    Gatekeeper Inspections
Brian was really great. He showed up 30 mins early. He asked a lot of questions and took his time. He encouraged I follow him around and ask any questions. He took a lot of pictures and even looked thoroughly at the attics and crawl spaces (i've heard many inspectors refuse to do so). I'm so glad I went with Brian. I highly recommend him. I purchased a home inspection and he also performed a radon test.

Ian took the fact that we were first-time home buyers into account and went into painstaking detail on all his observations, categorized issues into "major" and "minor," and told us about methods for fixing some of the issues he found.  The report he sent us, the following day, was extremely thorough.  His professionalism so impressed our realtor, she took a stack of business cards to pass out to her colleagues.

    Radon Installation Contractors LLC

Rick Rodrigues, the owner, answered the phone. I explained that I heard a chirping sound coming from the radon system in our garage. He informed me that to send someone out to check it would be a cost, so he had me go out and look at the gauge and give him the readings. He also told me that radon systems don't chirp. He then asked me if the pipe runs into the sump pump in our basement. I did not know so he held on while I went downstairs to look. When I told him there was a pipe, he then asked about the pump running and asked about a back-up battery that we have. After several minutes explaining the system and briefly how it operates, he ended by suggesting that I really needed to have someone come out and test the back-up battery. This has saved me the cost of having someone come out unnecessarily. He was so helpful and wanted to save me money. I would absolutely use them.

They came out and walked it the house with me. I asked him if he could check to see if there was mold in the bathroom from a previous smell. He stated if he went upstairs he would have to cut out a board in the floor where the smell was coming from and it would run a cost of up to $2000 extra. My $59 BD purchased would be applied to that. I feel no service was performed for my $59 purchase. He stated over and over if there is no smell I do not have to go upstairs. Apparently he was looking for some sort of visible sign. They were also suppose to come out on Friday and no one showed up until Monday after I received a call.

I was a little nervous at first when I called, he had me text him the information so he could send the information I needed back to me. After that though my worries were squashed. He was very professional, on time and did a thorough inspection. I wold most definitely use him again!

    Flood Doctor
I called when our dishwasher flooded and unfortunately, it was the worst time - right after a snowstorm and below zero temperatures. Frank spent time with me on the phone going over what I thought the damage looked like. It wasn't much and it had flooded into our unfinished basement. Because he was so overbooked with recent frozen pipe bursts, Frank gave me several fantastic suggestions to take care of the damage and suggested I call him back to test for the mold later. He was so helpful and knowledgable, we would definitely use him in the event of a big flood!

First Priority Cleaning & Restoration LLC
David was professional and punctual when he came for the free estimate. It was clear that he was very concerned with diagnosing the problem correctly and finding the best possible solution. He thoroughly explained all the options and procedures. He was very considerate of my physical limitations and constantly reassuring me that he would fix the problem. When his workers came he was also present. Once completed he carefully reviewed the work, found further issues and was able to address and adjust the work schedule accordingly. He was able to provide excellent referrals and it was very clear that he was an expert in his field, very knowledgable.

Mike Mulieri evaluated our mold problem in a small area in the basement.  We found that some of the items we had stored were wet and mildewed and strong smell of mold.  Had no idea whether this was a big or small issue and even possibly dangerous.  Mike was prompt and cordial.  Identified himself at the door, gave me his card.  Long story short.  He evaluated the problem and turns out it was minor.  Pointed out what he was and wasn't observing so we understood.  Gave us advice about how to wipe down the area, but said it wasn't necessary to hire his company.  Who says that!?  He goes to the top of my list for any future mold issues.  I understand that this is a business decision for him.  Probably isn't worth it to send a crew for such a small job.  But, there are those out there who could have and would have taken advantage of our ignorance about mold  issues.  Thank you for being candid and honest and ethical.  GIves me hope.

We had a water pipe burst and our basement flooded. There was damage to the walls, floor, sub-flooring, and mold set in. We called a number of companies that say they do water damage remediation and none were as responsive as Disaster Response. We had to wait a few hours, but it was worth it because the technician was professional, answered all of our questions, and handled our problem in the most efficient and non-intrusive way possible. They took care of everything and when the job was done, you would never know there had ever been a problem. They were fast, worked with our insurance and we were very happy with the whole process. We recommend Disaster Response completely and we will definitely call them again and tell our friends, should the need ever arise.

    Radon Control Professionals Inc
In short - quick and painless process.
We called the company up, got a price (not estimate) over the phone and scheduled the installation date and time. The radon tech arrived on time and within ~3 hours had the system 95% installed. He drilled 3 approx 1/2" and 1 x 3" hole in the concrete slab. He mounted the 3" PVC pipe in the 3" hole and caulked the rest. He completely caulked our sump pump pit. He needed an addition section of pipe or the outside portion so he returned the following Tuesday to install that (we did not have to be home).
We also received a radon test kit from the company which is our responsibility to put in place for 2 days and then send off to a testing laboratory for analysis.
The most impressive thing about this company is the LIFETIME warranty on everything except the outdoor fan (which is warranted for 5 years -- which is still very decent). The warranty details clearly were written by a company (not a lawyer) who are very confident in their product and service. To exerpt some of the highlights::
    • RCP guarantees to reduce the radon levels to below 4 pCi/l for the life of the home.......

If a valid test is preformed which indicates levels above 4 pCI/l, RCP will pay for the test and perform further work at no expense until the level is reduced below 4 pCI/l.
