    Phoenix Home Services Inc
Phoenix and their team are amazing. Highly recommend. Clint and Steve are very responsive and accommodating. Deyvis was always on time and did fantastic work. He did A LOT of tile work in these rooms. Dan is absolutely genius with custom built-ins for the closet and he made custom barn doors for the master. I cannot speak more highly of a company and their work ethic and integrity.

Responded to initial quote request in timely manner, and completed work in a thorough and neat fashion. He actually lowered the final bill by $100 as did not feel actual work warranted initial quote (which we thought was reasonable). Most professional and pleasant to deal with, and the basement is much improved!

We had requested an extra early start time, which they made perfectly! The workers were careful, respectful, courteous and very good. The time for installation was very accurate, about 6 hours. We are very pleased

Be careful of people from this company knocking on your door to offer services that you don't need, they are looking for your money. The person promised me a reduction of 30% energy cost (combined gas and electricity) if I changed the attic insulation. I have his signature and a written statement saying "30% energy reduction or money back" and also "price match warranty" in the contract and Homefix Custom Remodeling did not honor it. After a year and a half of monitoring invoices, I have not saved anything, even some invoices came higher and there have been no changes in my family routine. When contacted HCR management, they told me that the guy who signed was no longer working with them, as it was my problem. They subcontract the attic insulation work to a different contractor with a different name. The material is the cheapest one that you can get in the market. The work cost $2,700, but a reasonable price based on 2 other quotation for the size of my house was $1,400. They didn't even want to match the price, as the contract also states. My only resource now is to let other people know through this site because unfortunately I would spend more money in lawyers to try to get at least part of the money back. I have delivered copies of the contract with the statement to the CEO and the Director of Sales. None of them helped me Please be careful and don't fall in this trap. Be careful of them, please don't fall in the trap.

Everything would've been much better if the contractor came out to my house and gave me the opportunity to ask questions. There were times when I called them because I had questions but there was no response. I found out the contractor was in an accident so I understand. With the lack of response from the company I ended up getting a discount for the service. The workers did a great job and cleaned up everything, I have no complaints about them. I hope that the next person that works with this company gets the opportunity to discuss their needs with the company and that the contractor shows up to their residence.

I expected to get an independent and professional inspection and assessment of the roof on my home. Instead, it seems the "big deal" is little more than a bait and switch designed to get the homeowner to contract with them for a $11,000-$13,000 new roof.
Had I wanted an estimate on getting a new roof, many companies would have done that for free. After two weeks, I did not get the inspection report I paid for, and only have a very suspect proposal to spend thousands of dollars to completely replace the roof.
An honest and professional company would have inspected the roof, provided an written report and then offered their services, if I needed them -- not do a hard sell on a new roof. As it is, I don't trust their assessment and have the impression they're using the "big deal" to drum up business.

Very professional. Took a long time evplaining the procedure. Made written estimations. Applied attic insulation with hazmat "space suit" attire. Cleaned up after work. Helped apply for tax break available at the time.

    JW Home Improvement
During my initial call to J.W. Home Improvement I scheduled an appointment for an estimate with Tony.  J.W. charges a $50 estimate fee up front when you call to schedule the appointment but it is credited back to you if you have services performed.  I was fine with that.  My meeting with Tony was only a couple of days later and he arrived promptly at the meeting time and was very personable.  Tony listened as I explained exactly what I wanted done and was completely confident that J.W.'s crews could do what I was asking.  Tony estimated that the job would take two guys two eight hour days to perform and he was exactly on the money with that estimate.  J.W.'s pricing is fixed at an hourly rate and includes labor only.  I would pay less if the work was completed more quickly or more if it took longer than the estimated time.  He explained that they take a 50% deposit up front when scheduling the service and then the remainder would be paid after the service was completed.  I called and spoke to the scheduling department and was able to get on the schedule without any problems.  The woman with whom I spoke told me that the workers would call me on the morning that the service would take place to let me know they were on the way.  She said I should expect them between 8 and 9am.
On the day of the service Cesar called me to let me know he would be arriving in around 15 minutes.  He and Rene were both here promptly at 8am and I explained to them exactly the situation and what I would like done.  They knew exactly what I meant and explained a few conditions that we may run into but luckily everything went exactly as I had hoped.  On the first day they moved a lighting fixture to make room for the attic ladder and installed the ladder.  They also wired and installed lights in the attic space, installed trim around the opening for the ladder, and picked up the supplies needed for the following day.  Before leaving they thoroughly cleaned the work area, making sure to vacuum up any drywall dust and to bag any garbage and take it to the curb.
After Cesar and Rene left for the day I noticed that there was a slightly larger gap between the ladder and trim than I would have liked.  I also noted that the plywood they had chosen for the attic flooring was a little thinner than I would have liked.
The following morning Cesar and Rene arrived on time again and I mentioned the above issues to them.  They had absolutely no problem with redoing the trim to tighten up the gap to my liking and also willingly returned the plywood and exchanged it for the size I preferred.  In order to make sure I was happy with the trim they made the necessary adjustments and then showed it to me before making the installation permanent.  I was more than satisfied with the result.  They then installed the plywood flooring and the building paper in the attic, which would be used to hold up the roof insulation and keep fibers from the insulation from entering the attic space.  After the attic space was finished they painted the attic ladder door, trim, and the rest of the ceiling in the hall to make sure that all of the paint matched throughout the space.  They then did another thorough cleaning of the work area and left it spotless.  During the entire process they showed me what had been done to make sure I was happy with the results.
My research showed their rate to be competitive and after the work was performed I feel confident that the price was well worth paying for the result they achieved.  Cesar, Rene, and Tony were all very personable and professional, as were the people with whom I spoke on the phone when scheduling the estimate and work.  In addition, Cesar, Rene, and Tony were all very nice and personable to my overly inquisitive toddler who made her presence known during the entire process.  I have a few other projects that I would like to have done in the future and I will certainly consider J.W. when I choose to do them.

These guys are good. Did a very accurate estimate and gave some tips how to do the job right, and save money.
They did great. Came prepared and got the job done for less than the cost quoted by competitors.  Excellent workmanship.  We can tell a huge difference in the feel of the house on a hot day.

Professional crew showed up early morning at 8 am as promised along with the owner. Owner spent 30 minutes going over the plans with us and then proceeded with work. At the final, the walk through was performed and all aspects of the projects were double checked.
