    Everything went like clockwork! Nancy and her team are truly professional. All discarding and donating of items were handled with sincere compassion to help my sister "let go" of stuff that she really did not need in her new environment. They placed & arranged items/pictures on the wall and even made up beds. All items moved were put in their places. My sister just had to help with suggestions of placement--even to placing dishes and flatware in kitchen! They cleaned the new apartment and took away all trash/boxes. Top quality service from such a caring and professional team. Nancy Alberts also provides professional and knowledgeable advice about any life transition. We were blessed to have her services along with her caring team members.

    Hampton Roads Moving & Storage
    They hired other movers to move my house and they broke a lot of stuff. They broke a 5 foot mirror, an antique dresser, doll house, Kamado Joe, riding lawn mower, glider chair for the babies room, dumped out the gas from my generator into the lawn, then did not take it, dumped out the gas from the riding mower and did not take it, several glass vases, and stole my personal hand truck. They said they will only give us 200 dollars, and claimed everything depreciated in value, including the antique dresser and brand new mirror. It cost me 60 just to fix the lawn mower. But that was a month ago, and nobody will call us back or answer emails to compensate us. If they offered me free movers I would not take it.

    I asked for movers to shrink/plastic wrap my brand new bedroom set before and during the move. On the day of the move, the movers refused. They claimed they were never notified to do this and would not when I asked. I even purchased the plastic wrap but they had their own. They brought the plastic inside but would not wrap anything. They then left the plastic wrap behind. The pieces of the bedroom set were scratched/gouged and scraped against doorways. The broke a leg on the bed and they did not tell me. The movers rested my mattress and base on the ground several times claiming they were heavy (unwrapped). My mattress and base were stained due to this. One of the workers claimed Jeff would send someone out to clean it and to provide an estimate on the damage but that never happened. Myself and another person with me asked one of the movers if he was training, because the other mover was trying to explain to him what to do with the furniture. The worker replied "I don't work for the company, I work at the shipyard, I'm just making some extra money this weekend." The owner, Jeff, had me pay for the move upfront while scheduling in order to receive a receipt the day of the move. I did not receive the receipt that day. He claimed it was missing and somehow mailed it 6 months later but it was too late by then. The receipt was needed in order for me to be reimbursed by my employer for the move. Immediately after, I constantly contacted Jeff through calls and texts to rectify the situation but he ignored my attempts to reach him. I was charged $1400 for them to move one queen sized bedroom set and several boxes only. For that price, I expected professional movers. Jeff refused to work with me to get this justified. He said he would give me 0.60 per pound of the furniture damaged. However, they never weighed any furniture. He sent me a check for $200.00. I obtained the actual weight for each piece from the manufacturer and at 0.60 per pound, he actually owes me more than twice the $200.00 he mailed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Try Harrison's Moving and Storage.

    Their first set of techs did a terrible job with screws pushing out of the felt and joint waxing of slate became visible after a few days.They used some of their own screws and a few weren't flat heads so when felt tightened (I guess) the heards of the screws popped up. Complained after 5 days and was told it was my fault, must have moved my table or had a party on it. I am 63 so sadly no parties like that in my house. Long's would not come out and even inspect their work. They finally negotiated with me to come back for a $100 fee to re-felt table. Found out first set of techs were fired within that 5 day period for "company issues' to be nice about it. New technicians said the job was done terribly but they still charged me to fix their mistakes. Worst part was that the owner tried to make me feel that it was my fault with statements like "how do I know you didnt give them the wrong type of screws" or "how do I know you didnt stand on it and break something". Shouldn't the customer be given the benefit of some consideration since you just fired the 2 guys for ?????.

