    TED JONES APPLIANCE
The Ted Jones repairman came the same day I phoned to offer a second opinion after another appliance repairman had diagnosed a bad bearing and worn shock absorbers on my Frigidaire front loading washing machine, a repair that would have required the complete dismantling of the machine costing over $600. Ted Jones suggested I just replace the shock absorbers, which the repairman was able to do by feel from the access panel at the bottom front of the machine. The repair returned the machine to like new operation for $141. including parts which they did not mark up at all over prices I found on the Internet. In addition, the repairman gave me lots of good advice about replacing the 20 year old machine when it finally wears out. I am so happy to have received competent, reasonably priced service from Ted Jones and highly recommend them.

Repair person was fantastic and extremely honest about issues with the Samsung ice makers. Could have charged me 250-300 to install a new one but issues would most likely occur again. Appreciate the honesty and tips on how to minimize ice maker from freezing going forward. Absolutely will use them again if I have any issues with any appliance!

A+++ Excellent. George (the owner), came to my house within an hour of my phone call. He immediately identified the problem, secured the water source to stop the leak, and placed the broken part on order. He also cleaned up all spilled water inside and out of the freezer. The day the part arrived, he installed it. Again, everything was extremely fast and expertly done. As long as I live in this area, I won't need to look for another company. 100% recommend to everyone else. I wish all contractors were this good.

    K&D Services
Very professional work with a great technician that left the area better than he found it. On time and called ahead to make sure somebody knew he was going to be there. The washer was up and running perfect within an hour. The tech even showed and explained the work preformed on the washer and leveled the machine before leaving. I would call and recommend K & D Services again when an occasion has risen. Thank you for your customer service!!!

They were very good. They came at the appropriate time. They called us. They had everything. They did a good job. They gave a reasonable estimate over the phone and everything. It was $75 to come out and look at it and that was a credit and it was like $125 for the part. The price was better than whatever the manufacturer would have had. They called us back. They were there when they said they would. I actually wasn't home and it was my wife that was there when they came. I just spoke with them on the phone but she said they were very nice and she liked them.

    Geek Squad - Best Buy
On Jan 15, 2016, I purchased a new refrigerator from Best Buy.  I live in an older home and the kitchen door is only 29" wide so, the refrigerator could be no more than 29"deep with its doors removed.  I specifically said, "the doors need to be removed on the old refrigerator in order to get it out and on the new refrigerator to get it in."  They did not have the refrigerator I needed in stock so, they ordered it and promised to deliver it early Friday morning, Jan 29.
On the evening of Jan 28, I removed all the items from the old refrigerator and placed them in styrofoam boxes and carried most of the frozen food to the basement freezer.  At about 8:30 that evening, after I had already injured my back, they called to say the delivery was cancelled and I needed to call and reschedule.  So, I called and rescheduled.  And then proceeded to bring all the food up from the basement and put things back in the old refrigerator.
They couldn't deliver the refrigerator again until the following Friday, Feb 5.  So, on the evening of Feb 4, I removed all the food again, to prepare for the delivery.  When the delivery men got here, they said they could not deliver the refrigerator because the shut off valve for the water for the ice maker was corroded and he would not turn the valve lest it leak.  He said I needed to have a "professional installer" to fix the valve before he would do anything.
I called their help line and was told the driver "misspoke" and it was not a "professional installer" I needed but a plumber.  So, I called Michael & Sons, who had a plumber at my house within an hour and had a new valve and water line installed that day.  It cost me $410 (which I now believe I did not need).
I put all of the food back into the old refrigerator again.  I rescheduled the delivery a third time.  The third delivery was today.  The food was out of the refrigerator.  The brand new, $410 water line was installed.  They removed my old refrigerator.
When they tried to install the new refrigerator, they could not get it through the kitchen door because "the screws were stripped on both new refrigerator doors" and, since they could not remove the doors, they could not get the new refrigerator into the kitchen.  It is currently sitting in the middle of my dining room floor... on the carpet.  They did not have the tools to remove a stripped screw and they can't get anyone with such a tool to my house until at least tomorrow morning... assuming it doesn't snow.  If it snows, there's no telling when they will get here.
Today's driver said the screws were stripped when he got the refrigerator.  If that is true, that tells me the last driver wasn't so concerned about a corroded water valve as he was about knowing he had stripped the screws and couldn't install the refrigerator.  I paid a plumber $410 that I did not need to pay.  I have 3 styrofoam boxes full of groceries spoiling in my kitchen.  I have a defective "new" refrigerator messing up my dining room carpet.  My entire kitchen is a wreck and I have no hope of getting anything fixed for at least 24 hours and, given this company's track record, it won't happen then either.

    House Call Co
Matt was on time and Dx the problem quickly. He said he would check and see if the motor would be covered under warranty. He called his company and stated the blower motor was out of warranty and it had expired 1/13, He stated the repair bill would be $899.00 I questioned this because to my knowlege,  parts were warranted for 5 yrs. I had another contractor ck and stated the motor was in warranty. The part was ordered and  the repair was completed 2 days later saving $360.00

    TED JONES APPLIANCE
It went flawlessly. Ted showed up when he said he would, gave me approximate costs before he proceeded, worked quickly, tried to avoid making a mess, and has a wonderful attitude. The guy loves his work. The parts he ordered for me were installed the following day. Ted also repaired my dishwasher recently. You can't do better than Ted Jones Appliance in Tidewater.

    G H Appliance Repair
I had a very good experience and would recommend them to others based on it. The technician (William) was patient, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions in a friendly way. He took extra time to explain the technical details. He quickly brought in spare parts to isolate the problem, which ended up being a broken compressor, a very expensive repair. He took the time to draw up a repair estimate at my request, but due to how close it was to the cost of a new fridge he recommended against the repair and suggested it would be a better use of my money to replace it entirely.
In short, this was clearly a highly skilled technician who understood his work and seemed to have my best interests in mind.

Fantastic service!  I spoke with George on the phone and he set up a time the next day convenient to my schedule.  The tech arrived on time and performed the repair quickly.  So glad to have my oven back up and running again!
