    Bay Crawlspace & Foundation Repair
The entire process was handled very professionally. The crew that preformed the work were knowledgeable and very courteous. When we had questions or concerns they were taken care of by the crew and supervisory personnel. We would highly recommend them to anyone that needs the services that they offer.

    The Drying Co
The advisor (Mohammed Saeed) was very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. He not only explained what needs to be done but also provided with detailed pictures of our house crawlspace. With confidence we look forward to the work to be performed in the next three weeks.

    A-1 Inc Exterminators
They perform service annually. The work they did was varied, most of it was an inspection which was a one to two hundred dollar range. I did have some other work done that was around eleven to twelve hundred dollars. It keeps the moisture from coming underneath the house. The price was reasonable. I don't think they could have done anything differently. I've been using them since 2012.

    JES Foundation Repair
Trust --- we trusted JES to fix a bad situation and they did!
This waterfront home was built on poor soil ? as a result, portions of the house sank 5 inches and the detached garage sank a catawampus 11 inches.
The house renovation was planned to the inth degree and completing major items such as roofing, plaster work, flooring and more were dependent on getting the structural problems fixed first. Walls were cracked, windows didn't work, sliding doors wouldn't open, and floors were amiss. The house needed a complete renovation.  A year and a half ago, we hired a local competitor to JES. They worked for four months with little oversight, the majority of their helical piers failed, engineering oversight was non existent, and they left the garage in a jack hammered unusable condition. I had to fire them off the property.
After receiving several more structural estimates, we chose JES to remedy the problems.  Their crews and supervision came in like gangbusters and they finished it all in 29 working days. It was a huge effort. They drove numerous piers down 35 feet, lifted both the house and garage, reinforced walls and floors, and finished it off with a walk through. My wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the production and engineering competence and expertise. Windows and doors that hadn?t worked in years freed up and are now usable, the family room isn?t crooked anymore, and I have my garage back. We trusted them to do the job ? and they did!
I only wished we'd hired them first -- we would have saved thousands, we would have less gray hair, and would have finished the renovation a year ago. Lesson Learned.
JES's management team was great and the engineering work was impressive. Our investment in them paid off with dividends. We were lucky to find a company like JES.

    House Call Co
Within a couple weeks, the weather turned hot and the upstairs system would not keep up. We called the House Call company and they sent out a technician, who supposedly looked things over.  He put more refrigerant in the system and charged $229 for a service call.  He told us that the upstairs condenser on the furnace was rusting and had a bad valve, and would need to be replaced for a minimum cost of $1300.  He offered options to replace the condenser and the 10-year old compressor for up to over $6000.
I asked a couple of my mechanical engineer friends about the service and they were suspicious.  The head of maintenance for a local college campus came out and looked at the system and said that he thought it could be a number of things, only one of which was possibly the valve. But he did check the pressure of the refrigerant and said that the system was two pounds over pressure (of refrigerant that House Call had installed).  He recommended that we get a reputable mechanic out to look at the system and gave me the name of the people he used for his home system.
The reputable mechanic recommended that we install an attic fan - it was over 130 degrees in the attic that day and the heat pump was fighting to keep up with that temperature.  He fixed broken wires on the condenser that did not allow it to operate (wonder how that happened?).  He also tested the pressure in the system and took out the two pounds of refrigerant that House Call's tech had installed.  He took the cover off the compressor and cleaned the coils (that House Call was to have cleaned in May and the previous fall) and said they had not been cleaned in a very long time.  All in all, he undid what House Call had done, did what they were supposed to have done, and then installed an attic exhaust fan, all for a reasonable price.   The system worked fine all summer.
House Call Company billed us for the service call and we told them that we would not pay it.  They cancelled the cost and said they would give us back our $229.

    Gibraltar Group Remodeling and Construction
But all for nothing....Gibralter never showed, never returned my
numerous phone call requesting they call me, never returned additional
Angie's List message. I am requesting a refund through Angie's List.
I urge everyone NOT to use this provider. I am so disappointed and frustrated. This was a total waste of my time, gas (to drive out to rental home), and babysitting funds. Now I start over...

    The Crawlspace Company
The job went perfectly well, aside from some mutual scheduling conflicts between my work schedule and their schedule.  The workers who showed up were prompt, courteous, and efficient in what they did, and aside from some residual foam particles that would have required a vacuum cleaner to remove from the back lawn, they did a superb clean-up job.

    A-1 Inc Exterminators
Great customer service!  They were very flexible when I needed to changed the date/time of service. The technician arrived on time and was so very professional and courteous.  He installed the barrier installation in no time and provided me with the results (good news in this case).  In no way did I feel pressured to buy any additional services.  He stated that they would be back in a couple of months just to check to see if everything is still OK.    I would definitely use  A-1 Inc Exterminators again.

    JES Foundation Repair
Instead of redoing the foundation, they only patched it. The wood was also not flush with the wall, so they filled those spots with a foam spray. Animals could still get in with this foam. They also destroyed my tile and some furniture. I would have moved the furniture out if they would have asked. I feel that I was taken advantage of because of my age. They gave me $500 back, but I do not feel like that is enough. I would not recommend them at all.

    All Aspects Waterproofing
Jeff, a Senior Inspector from All Aspects, was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable. After inspecting the area, he provided a drawing of the basement structure and gave me an explanation of how the moisture entered the house. He indicated that unless there was water actually entering the area, there was no need for waterproofing at this time. I was extremely thankful and relieved with his assessment.
