    Chris kept me informed as the transformation proceeded, sending me regular email updates with photos of the work. It was as close to being there in the shop as practical. When problems came up (on a 60+ year-old truck, you get your share of problems), Chris solved them all and even suggested some improvements to the custom mounting of the headlights and grill trim. As you might expect, Quality Auto Body is a busy shop and you may need to wait a bit before you can get in. Don't despair. Chris and Joseph are straight forward about what jobs are in the queue and when they can get you in - and the wait is well worth it. I would not go anywhere else for ultra-high quality auto body and paint work. I paid a very reasonable price for truly top-notch work - and that's a combination that is hard to find anywhere.

    I had pulled into Collision Specialists and spoke with Al to simply see how bad the damage was and to see what it would take to fix.  Al called over one of his body men, Renaldo, and they looked at the damage, and said they could fix it then, on the spot.  Renaldo did a great job and the cost was more than reasonable.  I had been to Collision Specialists before, and they always seem to have the best customer service, not to mention great quality in taking care of my car.

    Steve and his staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Upon my second trip to Steve Ellis I was in and out within 5-10 minutes. Steve did not charge me and I walked away with renewed piece of mind. That kind of service isn't easy to find.

    This was the worst experience I have ever had with an auto body shop.  They need to get their act together if they want to keep business.  My son hit our back bumper into a pole.  The car was covered under our insurance and they have an agreement with Fairfax Auto Body (because they give them preferred rates).  At first they said they bumper would be 2,000 and 9 days to repair.  Then after a week, they said there was hidden damage underneath and it was going to be an additional 4,000 and another 10 days.  But the problem is that no one called me.  They called my insurance company and gave them a copy of the new estimate. But it is my car!  I didn't even know that it was going to be extended.  After that they said it was a part delay and a paint delay and then another thing.  They extended the timeline about 5 more times.  All in all they had the car more than a month - for a back bumper!!  They went far over my rental car allowance.  Every day, my husband would take the rental car to work because they kept telling us it would be ready the next day and then they would say it's not ready.  In the end, I was supposed to pick up the car at 10am one day.  The guy called me in the morning and said that it would be later that day because they were backed up to get the car washed.  Then at 4:30 pm I called to see what time and the guy tells me that the car had to be taken to a service shop down the street because they still couldn't get the trunk to work.  He said that it went to the service shop at 12pm (said he looked at the clock at 1 and it was already there) and he couldn't guarantee it would be that day because the service shop could be backed up.  I asked for the number of the service shop and he wouldn't give it to me.  Finally gave me the name and I called the service shop.  They told the car had been dropped off at 4:15!  He totally lied to me.  Not acceptable.  And their service is horrible.  Never apologetic for their mistakes and the length of time they had the car.

    I took my damaged car to Farrish Fairfax Auto Body to get an estimate. The staff at Farrish Auto Body were very polite and provided a very detailed and accurate estimate. As the work progressed, I was provided regular (sometimes daily) updates on the progress of the car. The work done to the car was very professional and completed on time and within the estimate. I would highly recommend Farrish Fairfax Auto Body.

    Went to Lindsay Collision Center today with a 7 inch white scratch (from a grocery store cart) on the drivers side of my 1 year old RX350. Felt terrible about it. Met with Kara and she looked at the scratch and said and quot;Let me try to do a little magicand quot;. As I sat there waiting, I thought, what is she going to do? Will it look worse than when I brought it in? Should I have trusted her, not knowing what the and quot;magicand quot; might be? 15 minutes later, she brought me over to the car and hoped that I would be satisfied. The scratch was gone! It looked great and you would never know there had been a scratch there. I tried to give Kara a tip, but she refused, saying she was just doing her job. No charge for anything! Kara was great and if I have another issue needing car body repair, I will be back! Thanks Kara!
    The only negative about this experience is that when I called the person manning the phones to tell her of my problem she scheduled me at Lindsay Lexus Service instead of sending me directly to the Collision Center. That required me to spend an extra 20-25 minutes in rush hour traffic. Ugh!

    Craftsman Auto Body Chantilly
    The Chantilly branch is part of a larger network. In theory, the work can be done at any of the branches, regardless of where you bring your car in. My work was all done at Chantilly. This office is really well organized. Tara runs the front desk and knows what's going on with each of their jobs. They kept me informed almost daily. There was a slight glitch when Toyota provided the wrong part, but Craftsman was right on top of it, and let me know.
    They have a close working relationship with the nearby Enterprise Rental Car who will come pick you up and drop you off at the Craftsman office.
    When my insurance company (USAA) recommended them, I was concerned since I didn't know anything about them and this office wasn't in Angie's List. But as I mentioned above, I was so pleased with the quality and responsiveness of the insurance work that I had them fix some other spots (where I tried to take out the concrete pillar in a parking garage, for example).
    It really was a pleasure to do business with Tara and the manager [whose name I have forgotten]. There's no guessing as to what will happen and they really keep you informed.

    Pope's Auto Body & Paint Works
    Went well. Price was reasonable and work was completed at the estimated price. Quality of the work was completely satisfactory and they even went a little beyond scope (in a good way, fixing a blemish we hadn't discussed) at no extra charge.
    I have used them in the past (approx. 3 and 8 years ago) and was equally satisfied then.

    Precision Collision, Inc
    Had another fender bender with our 2011 Hyundai Sonata that was previously fixed by Precision Collision about 6 months ago.  Not only did they apply a patch to make the fender look like new and back into position, they didn't even charge us a penny.  Great service and terrific customer service.  You can't go wrong here!

    I went to then due to their Angie's list review.The folks at the shop were professional, and had the job done sooner than they promised (it was ~2+ wks for work duration) I had to rent a car and their relationship with the car company helped as they picked my up and dropped me off at the shop)They are way-the-h***-out-of-the-way (W of Dulles) but I'm glad I went there.
