job and left everything looking clean. The flowerbeds were mulched the day before and the beds still looked perfect.
This is a small local business with exceptional customer service. Ryan really cares about customer satisfaction.

    Walker and Clarke Builders Inc
The contractor performed as advertised, no surprises.
The contractor responded immediately to my Angie's List query - on a Sunday afternoon.
He toured the site and delivered a precise and detailed quote the next day.
He had a crew available within 2 days to complete the whole job in one day.
The correct materials were delivered on schedule.
He did a few other things not contracted for that were of the 'while we're at it...' nature, commonly referred to as "above and beyond". There were no 'oh, by the way" last minute, add-on charges: satisfaction was as quoted/contracted.
The site was cleaned-up thoroughly upon completion: Had I not been looking for the new work, I may not have realized anyone had been there.
I will engage Walker & Clarke again should a need arise.

    LeafFilter Gutter Protection
When I had bought the house a couple months ago I noticed that water was overshooting the gutters. At that time Gutter Helmet was already on the house. I had put in a request into HomeAdvisor.com looking for contractors to fix the issues we were having. I was quickly contacted by LeafFilter. Even though we were not interested in another leaf guard type of product, we listened to what they had to say. The sales person took measurements and went over his sales spiel. After an hour, I had to interrupt
and just say that I wasn't really interested(he was indicating that it would cost around $6K) in a product that wouldn't fix the issues we were having. He then reassured me that it would. He also was trying to sell the idea of how great this micromesh technology is. Even though later on I found out they used different mesh in certain areas. He stated they also would remove the Gutter Helmet system, clean the gutters and fix any gutter alignment and leaking issues(You can see the contract at the end of the video). I had a quote for essentially the same thing without the LeafFilter system from another contractor for around $300. So after some negotiation, I was able to get that and the filters for a bit under $1000. At that point it seemed reasonable.
During the sales pitch he kept explaining how they use their own employees for installation and its all about the quality of the installation. I actually think the crew that came out were subcontractors... Anyway they came out a couple days later. Unfortunately, I was at work so I had to rely on my wife to keep tabs on the installation. When they were done I told her to check to make sure it looked OK. She did not notice the gutter still hanging the wrong direction and of course couldn't see the areas where the Gutter Helmet came off. The installer did not mention any problems elsewhere. So she went ahead and paid them for the supposed completed job. They did not leave any card or contact information. When I got home that evening, I immediately saw the dent to the gutter above near the garage area. I forgot to mention that I asked the installer to replace some of the rotten fascia. This was one of those areas that they did that. This dent is only cosmetic and should not affect the function and the fascia install looked fine. It was then I saw the rear of the house and the pitch of the gutter did not look correct. I thought it may be the angle that I am looking at it. The next couple of days it rained and I thought I would take a peak at how the LeafFilter was working. To my surprise, what I saw was worse than before this product was installed. In the front of the house, there was now water coming between the gutter and fascia. In the rear water was leaking from the end of the gutter(the one that was pitched wrong) and the corner piece. In addition I was now seeing water dripping through the soffit vents all around the house. I can only think that it is coming through the shingles where the Gutter Helmet was removed. I took some pictures of these issues but it was night and hard to see. The next day I immediately called the corporate service number(The only number I had was from the contract from the sales person). I was told they would put in a ticket to the local office here in Virginia, which is in Fredericksburg. A couple days later I was contacted by that office and explained what was going on. They said they would let the installer know(I think his name is Mike) and that he would call me to schedule the appointment. A couple days later when I was at work, the contractor shows up with no call or appointment. I was at work but luckily my wife was home. She had us Skype and I pointed out some of the issues. He seemed courteous and professional to me. He explained that most of these issues were probably already there and I didnt notice but that he would take care of it and make it right. He said he would be back the following day when we were expecting rain to see for himself and would be back on the weekend to make the repairs. Those days come and go and he doesnt call or show up. The next week, I place another call to the service number to follow up. Once again they said they would let the local office know. They would not give me there number to talk to someone directly. That was two weeks ago and I have yet to hear back from anyone. We are disappointed in the lack of professionalism and follow through we have received from this company. We are now having other roofing and gutter contractors come take a look and estimate how much it will take to remedy the situation. At this point, we do not want LeafFilter back to cause more damage. This review is only to notify others that even though a product may be good, if it is not installed properly, it is not a good product.

    DryHome Roofing & Siding Inc
Our roof was damaged by a tree that fell in a violent storm around 3 am on a Friday, about 5 hours before we had to leave for a family funeral out of state. The hole was only the size of a dinner plate, but large enough...before I could get a tarp over the hole at daylight, enough rain came in to bring down a section of ceiling in the room below...but that's another story (and yet to be repaired). Started looking for roof service on Monday. Started with Dryhome because they had installed our roof originally. Could not have been kinder in breaking the news they were overloaded because of the storm and busy season and couldn't get an. Estimator out for 10 days. The story was the same with every other company-- licensed and not we tried. It was a BAD storm. As it turned out, they were the earliest estimate we could get! The estimate was decent--$600 to repair the roof and $125 to clean gutters on the whole house. And wound up being the only one we got: we asked the estimator if he could adjust the tarp ( that I had weighed down with pieces of the fallen tree). He said he would, but he went a huge step further: he went to his truck and came back with what looked like a giant shingle, climbed back up onto the roof and nailed it over the hole to make it watertight. After the estimator left, we debated what to do and decided to accept, canceling two other estimates. Dryhome was able to come the next week, a crew came well within the timeframe, replaced a whole section of wood and shingles, cleaned the gutters and hauled away all the debris from both in under 1 and 1/2 hour. The repaired section of roof is on a one story extension we can see everyday and the repair is seamless, matches perfectly.

    Larry Miller, Inc.
A crew of two showed up right on time and introduced themselves. One started inside while the other started the outside. All screens removed, all glass cleaned, all edges wiped and dried. Great job, then they did the outside. Not only did their pressure washer clean the black staining from our gutters and soffits (20 ft off the ground) they washed down the whole house. Sparkling clean. The crew was here about three hours. Larry showed up near the end of the time just to say Hi, and make sure we were pleased. We were very pleased.

    Gutterglove
Purchased the deal thinking that I could install "Gutterglove" for a section of my roof. The deal was to install upto 20ft of Gutterglove for $49. The fine print said that any feet over 20 will cost $20/feet. What the Ad did not convey is that if you purchase the deal you have to the WHOLE HOME install!!! The vendor emailed me back saying that he cannot honor the deal because I did not want to do a whole house install.

    Baden Seamless Gutters Inc
They did an outstanding job including cleaning the outside of the gutters. They asked it there were any particular problems that we wanted them to focus on. They were on time, and just did an outstanding job.

    Carlos Morales
Carlos is very professional and courteous. He responded to my initial call the same day and arranged a visit with estimate the next morning. His estimate came in $2,000 lower than another one I received. He worked with 2 other men who were pleasant and friendly. After everything was finished, some rain flooded the basement of the house, soaking a carpet. Carlos and his men removed a heavy carpet and pad, wiped up the floor and hauled the carpet at no extra charge to me.
