Drywall Repair reviews in Palmyra

Quality of the work was excellent, however he left 4 different times during the job for various reasons. I can understand leaving to unload construction debri from his truck however I don’t know if I was paying his hourly fee while he was gone or not and not all times was he leaving to unload debri. His invoice did not break down how many hours were worked, charge for debri disposal and I had to ask for copies of receipts for weather strip purchase. I also had an Angie’s list coupon for 10% off (told Mr Powell I had this the day he can and looked at the job) however , I have no idea if I received since the invoice did not reflect these things.

I can't say enough about how amazing Sergio was throughout the whole process. I provided him with vague ideas and concepts. He was able to take my ideas and pull everything together into a cohesive design. He listened well, and every time he'd send photos of components for the remodel, they were exactly what I had envisioned. Everything came together with amazing craftsmanship and I couldn't be happier. There were also the inevitable surprises, and Sergio did additional work within the original quote to resolve the problems uncovered during the renovation including cut/unsupported joists. I'll be calling when I remodel my bathroom.

Horrible from the start, two years later (end of warranty) still trying to get things done correctly. No supervision of crew(s) at all, errors had to be pointed out and "fixes" were sub par. No tradesmen used, just general construction type guys. Hard tile had to be replaced, hardwood floors installed poorly with large gaps, lied to about work to be accomplished, materials preferred by homeowner were substituted with cheaper versions to create more profit. Unresponsive to requests, frequent "no shows", moved out of house for six weeks and little done in that period. Caulk/grout installation very poor, redone several times and still not correct.

All repairs/replacements were completed quickly and to my complete satisfaction. I feel that the price was fair. The crew members were all were respectful and pleasant at all times. They cleaned up thoroughly at the completion of the job. I will definitely be calling upon this provider again when the need arises.

A complete and utter nightmare!! Every single aspect of our bathroom renovation was substandard and unfinished. It was so poorly done that we had to hire reputable contractors to redo all Mr. Palumbo’s work. We employed a master electrician to rectify all wiring Mr. Palumbo did which was all out of code. We will have to hire another contractor to rip out all floor tiles and glass block window. I spent an entire week chipping out large chunks of grout in the shower. We were left with an unfinished bathroom and 2 cracked windows with the outside of the window frame being open to the elements. He and his workers disrespected our house in every way and left it in such a mess that we still cannot get all the residue from the work he did from our driveway, porch and garage. I have to repaint my front door because of the mess that was left behind. The contract was signed on March 28, 2017 “with all processes being completed on or about 2 weeks later.” Work was to begin the end of April. He showed up May 8, 2017 to begin the renovation. He and his assistants worked on and off through May and June. On June 30th he asked for more money and we reminded him we had already paid him 95% of the total price. On July 6th, I contacted Mr. Palumbo and asked when he would be returning and he stated in a text that he had started another job. We have not seen him since June 30th. In addition to not finishing the bathroom, he was supposed to have installed a beam and brace in the basement. This was not even started and of course already paid for. We were fools to have paid him so much in advance. We paid him for all materials by 5/12/2017 only for him to ask for more money. When I asked him why, he said he didn't have the funds which means he was spending our money on other projects. Mr. Palumbo told me he would have to change his name from Stoney Creek Development to LED Solutions Pro/LED Construction because the person before us was suing him and now they wouldn’t be able to get to him. See review on Angie’s List dated 10/17/2017. I want to warn others of the absolute shoddy and dangerous work he does. He hires inexperienced workers off the street, brings them to the house, tells them what to do and then leaves. Many a morning was spent tearing things apart from the day before. The contractors that have come to help us repair and replace are aghast at his incompetent work and believe he needs to lose his license and be taken off the street. We are just sick about being scammed and just hope to save the next person from believing his lies. Please reference the reviews on Angie’s List, Home Advisor, Google and Houzz for similar stories. ELECTRICAL: The worst of all and most dangerous! ALL wiring was not grounded and there were hot wires exposed below the caps then tucked inside the walls. (We were told an inspection was not necessary for a bathroom reno.) STRUCTURAL: Walls were knocked down to create a walk in closet and walls built out to create a water closet. Everything he built was out of square which unfortunately we are going to have to live with. Just for the record, the walls that were off were the walls he built himself. The crown molding was incorrectly secured to the new cabinets. There were several attempts to make holes in the back of the new cabinets for plumbing. The barn door for the water closet was hung crooked. Ceiling below the bathroom was damaged when it was stepped on resulting in a crack that has to be repaired. There were no face plates put on the cabinets. Glass block installed in window area with uneven grout. Glass block window is bowed and sagging in the middle. The job was left with 2 cracked window blocks and the outside left open to the elements. Shower wall under the window also bowed. WALLS: Every seam was so poorly “mudded”. To compound the horrible job, Mr. Palumbo painted over it. There were gouges in the walls that were never filled in and grout chunks on the wall also painted over. There was gray paint all over the ceiling. The walk in closet was never painted. TILE WORK: Horrible!! The floor is so uneven that there are sharp points of the basket weave tiles sticking up so if you are barefoot it would be possible to cut your foot. When grouting the shower there were no drop cloths put down. When pieces of grout fell to the floor, it was stepped on and ground into the textured tiles. There was so much tile breakage we were sent to buy more. As it turned out, they were a different color and installed anyway. There is a tile under the toilet that “popped up” when the toilet was being tightened to the floor. No effort was made to fix it. Grout all over the walls from putting in the base board molding. No tile face place under the vanity. Granite vanity installed at an angle. No caulking on vanity. Different color tiles installed around window. Shower not caulked properly. 1st shower taken, there was water all over the floor. PLUMBING: Shower not functioning properly. When the shower mechanism was opened up we found a 3 function valve was installed instead of a 6 function valve. We found dried grout all over the inside mechanism. Toilet water supply line abuts the wall.

