    Hartley Home Exteriors
Extraordinarily smoothly and successfully.  Todd and his team are quintessential professionals; thorough, considerate, thoughtful, pragmatic and yet imaginative, creative, and innovative.  Their recommendations were backed up by thorough research, product experience, and cost-effectiveness.  Todd's professionalism shows through in all aspects of our new home.  His construction techniques, 6x2 and 10x2 construction materials in the walls and joists, thick blown insulation with compressible batting, double-hung, double-insulated windows and extra-duty doors created a sound- and weather-proof house and his selection of siding, molding, and roofing held up extraordinarily well during a heavy and intense winter.  Inside, the craftsmanship and attention to detail and functionality created an eminently livable home that we hope to have for many years to come.  His team of interior decorators, cabinetmakers, and appliance specialists created a functionally sound and aesthetically pleasing environment in which to relax, entertain, and live; truly an ambiance in which to unwind and live.

We would recommend Todd Hartley and Hartley Homes to anyone looking to build their dream house or to anyone looking to renovate, rehabilitate, or just "spruce up" their existing home.  Todd and his team make you feel as if you're one of their team because they listen to you, consider your needs and wants, and respond with unfailing professionalism and technical judgement; not to mention their a fun group to be part of, personable, friendly, outgoing, and easy to get to know and like.  It was a bittersweet moment when we took possession of our home because we had come to really feel we were part of Todd's team.

    Walker and Clarke Builders Inc
Donny came and listened to my ideas, provided me with contacts where I needed to shop and make choices. He worked with me along the way to make sure the final result matched my imagined outcome.Donny, his dad, and the crew were  always prompt, courteous and personable. They did the work in the time frame agreed upon and communicated effectively. I appreciated knowing that the Walkers have been productive members of this community for decades and that maintaining an honorable reputation is important to them. The final result is structurally bombproof and really beautiful. I will definitely use their services again.Denise Geyer

    SGARRELLA BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION
Everyone at Sgarrella Bros are great to work with. They listen to what we want and make suggestions that are usually better than our thoughts. The concrete subs did not pour the slab level, but it was noticed and corrected right away. The cost was actually $970 more than the quote due to having to bring in 6 truckloads of dirt, which was discussed during the quoting process and throughout job. We are extremely happy with the garage. Sgarrella Bros are not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but they are the most honest and professional men, and the work is of the highest quality. We have used them for other minor items around our home and will always call them before someone else.

    METRO LANDSCAPE CONTRACTING
He is unreliable and is unable to manage cash flow. I had to terminate him after he exhausted the $10,000 initial payment, completing only some site prep and partial footer completion (mis-estimated the amount of concrete, resulting in an uneven (4" low) corner on the structure's poured foundation). He apparently relies on people who owe him money or favors to get the job done. One worker - Jimmy - was skilled and reliable when he showed up, but apparently he didn't get paid regularly so he didn't show up regularly. Smith called one day asking me to charge $600 worth of cinder block to my credit card saying he had a guy 'ready to go that day and would be getting a big check on Monday,' and that was it for me. He was intending to correct the defective poured footer with block and mortar and didn't even have enough of the initial payment (that should have resulted in a compete slab) to buy $600 worth of blocks. Unbelievable. By my estimate he completed less than 50% of the work and "spent" 100% of the initial payment. He was five months behind schedule, even when taking into account allowances for weather. Nice enough guy but clueless when it comes to business and customer service. Icing on the cake was when I noticed that a 30' extension ladder he had borrowed from me had gone missing. Said he realized the mistake and would return it. Never saw that $350 ladder again. I guess I'm to blame for some of this. I should have seen his money problems sooner and realized that managing a project more complex than a shrub planting would swamp him. Steve, if you ever read this, I want my money and ladder back. If it weren't for my wonderful, forgiving wife, I would have sued you in a heartbeat.

    Door Doctor Inc
It went very well. We are completely satisfied with the job both men completed. No additional charges or time were needed and they did exactly what they had proposed to us.
