Radon Testing reviews in Potomac Falls

    Gatekeeper Inspections
Brian was really great. He showed up 30 mins early. He asked a lot of questions and took his time. He encouraged I follow him around and ask any questions. He took a lot of pictures and even looked thoroughly at the attics and crawl spaces (i've heard many inspectors refuse to do so). I'm so glad I went with Brian. I highly recommend him. I purchased a home inspection and he also performed a radon test.

    HomeKey Inspections, LLC
Ian took the fact that we were first-time home buyers into account and went into painstaking detail on all his observations, categorized issues into "major" and "minor," and told us about methods for fixing some of the issues he found.  The report he sent us, the following day, was extremely thorough.  His professionalism so impressed our realtor, she took a stack of business cards to pass out to her colleagues.

    Radon Installation Contractors LLC

Rick Rodrigues, the owner, answered the phone. I explained that I heard a chirping sound coming from the radon system in our garage. He informed me that to send someone out to check it would be a cost, so he had me go out and look at the gauge and give him the readings. He also told me that radon systems don't chirp. He then asked me if the pipe runs into the sump pump in our basement. I did not know so he held on while I went downstairs to look. When I told him there was a pipe, he then asked about the pump running and asked about a back-up battery that we have. After several minutes explaining the system and briefly how it operates, he ended by suggesting that I really needed to have someone come out and test the back-up battery. This has saved me the cost of having someone come out unnecessarily. He was so helpful and wanted to save me money. I would absolutely use them.

    Potomac Homes Ltd
I was a little nervous at first when I called, he had me text him the information so he could send the information I needed back to me. After that though my worries were squashed. He was very professional, on time and did a thorough inspection. I wold most definitely use him again!

    Radon Control Professionals Inc
In short - quick and painless process.
We called the company up, got a price (not estimate) over the phone and scheduled the installation date and time. The radon tech arrived on time and within ~3 hours had the system 95% installed. He drilled 3 approx 1/2" and 1 x 3" hole in the concrete slab. He mounted the 3" PVC pipe in the 3" hole and caulked the rest. He completely caulked our sump pump pit. He needed an addition section of pipe or the outside portion so he returned the following Tuesday to install that (we did not have to be home).
We also received a radon test kit from the company which is our responsibility to put in place for 2 days and then send off to a testing laboratory for analysis.
The most impressive thing about this company is the LIFETIME warranty on everything except the outdoor fan (which is warranted for 5 years -- which is still very decent). The warranty details clearly were written by a company (not a lawyer) who are very confident in their product and service. To exerpt some of the highlights::
    • RCP guarantees to reduce the radon levels to below 4 pCi/l for the life of the home.......

If a valid test is preformed which indicates levels above 4 pCI/l, RCP will pay for the test and perform further work at no expense until the level is reduced below 4 pCI/l.

    Home Status Inspection Company LLC
I contacted Home Status based on reviews on Angie's Lis and he was also one of my real estate agents list of referrals.  Bill was very responsive; quick to contact me back.  He was able to meet my tight scheduling needs.
He was very thorough in checking everything out in the house and around the house; including garage, attic, patio, etc..  He was very knowledgeable and did his best to walk me through not just the inspection details but also proper maintenance on different items - and when the services should be performed.
Inspection report was sent to me the same day as well!
I definitely will recommend this company, and Bill, to others.

    Radon Abatement Services
Radon Abatement's Mr. Jim Humphries, and the company, is great at radon abatement!
We had a fairly routine sump pump application, and were very pleasantly surprised with the work's function and appearance.  Jim is very knowledgable.  Quality and professionalism are incredible.  I had a follow up question, and was impressed when he said he was in this for the long haul.  He knows his business.
No regrets.  Remember to ask for the free follow up test kit for Angie's List customers.

    Gatekeeper Inspections
The inspection went great. Brian spent several hours in the house reviewing everything.  He walked through the house with me and explained what needed to be fixed and why.  Later that evening he provided a very detailed report.  Brian also encourages you to call him anytime if you ever have questions about your home.  Highly recommended.

    Radon Abatement Services
Overall, a great experience. John and Jim were very easy to work with and provided constant info/updates throughout the transaction. Jim was very familiar with our style of house and found the least intrusive way to install the system. Bonus: a free long-term radon test for Angie's list members.

    Radon Abatement Services
Jim Humphryes of Radon Abatement Services installed radon mitigation systems for my single family home in Sterling.  The original/prior radon level was 5.8 in the basement, I ran couple of short-term radon testings a week after Jim installed the system, and now the reading is 0.4 which is normal.  I strongly recommend Jim and Radon Abatement Services for any radon mitigation work.  Jim and John are very professional, the price is very reasonable at $800, and quality is exceptional.  Best of all, my radon level is now normal, and moldy smell in the basement is gone.  I am so happy to use their services and will recommend them to all of my friends and neighbors.  5-star company.  Keep up the good work.