    I called and was told they could do it at 5 pm. Told them some boxes would be necessary but most everything was boxed. They were on time. while they were loading the truck I stayed out of there way. I thought they were professionals and didn't need to be told how to do their job, besides I was paying by the hour. I was wrong on all counts !!!!! They were nothing more than Trashmen !! No common sense or respect for my things. They literally Threw my things into my apartment sideways, stereo upside down, baskets on the bottom with heavy boxes on top so many glass items broken into smithereens. Absolutely Horrendous. Did not bring even 1 box, carried baske6and small things by themselves all the big heavy things piled on top and in the front. Their name fits!!

    I would highly recommend Absolute Moving Co to anyone looking to move!!! They were punctual, professional and efficient. Not to mention, they offered the best price. They sent 6 movers and 2 trucks and moved everything from our home AND storage unit into our new house in a normal business day. All of the movers were extremely polite and respectful even though it 100 degrees outside!!!
    I can't say enough good things about this company and team of movers. If you want your move to go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend using them.

    I am active duty in the military (Marine Corps) and I had the government contract to move seven items from my home, because they were too bulky for me to move.  The movers came on 22 April, 2015 to pack the items and 23 April 2015 to take them away.  When the movers came on 22 April, a large woman started to conduct the inventory of the items.  When she completed the inventory (which took about 45 minutes), the movers simply left - without allowing me to look at their inventory sheet.  I found it odd that they simply disappeared without even saying goodbye.  When the movers came the next day (23 April 2015) to take the items away, it was a different set of movers.  They gave me the inventory sheets to sign.  I asked the lead mover to walk me through the inventory sheet - and boy am I glad that I did. One of the items I was moving was a grandfather clock that is in mint condition.  When the mover read to me the inventory sheet, it said that the clock was "scratched, split, separating and falling apart."  I will say again that clock is in absolute 'Mint' condition.  Another item I was moving was a mirror - that is in beautiful condition as well...and when we read the inventory, it said "broken, scratched and falling apart." I called a manager at OK moving and storage and explained to him that the inventory was a complete farce, and he explained to me that it did not matter, that I had to sign the sheet and then write at the bottom that I did not agree with the inspector.  I called my military movement coordinator who explained to me that I had to sign the sheet even though I did not agree with the inspector.  I then called the local TMO quality assurance supervisor - who told me essentially the same thing.  I ended up taking a lot of photos of the items so that I can prove that there was zero damage to the items when they left my home.  In conclusion, it is obvious to me that the inspector from OK moving and storage made up a lot of false damages on my inventory sheet in the eventuality that if any damage occurred to the items they could claim that the items were already damaged.  I realize now that the inventory officer left in a hurry because she did not want me to review her inventory of my personal property because I would have asked her to show me the 'damages' to the items that did not exist.  I finish this review with a warning to any/all military movers - IF OK MOVING ARE CONDUCTING THE INVENTORY OF YOUR PERSONAL PROPERTY, HAVE THEM WALK YOU THROUGH ANY AND ALL DAMAGES THAT THEY MARK ON YOUR INVENTORY SHEETS.  It is obvious to me that at the very least the inventory officer wrote a bogus inventory of my household goods.  The name that was signed on the inventory officer sheet was "Ruby Harris".  Be forewarned...and if you find out that OK moving is conducting your packet, ensure you read every comment on your paperwork and have them show you the damages.  If possible, contact your movement coordinator and ask him/her to assign your move to a different moving company.  I am going to encourage TMO to conduct an investigation of how this company handles military moves...I am also going to encourage them to stop using this company for military moves.

    Set up an appointment on 3/12/15 to meet at home for an estimate on 3/17/15 at 9am. Rick called at 7:30am the morning of the 17th to state he couldn't make the appointment that day and rescheduled for 9am the 18th. I understand "life" happens so I was ok with the initial rescheduling. On the 18th he called at 9am to tell me he wouldn't be at my home until 9:30-9:45 at which time I cancelled the appointment altogether. For me, arriving when you say you're going to arrive is very important for a contractor, especially when the contractor chooses the date and time. It usually sets the tone of what the rest of the project is going to be like. Calling at 9am to let me know you're running 30-45 minutes late to an appointment set for 9am is unacceptable.