Once again Dan did outstanding work. He was friendly, punctual, professional, cleaned up at the end of each day and did a quality job. In addition, he went above and beyond. He vacuumed the top of my kitchen cabinets, patched the kitchen walls which had been damaged when I'd replaced the counter tops, sanded cabinet doors that were warped and had been rubbing together, and he even installed new hall light fixtures I'd purchased and unsuccessfully attempted to install myself. Very pleased with the work he did and appreciative of the extra assistance he provided!

Mr. Pollard was very polite, fair, and he did exactly what he said he would do.  He was patient with the planning and with me trying to figure out how I wanted it organized as he built it!  He is very good natured and I was comfortable with him coming and going in the house.

Troy Best is an outstanding contractor. I've owned my home 9 years and had I found him when I bought a fixer-upper I would have saved myself a lot of money and frustration.

It is rare to find someone that is a hard worker, reasonably priced and versatile.

I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again and will recommend him to everyone I know!

    Thank you Troy!!!

Our experience was professional and pleasant. These are nice guys who walked us through the things we weren?t familiar with.

A learning experience for my wife and me; we chose an alabaster color tile and epoxy grout. I initially leaned toward a darker grout with more contrast but changed my mind on the recommendation of the tile showroom. In retrospect I wish I had stuck with my initial choice. This would have eliminated the resulting grout haze which was impossible to see under the bright overhead lights when installing. After the job was completed and we went back to normal lighting (lamps) the haze was evident. My wife and I figured we could remove the haze with white vinegar and warm water. When we couldn?t I researched epoxy grout, learned about the difference, and decided to call a professional tile cleaner to take a look. He quoted an acceptable price and was able to chemically remove over 90% of the haze (epoxy is a bear to remove if not done on installation, and in this case because there was no contrast in the grout from tile any residual grout couldn?t be seen when wet). The floors are laid beautifully and after the cleaning are very nice.

Overall, we are pleased with the final work of KB Contractors, and have no doubt this has increased the value of the property.

We were very pleased with the final product. We have a 150+ old farm so the work needed to match the original quality of workmanship. Integrity was very responsive when black mold was discovered under the floors and worked with our insurance company to remediate. They also diagnosed and fixed the water problem that was causing it.
