Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Purcellville

    Loudoun Garage Door Inc
Arrived promptly and was finished installing within about 90 minutes. My wife said he was very professional. Price quoted was exact amount paid. $300. Well worth the hassle of figuring out myself plus the safety issues.

Our garage door opener was not working. They came out and diagnosed the problem (some stripped electrical wires leading into the opener unit), fixed it, and advised us on periodically greasing the garage door rollers.

    Hartley Home Exteriors
Extraordinarily smoothly and successfully.  Todd and his team are quintessential professionals; thorough, considerate, thoughtful, pragmatic and yet imaginative, creative, and innovative.  Their recommendations were backed up by thorough research, product experience, and cost-effectiveness.  Todd's professionalism shows through in all aspects of our new home.  His construction techniques, 6x2 and 10x2 construction materials in the walls and joists, thick blown insulation with compressible batting, double-hung, double-insulated windows and extra-duty doors created a sound- and weather-proof house and his selection of siding, molding, and roofing held up extraordinarily well during a heavy and intense winter.  Inside, the craftsmanship and attention to detail and functionality created an eminently livable home that we hope to have for many years to come.  His team of interior decorators, cabinetmakers, and appliance specialists created a functionally sound and aesthetically pleasing environment in which to relax, entertain, and live; truly an ambiance in which to unwind and live.

We would recommend Todd Hartley and Hartley Homes to anyone looking to build their dream house or to anyone looking to renovate, rehabilitate, or just "spruce up" their existing home.  Todd and his team make you feel as if you're one of their team because they listen to you, consider your needs and wants, and respond with unfailing professionalism and technical judgement; not to mention their a fun group to be part of, personable, friendly, outgoing, and easy to get to know and like.  It was a bittersweet moment when we took possession of our home because we had come to really feel we were part of Todd's team.

    Crews Garage Door Co
After purchasing this door and opener installation through Home Depot, Crews was the company that did their installation. The initial price was good but then they added an extra $800 on because they said the installation in a valued ceiling was a lot more work. As I had already paid I was somewhat forced to pay this extra cost. Other than a little more metal the installation was no more complicated than for a regular garage, so it was a total ripoff. The work they did was good but I would not recommend using them again.

Well, but the cost increased as they added new things they said I needed. Most probably they were needed, but they did not give me a good rate on the additional pricing. At least that is what I think. But overall, the job they did was good.

    Academy Door & Control Corp
Everything went well, it took a while to get the door we wanted in stock (a couple weeks) but they were able to schedule the install just 2 days after they contacted us that the door was in. We used an Angie's List coupon to save $100, and they threw in a free control pad. When they came to do the install the paperwork didn't include the control pad but a phone call cleared that up and they came back the next day to install it.
They weren't the cheapest estimate but their bid seemed the most thourough. They spent over an hour here going through door options with samples and talking about the differences, pros, cons, etc.
Their estimate included new tracks, new weather stripping, etc which the others didn't include and were similarly priced.
Overall we're very happy with the install and price.

    Affordable Door
Their services was excellent. They showed up on time, worked straight through until the job was done, and provided the materials and service expected for a very reasonable price. One garage door opener was delivered with a defective remote and they came back a few days later to give us a new one and program it. The doors look and operate great.

    Andrew's Garage Door Repair LLC

The subcontractor showed up on time and told me I did NOT need new rollers (which was supposedly included in the price of the maintenance pkg).  All he did was spray WD-40 on the wheels holding the pulleys--that's it.  Took about 2 minutes total time.  The garage doors don't work any better or are any quieter than before.  A TOTAL rip-off.  Would never pay for this "maintenance service" again.  Good thing is that the appointment was made quickly, subcontractor showed up on time, was very nice, very polite, and seemed to know his business.  None of this was his fault.  Shame on Andrew's Garage Door repair for calling this a garage door "service" and for Angie's List for allowing this kind of rip-off.

Yes, please contact me (phone 540-338-9309) to schedule replacement of the rollers.  Just to confirm--the $89 I paid for the first garage door maintenance and $49 for each of the other 2 doors' maintenance covered just a couple of squirts of lubricant on door system?  That is ALL the tech did--was finished in about 2 minutes total time.

Business still has not contacted me to schedule roller replacement.  Really lousy customer service.

    Academy Door & Control Corp
Excellent!  The tech fixed the issue, gave me some helpful tips to extend the life of the openers and did no "upselling" to try and get me to spend more money.  I will recommend this company to anyone!

    Door Doctor Inc
I called them and they came out as scheduled, on time.  The technician, after evaluating the problem gave some honest recommendations.  Specifically, he didn't think it was worth servicing the system at this time.  He did not charge for the visit.
I'll definitely use these guys when it's time for a replacement.