    These guys were great!  I called for a quote and Jeff was good on the phone and explained his services to me and prices.  They were right on and no last minute changes were made.
    The team called my Monday morning to let me know they were on their way.  A three man crew arrived and they were very polite, professional and handled all of my furniture with care and did not damage the house or scuff walls when they moved me in (and the stairway is pretty narrow).
    It took them three hours - and they hustled the complete time they were there.  I highly recommend them!

    At Your Service Movers
    1. This company" claims to be "professional movers". However, the guy who
    answers the phone, "Corey", is a smooth talking con artist. I arranged for them to
    move my furniture and belonging from a 2 bdrm townhouse to a storage
    unit at short notice after another mover bailed on me. I had very few pieces of furniture as I had already given away/sold much of what I had. Corey was very positive, very convincing that they could be at my house at 9am with
    two men and a truck and would get me moved for$150.00. He was very
    persuasive as to his professionalism and his desire to do a great job. He claimed that he is licensed and bonded.
    However, what he and his partner did was FAR from professional. They
    showed up 3 1/2 hours late, claiming , first, the owner had left his
    phone in the truck overnight where it was parked at another residence
    and had not been able to call to report that they would be late. He
    earnestly promised he would be at my house at 11am. However, at 11am, he
    texted to say that his partner was "finishing another job' and that
    they were on the way. Following many more such texts and phone calls,
    they finally arrived at 12:30pm. The owner surveyed my house and
    informed me that there was a 2 1/2 hour minimum and an additional $40
    travel fee. He had mentioned neither when we contracted by phone for the
    job. I agreed to his demands because I was stuck. There was no way to
    get another mover that day and I had a deadline to meet. These "movers" worked very slowly, stopping
    to make/take numerous phone calls,to take several other lengthy breaks,
    and complained endlessly about the items to be moved (too heavy, too
    large, etc.  re: ordinary living room and bedroom furniture). I showed
    them every room and everything that needed be moved. I foolishly trusted
    that they would do so as I could not watch both the loading of the truck and the items that they were moving out at the same time. However, once we FINALLY got to the storage
    unit, I  noticed that a large box from my bedroom was missing. The owner
    stated that he would be willing to go back and get it, but did not do
    so. In fact, when i returned home, I discovered that they had not moved
    anything out of the second bedroom. Nothing. While still at the storage unit,
    Corey demanded payment for 3 1/2 hours of labor + his $40 "travel
    fee". He had, in fact, worked less than 2 1/2 hours in total and I
    refused to pay him for more than that citing his many breaks, his
    constant complaints, the box he had left behind, and his non disclosure of the travel fee. He became
    extremely angry and demanded the additional money. When I told him that
    we could take it to court, he stated, "I don't do court. I do street".
    That was a very clear threat to hurt me. I ended the conversation at
    that time and exited the storage unit place. Franklly, in retrospect,  I wish I had called the police. As previously reported,
    when I returned home, I discovered that they had left everything in one
    bedroom behind. I was unable to move those items by myself and had to
    leave them behind. I lost approximately $1500 worth of items due to their
    negligence/laziness/deceptiveness. I also discovered, much too late,
    that they had loaded my things into the storage unit haphazardly with my
    box springs,mattress and a couple of other large items blocking my entry. At this time, I am unable to get into unit to see what is
    actually there behind the large, bulky/heavy items.I will have to hire someone else to go out and rearrange the storage I most definitely would NOT recommend these guys to anybody. As I stated, the owner is a
    really smooth talking con man. He does business as, "At Your Service Movers" or "At Your Service 24/7 Movers. However, there is no information regarding their business available on the internet. The phone # is: 757-779-2389. They will not
    return my phone calls re: the items left behind and my losses. Finally, they claim to be licensed and insured. They are NOT.
