    I recently bought a new house and wanted to have my two heading and AC zones cleaned, serviced, and inspected. I submitted my request through Angie's List and I got a call from BVSM within minutes. After explaining what I was looking for, I was quoted what seemed like a very reasonable price for both units and was pleasantly surprised when I found I could even schedule work first thing the next morning. I was told our tech Geo would arrive between 8:00 and 9:00, and sure enough he was there promptly at 8:00. He was extremely courteous and professional and got right to work. He did an extremely thorough job and gave us a very comprehensive report card detailing the work that was done and the current state of our HVAC system. At no point did he try to sell us on unneeded services or extras (I've had this tactic used many times in the past) but did leave behind a brochure for an annual service plan that I will likely subscribe to. Given that my system is older, I want to ensure I have it inspected each Spring and Fall and will definitely be going back to BVSM for those services. And thanks again for Geo for doing an exceptional job.

    We have been using L&B Universal for our HVAC-related services for almost 10 years now. They did not install the original equipment (attic and basement), but they have both fixed several problems that we've had with our original equipment, and by now, have replaced both our furnace + AC and most recently our attic heatpump. They also replaced our water heater. They have always arrived at the day/time that we agreed to, and they are pretty responsive, especially when we have cooling problem during summer and heating problem during winter. The basement installation was in the middle of winter, and I remember watching their workers suffer bringing the equipment to the basement in the middle of a snow storm, and, they even found that the first unit was bad, and then immediately brought a new unit to replace it (again, in the middle of a snow storm). We have also been using them to provide preventive maintenance service, and they are good, because they don't always try to sell us something. So overall, good company to work with and we keep using them :)!!

    North American GeoThermal and their team were stellar - professional, timely, reasonable cost, disciplined, courteous, and stuck with the agreed scope of the project. Their follow-up on all items of work was complete and well done. Their follow-up maintenance on the water furnace has been simple and very reasonable costs. This is THE geothermal company you want to choose for your property. The installation involved a vertical loop geothermal system for my 5000 sf home to replace an oil furnace. Since the work was done in 2015, I've had all of the projected cost savings expected. Now my home that was built in 1970's has uniform heat and cooling in all of the rooms throughout the year at a fraction of what the cost used to be. I highly recommend Richard and the North American GeoThermal team for your geothermal system.

    My 30 year old system was noisy and the electric bills were getting higher every month. Snell said the heat pump was no longer working properly and recommended a new system. Went with Lennox, and it's been wonderful. The team were very professional, arrived early in the morning, and were done in the early afternoon. The system is nice and quiet, and my electric bills went down dramatically. Highly recommended.

    It went well. All services done as requested and on time. Technician worked within a very confined space but made it work. In the process of moving the WH into our basement, two slates were broken and a tie around the tiny patio was knocked down. I would have appreciated being told about it by the installers instead of finding it for myself. It���s not a big deal, but for future customer encounters you may want to ask technicians to be more forthcoming. Thanks.

    Great - Cory was very responsive and provided a quote over the weekend, before any other contractor, and was very competitive on price. The quote had 6 different options for brand and model of replacement units and accessories. After deciding on the option, they worked with me on scheduling the work and were able to install the new unit that week. After installation the team walked me through the operation and care of the new unit, accessories, and the wifi thermostat (very cool!), and registered the unit for me so that I got an additional 5 years on the warranty. SCS did an outstanding job and I can't recommend them highly enough!

    CroppMetcalfe has been a service provider for me for several years and for several different services. Primarily, I used Cropp for regular HVAC maintenance. I have also signed on with them for regular pest control service, as I live in a wooded area. I switched to Cropp for pest control in 2017 for two reasons: 1) I knew they would do good work based on my past experience with HVAC, and 2) when my former, locally-owned & operated pest control company was purchased by a larger, national entity, the pricing went up with no new services or amenities added. Cropp was highly competitive on cost and I like that they are headquartered in my community, Lastly, they installed a new hot water heater for me when mine gave up the ghost last year (after 20 years!). Their technicians are courteous and knowledgeable professionals, through and through. It's easy to schedule appointments, and they use technology wisely (technicians work with mobile devices not paper forms, they use auto-reminder phone calls, and so on). On occasion, they are delayed for appointments, although no more so than other service providers. I chalk this up to the awful traffic we have in the DC/NoVA area and that technicians don't always know in advance how big of a job they will encounter in any given home. They do always call if they will be late, and you can also ask for the 1st appointment of the day (assuming your need is not an emergency).

    Mike Bass came out right on time. Within minutes he isolated the problem to the start capacitor. He had one in his truck. He installed it. Checked the system are confirmed it worked. H & F repaired the second Carrier last year when he found a leak in the Carrier condenser unit inside at the blower. He ordered the replacement condenser coil from the manufacturer and covered it under warranty. His installation was flawless. In the year since there has been no change in Puron pressure. Mike's 30 plus years of experience makes him the best HVAC troubleshooter I've met over my years of owning my own home, working with at IT and broadcast datacenters. I've not encountered a better HVAC technician. Don't be surprised if H & F isolates and repairs your systems problems in half the time of another tech.
