    Moving On Services LLC
Everything went like clockwork! Nancy and her team are truly professional. All discarding and donating of items were handled with sincere compassion to help my sister "let go" of stuff that she really did not need in her new environment. They placed & arranged items/pictures on the wall and even made up beds. All items moved were put in their places. My sister just had to help with suggestions of placement--even to placing dishes and flatware in kitchen! They cleaned the new apartment and took away all trash/boxes. Top quality service from such a caring and professional team. Nancy Alberts also provides professional and knowledgeable advice about any life transition. We were blessed to have her services along with her caring team members.

    Craftsmanship By Weathersby
Both as a customer and clients, Weathersby is always my first choice for restoration and upholstering. I never hesitate to tell others that if special care is required, then this company should be contacted to discuss those specific needs. For me personally, I absolutely fell in love with the stunning perfection of my furniture restoration and reupholstering. I highly recommend the services performed by the artisans at Weathersby.

    New Dominion Contractors Inc
All the projects NDC worked on for me went very, very well. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted or even what was possible for the renovations because the footprints of the rooms couldn't be significantly altered (this house is very old). Joe gave me great suggestions and helped me visualize the finished product. He gave me plenty of time to purchase the items that suited my taste and had excellent suggestions for vendors that were very accommodating. His subcontractors were very skilled and provided their services on a timely basis. Joe took steps to protect my floors and carpets from damage and dust. While work was underway, Joe never once let phone my calls roll over to voicemail. He answered every call I made, no matter the time. He also took care of some of the items that were on my checklist that I was unsure about or that confused me, and never once showed any impatience or attitude. I very much enjoyed working with NDC and will use him for the rest of our renovations and updates.

    Geek Squad - Best Buy
On Jan 15, 2016, I purchased a new refrigerator from Best Buy.  I live in an older home and the kitchen door is only 29" wide so, the refrigerator could be no more than 29"deep with its doors removed.  I specifically said, "the doors need to be removed on the old refrigerator in order to get it out and on the new refrigerator to get it in."  They did not have the refrigerator I needed in stock so, they ordered it and promised to deliver it early Friday morning, Jan 29.
On the evening of Jan 28, I removed all the items from the old refrigerator and placed them in styrofoam boxes and carried most of the frozen food to the basement freezer.  At about 8:30 that evening, after I had already injured my back, they called to say the delivery was cancelled and I needed to call and reschedule.  So, I called and rescheduled.  And then proceeded to bring all the food up from the basement and put things back in the old refrigerator.
They couldn't deliver the refrigerator again until the following Friday, Feb 5.  So, on the evening of Feb 4, I removed all the food again, to prepare for the delivery.  When the delivery men got here, they said they could not deliver the refrigerator because the shut off valve for the water for the ice maker was corroded and he would not turn the valve lest it leak.  He said I needed to have a "professional installer" to fix the valve before he would do anything.
I called their help line and was told the driver "misspoke" and it was not a "professional installer" I needed but a plumber.  So, I called Michael & Sons, who had a plumber at my house within an hour and had a new valve and water line installed that day.  It cost me $410 (which I now believe I did not need).
I put all of the food back into the old refrigerator again.  I rescheduled the delivery a third time.  The third delivery was today.  The food was out of the refrigerator.  The brand new, $410 water line was installed.  They removed my old refrigerator.
When they tried to install the new refrigerator, they could not get it through the kitchen door because "the screws were stripped on both new refrigerator doors" and, since they could not remove the doors, they could not get the new refrigerator into the kitchen.  It is currently sitting in the middle of my dining room floor... on the carpet.  They did not have the tools to remove a stripped screw and they can't get anyone with such a tool to my house until at least tomorrow morning... assuming it doesn't snow.  If it snows, there's no telling when they will get here.
Today's driver said the screws were stripped when he got the refrigerator.  If that is true, that tells me the last driver wasn't so concerned about a corroded water valve as he was about knowing he had stripped the screws and couldn't install the refrigerator.  I paid a plumber $410 that I did not need to pay.  I have 3 styrofoam boxes full of groceries spoiling in my kitchen.  I have a defective "new" refrigerator messing up my dining room carpet.  My entire kitchen is a wreck and I have no hope of getting anything fixed for at least 24 hours and, given this company's track record, it won't happen then either.

It came back better than new--very, very pleased.  The top had been  scratched and wet paper had been laid on it--it is better than when I purchased it many years ago.  Matches perfectly with rest of piece.

    CROCKIN'S FURNITURE
I had dealt with M. M. Crockin since 1963 and had always been pleased with their furniture and service.  So, when I decided to carpet the living room, dining room, and hallway of my house, I was happy to learn that they also sell carpet.  I purchased a high-end carpet and pad because I was planning to retire and wanted to have everything in the house as user-friendly as possible before I quit work.  What the salesman did not tell me was, Crockin does not do carpet installation.  They sub-contract it out.  I'm not even sure who they contracted it out to because only one man on the team of installers could speak English and he left shortly after the job began.   The "installers" ripped up the molding from all around the floor (except the stairwell) and proceeded to knee the carpet to the wall.  They used no stretchers that I could see.  They scratched the paint off of the molding and walls; they did not remove doors or adjust the doors in any way for the carpet; there are many places where the carpet is simply sitting on the floor with no attachment at all.  Naturally, it began to buckle shortly after installation.  Crockin's solution was to give me the name of a guy who would fix the wrinkles "cheaply."  He charged $100 and fixed the first huge wrinkle across the living room.  A few months later, there was another wrinkle.  Twice I have paid someone to patch up Crockin's sloppy work.  Now, I'm having what I hope to be a real professional fix the problem, at least in the dining room and hallway, permanently.  They said a real installer would have used a machine to stretch the carpet and there should be no places around the walls or radiators or fireplace where you can just pick the carpet up with your fingers.  I have not bought anything from Crockin since this carpet disaster and I never will again.  My back is aching from moving books from bookcases and dishes from china cabinets so carpet men can fix their mess AGAIN.

    Old Peg Furniture Services
I just got the stuff back last Monday. They had very good professionalism and the quality of their work was just out of this world. I was also pleased with their price. The owner himself wanted to do the repairs of the antiques and the antiques were like 170 years old but it took him 10 months before he had a time when he could allot two days to do the work himself.

    APPLIANCE ENTERPRISE
They are absolutely outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone. They are still in the process of finishing our kitchen. They have kept us up to date with everything. The cost was incredible. They came out to the house several times to take measurements to make sure the measurements were right. They have very skilled workers. They would come in and do what they had to do, clean up and leave. Right now we're waiting for them to hook up our range that something to do with our gas stove. They're going to schedule that this week. Compared with other company they have cheaper price and I got some of the prettiest cabinets. I know they are expensive because they are absolutely gorgeous. I was just ecstatic. They had just done a fantastic job and we have just been so pleased.

    Becker's Piano Tuning
Excellent service!  Called to let me know when he was on his way and showed up on time.  Brought old family heirloom back to life and in working order.  Went above and beyond the scope of the groupon and also fixed some stuck keys.  He was even nice enough to patiently explain everything to my ever so curious nephew.  Will definitely use for all future piano maintenance needs!
